We watched a water show put on by RAQ and my daughter was hooked! She started in September with no previous swimming experience and now she knows all of the strokes, and many elegant synchronized swimming figures. This sport is amazing to watch and it has been a true joy to see the growth my daughter has made! I am thoroughly pleased with our club!

Our daughter only started learning how to swim last summer, and now she can swim the length of the pool underwater without taking a breath! The trainers are upbeat, patient, and above all very clear in their instructions, so that she has learned clean, solid strokes. More importantly, it’s about swimming with other kids, so she has fun and wants to learn in order to be part of a group, *not* just a speed demon(a situation in which everyone after the fastest merely loses). We homeschool, and were also delighted to find out that RAQ is an approved vendor with Springs Charter School. Our daughter was able to use her flex funds to cover her fees, and it was amazing to see how she blossomed physically and socially with RAQ. At first, she had trouble keeping up with the running and calisthenics component, but they encouraged her and helped her get caught up. By the time she had to take the required state fitness test, she had become a solid athlete, acing it without any problems! RAQ isn’t just for girls either as there’s a full menu of activities for everyone. Boys are welcome, and the training is an excellent preparation for water polo, too. The adults water aerobics classes are fantastic, and I’ve seen all levels of ability in attendance and feeling comfortable, whether they are elderly, recovering from ill health, or are triathletes. There’s also a masters class for adults who love to swim and want to take up synchronized swimming for the fun of it.
