Came in around 2pm. I kept making requests about how to pack my food and the lady in there just kept ignoring me. She was very rude and just did However she wants to pack my food. Each time you go near the items they keep suddenly popping their heads and asking what you want but when you’re trying to tell them they won’t listen unless you’re buying and leaving. The food tastes decent though.

Appetizing display!!! — especially if you go early. Americans call this type of set up «fast food». The general Filipino term is «turo turo» which literally means point-point… it suits… you’ll see. Nanay Gloria’s best dishes on the menu is their pancit; the guisado and palabok. It’s a meal in one serving, since it has noodles with fixins and toppings. Their pancit guisado isn’t dry; it’s full of flavor, and they give you a generous portion with their combos. Their pancit palabok is so saucy, it may cause drooling. I have yet to find a restaurant that meets or beats the kare kare(aka karing kow) at the Lucky Chances in Colma near Daly City, CA. For you curious cats, kare kare is made with a peanut butter sauce. And I yuuuuub peanut butta. I haven’t tried the kare kare here; I’m not even sure if they make it on certain days. If they did, since Filipino food has to be a craving for me, I’d be in to encounter this peanut butter oxtail delicacy. But not to deviate from the other tasteful selections available. If your a beef eater(not herder), you must try their caldereta and beef steak. If your a fried foods fan, they have a variety, including fish. It’s typical for Filipinos to have fried stuff with garlic infused vinegar. They have embutido, Filipino meatloaf, too! This store has bonuses… they carry snackeroos along the shelves lined up against the corner wall. The snackies shelves are almost ceiling high! Choices from crackers, chips, desserts, pastillas, mango fruit in boxes, juice boxes and cans. So much to brag about what to eat here. Just be hungry with an expandable stomach :-P The servers are patient if you don’t know what food items are called. So c’mon… mabuhay :-D

I’ve been coming and going to this Filipino fast food place because the food is respectable and it’s the only place of its kind in the area. I’ve had an okay experience for a few months, until one day, I bought a single mango juice and got charged 3.99 for it. I had a feeling I was being overcharged. When I looked at my final cost, I asked the lady to confirm. The older lady brashly told me, yes, let me show you, and took out the itemized receipt. I saw that she had charged me 3.99 for mango juice, and I knew that I never paid that much in the past. She said yes, 3.99, it’s mango juice! That made no sense at all, but not wanting to cause a scene, I just left. I come back a week later and ask about the same mango juice and another clerk said it was only 2.29. I told her I had been previously charged 3.99 for the same item. She scanned it, which the previous lady didn’t do, and it was 2.29. I got charged almost twice as much! She didn’t even say sorry but said that the lady must have made a mistake because the bigger carton, twice the size, was 3.99. I felt like I should have at least gotten a small side dish to compensate for the trouble. But similar to a lot of Asian places, customer service here is poor to none. I would check what you’re getting charged for and make sure you are not getting overcharged.

Their sisig is ! What isn’t though was another young lady at the register. I gave her a dollar coin that I received as change from the train station and she didn’t even look at it before blurting out that I didn’t give her enough. I told her it was a dollar coin and after looking at it for a few minutes, gave me my receipt without saying a word. Oh man, I can hear my mom’s voice right about now«LOOKWITHYOUREYESNOTYOURMOUTHHA!»

Been here a few times now and want to say it’s way better than Chinese food for sure. You ever seen ham hocks in a Chinese t ake out? No, of course :) You ever hear of a eggplant omelet with meat and banana catsup? Of course not :) There’s a mix of cultures foods here including the Asian Spanish Phillipino, that make it very tasty. If you want to eat and make your mouth happy come here. Got a pork type dish that had meat and cracking, auto spell won’t do chicharone :) 2 meat dishes and rice 7 bucks:) I don’t like sweet Chinese take out no more :) Says outside breakfast is available… Wonder what’s available ?! Gotta check it out tomorrow morning :)

I was craving for some delicious Filipino Food and finding this place was phenomenal! The staff were very hospitable, friendly and accommodating. The owner’s granddaughter Angie was very nice and helpful. She was willing to let me taste some of the food and the servings were decent-plentiful. Also, one of the staff named Eric was a delight to interact with – he ensures that your food was well put together. The food was priced reasonably. The taste was delicious and fresh. The servings were exorbitantly enough to satisfy your own cravings for days. Thank you Nanay Gloria for bringing home cooked Filipino Food to the highest standards! :)

This was one of the only Filipino restaurants nearby La Sierra University and from the first time I went here, I was definitely hooked to the food and would come here very often. The workers here are actually very friendly and always recognized me. Maybe it’s because Koreans dont really come here often. I came here very often to the point that they knew exactly what I wanted: Sisig, Adobo, Dinuguan, or Lechon. Even the owner knows I want lechon and always tells me up front whether they have lechon or not. This is one of those restaurants where whatever is up front is only what we can get. The options can get different and if you show up too late, you might not get what you want, for example, I love lechon but they don’t always have it here. Because the food is up front, the service is extremely fast. I come here very often because the food is very cheap and the portions are actually very generous. The food is definitely very good and like I mentioned the lechon and the sisig were my instant favorites. The dinuguan and adobo were also the highlights. The things I didn’t like here were the ube and the pancit malabon, both of which I thought were tasteless and bland. The fish balls I would say are okay to be honest since I felt that it was way too sweet. The turon saba and the buko pandan became my favorite desserts and whenever it was available, I always got. Though the overall experience here was great there were some things that did irk me. If you use card, you need to have a $ 10 minimum purchase so sometimes I would have to buy more stuff just to reach the limit. Also, they do sell snacks in the back but from what my Filipino friends would say, they are pretty old and overpriced. It was also a minor annoyance when their signs say they have something but then when I order, they say they actually don’t have it though I now know they started serving stuff like Halo-Halo Other than that, the friendly service, and the good food options here do make this place worth coming if anybody in Riverside or Corona craves Filipino food.

First time ever eating Filipino fast food. It was good The pork or something was something like my mom would make so I liked it. The place is really small inside and there isnt a soda fountain so that kind of sucks. I was waiting to pay and the lady was like uou can go sit now. Im like yea I know but first let me pay. And nothing too crazy but its a pet peeve of mine when people dont hand me my change and put it on the counter instead and that happend so I was like ugh.

A Pinoy Thanksgiving! Nanay’s was open the day before and day of Thanksgiving, and we had a real treat! The lechong kawali was fresh and crispy, tasty dinuguan. My son loved their pork adobo! Very reasonable prices, generous portions and friendly staff. Will go there again when we go by Riverside!

Great Filipino Food! I stumbled into here since my usual filipino food was closed in the morning. Grabbed Longanisa, Tapa, and Sisig to bring home for the family. Great customer service and happy with the food. Will be back in the future.

If only I could give this place 0 stars! The customer service here is terrible! It took over 10 minutes for the guy to take my order because he was too busy texting on his phone. After he took my order, the total was $ 64 after buying only 4 things! The«large» side order was $ 20. That is way too overpriced for subpar(and incredibly salty) filipino food. I will not be coming back here. Very disappointing!

I love this secret spot. Is it a secret? It’s a very small store /restaurant with a few tables, and it’s rarely crowded beyond capacity but something tells me they have no problem packing it in at lunchtime. They used to have a counter at the Fiesta market which closed unfortunately. But to be honest, half of the reason I shopped there(other than being of Filipino descent) was the Nanay Gloria. Words cannot outdo the justice that photos accomplish, so check out what I’ve added to the gallery and try not to get hungry.

I’d like to start by saying that I worked at Filipino restaurants for 3 years in the past. The only time the establishment I worked for did not cook food a customer wanted was when we literally ran out of ingredients for the entrée. I walked in around 9:50AM and was looking forward to some Filipino breakfast. The turo-turo was filled with main dishes for lunch/dinner, and there was a tiny corner left for breakfast. I asked for tocilog. Manang was about to set up a to-go order for me and remembered that there was no egg. So, I ask her how long it would take to make my order, and she brashly told me that they will not make anymore. I was informed that there are only two cooks, and they have a lot to do. So, I look again. The turo-turo is filled with food. So, where will the upcoming dishes go? Cooking eggs that are included in the breakfast meal(it’s still breakfast time — 10AM) does not take that long. While I was asking questions, another customer came in and she yelled at someone in the back to help her in the front. I thought they were«busy,» but I guess she can’t handle helping two customers at once. I didn’t appreciate her tone and lack of customer service. Coming here definitely ruined my morning. I prefer supporting Mom and Pop restaurants, but I will not return when the employee does not care about her customers.

Food doesn’t taste that great and nothing looks fresh. They give really small portions so it’s not really worth the price. I only go here sometimes just cause its the only filipino spot in my area. Realistically, the only thing I like from here that’s acceptable is the Sisig.

I just went to try this place out and was disappointed. I know what good Filipino food is and this isn’t it. The food I ordered was cold and the portions were small for the price. Also they had boxes all over the place and the employees didn’t seem friendly to people who weren’t Filipino. The lumpia looked tiny and burnt. The food in general didn’t look fresh. I would never go back again, I can definitely cook much better food than this place.

I came in on fight day and ordered 50 pcs Lumpia to be picked up only a few hours later and they were able to do it! The Lumpia was delicious. I also tried their cassava cake, delish. Chicken empanadas were also good and I just ordered 1 dozen to be picked up in 2 hours and they’re accommodating me! That’s good business. Their fruit salad I also bought n tried, also good. It’s a small place but they cram all kinds of snacks in there which is awesome. The staff was polite and she even called me Tita, which means aunt in Tagalog but also a sign of respect, although I felt old being called that LOL! I will patronize their business from now on because I had a very good experience with them! Buy Pinoy!

Came in around 4:30p and while there were a few employees behind the counter, 5 minutes went by without being acknowledged. The guy who was wrapping up my to-go plate put his fingers into my pancit and didn’t think anything of it. The girl at the cash register had no customer service skills what so ever. Disappointed. Green Hills in Ontario still has better food and friendlier service. I’d rather drive the distance to give them my hard earned money.

I’ve only had pork adobo in the past and this restaurant was the introduction to the rest of the Filipino cuisine. it was absolutely amazing. Girls behind the counter very helpful and let me try every single item that I wanted, as they could tell also that I was a newb. I do not know where to begin so I chose the noodles with chicken, a jackfruit with vegetables side, and chicken and veggie side. I definitely will come back I have more things to try at this place. What really put this place over the top were the employees. They were very helpful and courteous, and steered me to what has turned out to be a great lunch. I’m eating as I am writing, err… typing this, so if I have not posted any pictures of what I got, it’s because there will not be much left to show.

Contrary to other reviews, I actually enjoyed the food and selection. I had the pork and chicken Adobo and it sas definitely a value for only $ 6.50 for a two item plate. I think the service could’ve been friendlier, but I guess with some staff changes they can take care of that pretty easily. I will be back, especially to try their lechon and sisig.

Something happened when they moved. Perhaps a change in chefs? Don’t know for sure but some of the food tastes different, not at all what I remembered. Some other reviewers have commented on the hit and miss of their daily fare, and that is what I have experienced too. The Bistek used to be my favorite. It is not any longer. The last two times it was tough, dry from being too lean and overcooked, and the gravy was so bland it tasted like an American/Mid West brown gravy. The dinuguan, too, was no longer prepared the same, missing the savory, zingy flavors I love. We ended up driving all the way to the one and only Goldilocks restaurant that exists in this area, in Temecula, and being rewarded for the trip. I am still happy about the Sinigang and the Mung bean dishes. And the Lechon was still crispy good. I have experienced the rudeness of some of the employees, a shocker for me. And the new location is not conducive to comfort either. The dining area is smaller, the tables, what few there are, are crammed together, and the temperature inside was uncomfortably warm. I would rather stand outside than stay inside. They really need to pay attention to the negative remarks of their customers. If they keep this up, they will have to change their name from Nanay to Byebye Gloria’s.

I don’t care what anyone says, they have the best Sisig in the inland empire! Of all the Filipino fast foods in the I.E. they are the most authentic and execute their dishes very well. I never have problems with the staff. I don’t speak any Tagalog, but I point and choose and they are all smiles! The Sinigang halibut is tasty, the bistek(beef and onions) is hit or miss depending on who cooks it. The Bukol express, Bopis, diniguan, and pork adobo taste almost as good as my moms, which is pretty impressive! I would recommend Nanay Gloria if you’re craving close to your mom or lola’s home made Filipino food and don’t feel like cooking!
