New York Pizza Co

I went here for the first time yesterday. I ordered their pizza. It was good, just not NY Style. The pizza is ok, but not worth the expense.

Would of gave it five stars except the garlic bread was missing a little flavor, the chicken parmagiano pasta was pretty darn good so no complaints there, overall I would come back to eat here

I’ve been eating here since high school when they had their location off of Arlington and Tyler. I went here today after a sabbatical and was overly pleased to discover it’s just as good as I remembered. Funny to think I started going here when I was 15 and tonight my 15 year old daughter fell in love with their pizza

New York Pizza is my go to pizza place usually. Tonight was a little disappointing as my pizza was burnt and the cheese was overdone to the point that it was somewhat leathery. It may just be an off night, everybody has those every now and then. Delivery was fast and friendly as usual so no complaints there. I will continue to order from them as they are usually spot on.

I came in for a slice of pepperoni pizza. Slice was nice and big, but the pizza wasn’t anything like I’m used to back in NY or NJ. It had very little sauce and cheese. Sadly, It was pretty bland. HOWEVER the crushed red peppers helped out a lot. And an employee responded to my comment and was nasty

I tried the new York style cheese pizza once and was satisfied with the quality of the pizza. Based on that alone, my review would be 3 stars. However, when I called a couple weeks later to order for a second time, I had a negative experience.
After placing my order, I was told my order came out to $ 19. I told them I wanted to pay with a card and after about 30 seconds of waiting for them to be ready to take the info, I was disconnected. I called back and got a different employee who knew what order I was calling back for. She then told me that she was ready to take my card info to pay for the $ 22 order. I explained that the price had just gone up $ 3 and she responded by saying that the other employee had made a mistake and the total was now $ 22. I told her that as a new customer, the right thing to do would be to explain there had been an error and then honor the original price. She said there is no way she was going to do that. I said no problem, that’s fine. There is another new York pizza place right down the street that is just as good and would love to have my business. I ended up ordering from there and will do so from now on, especially since they charged me $ 2 less for the same thing and were much more pleasant when I called.
Owner, if you’re reading this, hassling me over $ 3 just cost you many future orders from my household. Talk to your employees about the customer experience and how it can be just as important as the quality of your food.

I just moved to Riverside and was looking for pizza delivery and found this place. The food is super delicious. we have ordered antipasto salad, pizza, meatball sandwich and a calzone and everything has been great. We recommend this place.

The pizza is always good. I wouldn’t say its quitr up to par with authentic NY pizza but its good. The service however not so much. They never seem to know what the special for the day is. They also never offer the special so make sure you ask.

Being a native New Yorker I will tell you that this is not New York pizza. Corn meal on the crust? If you are looking for real NY style pizza take the drive to New York Pizza Department.
Additionally, I am sure that working on Christmas Eve sucks but it should never show in customer service. I won’t be returning.

I have worked for this owner on a few occasions. 20 years ago.
Mike is a good guy and makes a great product. It’s been a while, but Mike never cut corners. He is a culinary graduate of one of the most prestigious schools and does his best to provide the best quality of food at a fair price.
He makes great sandwiches as well.

My husband and I had lunch here today and we were pleasantly surprised and very pleased. We split an antipasto salad with a delicious Italian dressing. Big enough for two. We’d order that again. I had a slice with green bell peppers and the hubs had a slice with pepperoni. OMG. I am from Long Island and I know great pizza and this pizza was one of the best I’ve had in California. Good ratio of cheese to sauce. And the crust and bottom was toasty and oh so yummy. We will definitely be back to try the rest of their menu. The outside patio was very pleasant and inviting as well.

The pizza here is pretty good! One of the only New York Style pizzas in the area! Not too saucy or cheesy and just the right amount of grease! This is a patio style restaurant so seating is outdoors under a huge awning. You order at the window and within 10 minutes a huge piping hot pizza is ready to burn your tongue. Ours came a little on the burnt side but not bad enough to make it taste bad.
When ordering full pizzas, they automatically give you an ordinary thick crust like you find at Pizza Hut so remember to request thin crust!

I’ve been wanting to try this pizza for a couple years. I ordered 2 large pizzas (little Cesar’s size) one with pepperoni, pineapple and sausage, the other with pepperoni and jalapeños.
The deal was 2L for $ 18 – 19 dollars. But! Only cheese. It’s $ 1.60 per extra topping. This is pretty normal for some places.
It was pretty good but for the price I would rather have Pizza Hut, or better yet costco pizza. I’ve had New York pizza and this did not taste or look like New York style pizza. It was the same stuff any neighborhood pizzeria has, nothing special.
If you want good pizza, they have it, if you want New York Style pizza, go to New York

This is just a basic pizza place. Nothing «best in town» about this place. They have all the potential to be the best, the secret is in the ingredients.
Hope they can change, cause we love pizza & take it very seriously.

Ordered a party pizza tonight. It was ridiculous. Had multiple softball and tennis size spots in it missing topping and cheese. Called and asked for store manager. Explained to him situation he did apologies and said he will give me a $ 2.00 credit next time ??? Really that’s like a slap In the face. He said yhat he couldnt replace or refund cause owner may get mad at him. Like a ¹⁄₃ of pizza missing topping n cheese. I explained That’s unacceptable. He said he would call owner to find out what he wanted to do and call me back. That was at 7pm… it’s 11:30pm and never received a call back. Horrible customer service, ripped off on food. Didn’t get what I paid for and feel totally taken advantage of by this restaurant. They only care about $$$$ not customers! !!

Very impressed at the food experience. Everything that I had was amazing and delicious. I had the manicotti and my girls had the pizza, which was all very tasty. I only came here because I saw the reviews on Unilocal and am glad I did!
There is no public restroom, which I was sorely disappointed. However, the delicious food made up for that.

This place was not that good, maybe good to those that don’t know Pizza, the pizza is (was) very bland.
The key to a good pizza is a good crust and a great tomato sauce, this pizza has a great crust but little or no sauce and no seasoning at all, I was very disappointed.
But the salad was very fresh.
This business needs a lesson in Tomatoes, Olive oil, Oregano, Basil, Sea Salt maybe then the can call this place a Pizza Place. (A Insult to New York).
