Big store, good selection and helpful staff. I usually go to staples, but this place was on the way to my destination.

Went there today for binding services. All of them at these department are amazing services. They help me done my big job in same day services. Especially I’m so thankful for Georgia and Stephanie. Great services and reasonable price. This is my first time review since I’ve been using Unilocal more than 4 years. They all make my day. Thank you for your services :))

I went in today to purchase office supplies at really good prices. Unfortunately, I had an incredibly negative experience with the cashier. She was rude and argumentative because I brought my nieces along so that I could purchase more items at the sale price, since there was a cap on how many items a household can purchase. My nieces do not live with me, but she was so combative over the rule which made this such an unpleasant experience. I truly did not know how to respond to such rudeness from a cashier who is supposed to be in the business of helping customers, not ruining their days. This is the second time in just a few years that I have dealt with combative/​argumentative cashiers from this location, and I shop all around so I deal with an enormous amount of cashiers and store employees. They might need to stress to their employees how to be professional and understand that they are in the business of public relations as they must interact with a vast amount of people in their line of work. I really like the OfficeMax location in San Bernardino. The employees over there are always helpful and professional.

This place is a joke for «customer service.»
I call & ask about an in store return on an item I bought online. They said they could do it but would not be sure on if they could give me a FULL refund until I brought in the item. Why? Because they need to enter it into their computer. Why they couldn’t do that over the phone to check to save me the drive, I don’t know. I guess it’s too easy & too beneficial to the customer.
SO, I drive there. I want this crap product dealt with asap. Three idiots at the counter, none of which answer my question regarding the possibility of a full return. Instead, I stand there with them ignoring me for 10 – 15 minutes, while they enter in things on the computer with no success. They conclude that they will just bypass the system & give a refund but not a full one (21 vs. 29). AGAIN, why they couldn’t tell me that in the first place over the phone?!
Grade-​A idiots, the entire lot of ‘em, but especially Courtney with the pink fingernails & a justin bieber key chain. ugh.
Another thing, they answer the phone with a fast & rude «where can I send your call?»…uhm, how about to someone with some answers. I don’t know, what are your depts?! Answer the phone with the intent to help vs. trying to pass me along to someone else asap. I ended up explaining what I needed to 3 different people. Again, with no success or suggestion beyond, «please come in to the store.»
Between the outdated product that shouldn’t even be on the shelves & the customer service, I am concluding that Officemax is a crappy corporation. On the former, I ordered a 2014 planner & it only had THREE WEEKS left to use. If you are selling 12 month planners with 3 weeks left, you’re not a reputable business. It just read «2014 planner» & did not list start & end dates for months. SO I just thought, «well this must be current since they would not sell a planner with little to no use.» Nope. They are not reputable. They will do this & do it often. PULL THE ITEM OFFICEMAX! NO ONE wants to pay 30 dollars for 3 weeks of use out of an advertised 12 month planner. Their response to this, «we’ll be getting in new ones in a few months.»
Screw this corporation, screw this franchise location, and screw their lazy, apathetic, useless, and ignorant staff.

It is what you expect from an Officemax. I come to this one because the one closest to my house closed.
