Mane Event Hair Lounge

I started going to Mane Event in college and was instantly welcomed as a friend. I see Ed regularly and he is an amazing guy. Always a fun atmosphere and a great cut. Even when I moved to Arizona for a bit, I waited for opportunities to get back home just for my haircut. Now I am about an hour away and I make sure that I can make the drive. Best place I know of. It may be a bit pricey, but it is worth every cent and you always get the vip treatment.

Only because of the poor customer service does this place get two stars. Without Justin the energy level and courtesy is at an all time low.

I drive from Compton to Riverside just to continue getting blessed w/​a fresh cut. Same barber (G) has been cutting me since high school, I’ll be 30 in a couple months. That should say a lot.
All barbers can cut, trust me. Not all shops are like that! Hospitality, laughter and a good cut is what to expect when walking into Mane Event…

Needed a cut bad and figured I’d check this shop out. I had to chuckle to myself when I walked in, I don’t know how many other white folk they get in this place, I’m guessing not many. No matter, I was welcomed right in and Justin hooked me up nice. Cost a little more than a typical barber but damn (!), not a single hair out of place by the time he was done.
Probably won’t make it my regular shop but I won’t hesitate to go back.

Im giving it a 2 star rating because im nice to begin with, but lets start off. I walked in and sat down waited for a barber to cut my hair after I got off work with my hair already done up that way the barber understands what kind of style I want all he gas to do is fix it up and make it looks spiffy and clean me up with a taper along with triming the side of my hair in layers to fit my hairstyle and cut a line between the comb over. After he sat me down he asked what would I like for my hair cut. I said Id like to keep the same style, just trim the top of my hair where it combs back cause its long and the sides should be layered down and then a taper just to clean out the outter parts of the cut to look clean and a buzz lime thru the top part where it combs over to the back. He took almost a half hour doing the same thing on the bottom part of my hair line from left to right as my friend waited for his cut. Then he started buzzing the top part where it combs over to the back n i felt that he fucked up so he told me what kind of hair product do i use gel or pomade? I said a little bit of both to help style and hold dowm my hair. He then said he was havung trouble doing to line due to my product in my hair. (Well why the fuck didnt u wash it out before we started or at least let me know it was guna be a fucking problem for before u fucked up my cut?) So now I got a wide line up where it combs over. He gave me a mirror and pretty much said he was done 15 minutes later. All he did was give me a taper? For 20 dollars, I walked in to get a fucking taper… I said what about the sides like u cant touch that? He blammed it on the product in my hair then said hell try to work something out. He trimmed some shit off on the sides all the way around but didnt even bother touching the top of my head and said he was done, by this time my friend was 10 minutes done before i was not to mention I still paid the twenty dollars even tho I was very unsatisfied with my ruined cut and lost the 20 dollars. I thought he would wash my hair out at least. He didnt even touch the scissors. Not to forget the big bottle of Hennessey on the floor by his leg. Too bad american barber is closed on mondays. I wish he bothered to make a difference rather than punking me for my money by acting like he was giving me a cut when he was ruining my hair just to make 20 bucks and hop to the next customer. I got hustled.

Being in the Military, I’m required to have a haircut once a week. I’ve been all over the IE in hopes of finding that one place where I can consistently get a great fade, and be in and out in a timely fashion. Mane Event is it! I’ve been getting my weekly haircuts here since mid December, and I honestly haven’t been disappointed once. My man Justin does a great job every single time. I call his phone, make an appointment the day of or the day before, and when I walk in he’s always sitting there waiting for me, even when I’m always early!
The actual cut: a dang near perfect fade everytime! My hair is simple to cut, but you’d be surprised how many people can mess it up. Justin always gives me a clean fade, with NO LINES! It’s always blended good.
Also, see Alphonzo, he’s cut my hair a few times and always does a great job. Overall: this place is amazing! By far my best experience with a barber shop in the Inland Empire!

Justin is the best barber! He cuts my son’s hair and he’s great with children and his overall professionalism is awesome. I love the environment of the barbershop and the great décor and style, its definitely caught the attention of the surrounding community and is putting that area on the map!!! Thanks!

What’s good mane?! This is the spot to go to if you want to come through FRESH!!!
I mainly go here and get cut by G… the man is a goddamned ARTIST… a true professional through and through and has NEVER given me a bad haircut. He will cut your hair until it is perfect… because that’s what he is. a perfectionist. He has given me the freshest fades and tapers that have ever graced my skull… not once have I received a haircut by him and not received a compliment. His skill and precision is so good he should have a PhD on his wall because the man is a surgeon when it comes to cutting that hair!!! He will go over and over that fade until it has been deemed worthy to be certified fresh.
Come to this spot and ask for G especially if you are going to an event or special occassion and need to be done proper… you are sure to be satisfied. price for a cut is $ 15. You can call to make an appointment as well which I recommend since they can get quite busy especially on the weekends. You will leave feeling like a new man and just might even feel a lil extra swag too. ha!
