Image One Camera & Video

they are the best for anything Photo and camera. Bobby’s the best, and everyone else is also the best but I’m Team Bobby!

I truly wanted to support local businesses, but when a Nikon D7100 body was sold at Image One for the *sale price* of $ 1096.99, while:
— it’s $ 799.95 directly from Nikon,
— it’s $ 796.95 from Amazon,
— it’s also $ 796.95 from B&H, but with 16G SanDisk and Watson Battery Pack,
— it’s also $ 796.95 from Adorama, but with 32G SanDisk, wallet for 12 disks, glass screen protector, Slinger camera bag, cleaning kit, and Corel software,
there wasn’t any doubt who would *not* get my business.
I understand a small brick-​and-​mortar store has to have good markup to survive, but $ 300 over *retail* prices elsewhere is more than a mark-​up, it’s highway robbery.
I ended up purchasing my D7100 from Adorama for 3 cents less than what Image One charges. You may ask why I would order online for 3 cents less? Well, these are the reasons:
1/​I had my selection of kit lenses and chose an 18−140mm ED-​VR (priced at Nikon for $ 499.95), something Image One did not include in their price.
2/​I also received $ 149.80 worth of accessories: Samsung 32G Sandisk, Green Extreme battery pack, Slinger camera bag, and Nikon WU-​1a Wireless Mobile Adapter.
3/​I didn’t have to pay $ 87.76 sale tax (sale tax was not Image One’s fault, but the expense would still have to come from my pocket.)
4/​I was guaranteed a 30-​day return for full refund (no restocking fee if merchandise was not damaged), no question asked.
So, I did not save only 3 cents from NOT buying from Image One, I actually saved $ 587.71. In addition, I received $ 149.80 worth of (free) accessories.
Guess what, the folks at Adorama spent 45 minutes on the phone listening and answering half a dozen of my questions and concerns just as someone at Image One would have done, I assumed, but there was absolutely no pressure or sale pitch from Adorama. I could easily end the conversation without buying anything and they wouldn’t mind a bit. I doubt the lack of a sale after a long session of Q&A would go down easy with the folks at Image One.
So, what did I do with the money I saved?
1/​I bought a Think Tank Retrospective 20 from B&H, (not available from Image One) at $ 69.75 sale price — 60% off from the regular $ 174.75,
2/​a Tokina AT-​X 116 PRO DX-​II 11−16mm f/2.8 (also not available from Image One) for $ 449, also from B&H.
I still have $ 68.96 left, plus $ 17.46 B&H reward towards my next purchase. That’s more than enough for a Hoya/​Moose 77 mm Warm Circular Polarizer Glass Filter and a couple quality step-​up rings.
I’m sorry, Image One. Unless you lower your price so it would be compatible with other retail stores (or if you must set your price higher, at least do not set it at $ 300 — $ 500 higher), I will not visit you again anytime soon.

This place really has their organization skills on point. And the staff here are amazing at what they do. (Makes me wish I worked there.) Always willing to help. I have an obsessive camera disorder, & purchasing a T-​shirt that says that, made my day! Felt ready to go out and shoot with the camera lens they fixed for me. Love this place!

John and his colleagues are awesome! The support doesn’t end after the purchase either, they’ll go out of their way to make sure you are happy with the equipment if there are any issues!

Shadi and his staff are wonderful. They have great pricing and are extremely knowledgeable. Not only do they sell equipment, they also have classes and a studio upstairs for rent. All you photography needs will be met!

I came in looking for a back up camera for my wife and there selection was overwhelming. Not knowing much about cameras they walked me through all the pros and cons of several modals. By the time we finished I had a pretty good idea of cameras and really felt I could make the right choice on a great camera for my wife.

Riverside is a bit out of the way for me, but I drive here from Newport Beach because I trust Shadi and his staff. They have always taken wonderful care of me and any technical issue I’ve ever had while being super friendly and sweet. I highly recommend them!

I have to start with complementing on the organization and cleanliness of the store! I also appreciate the professionalism of the entire staff! Not to mention their knowledge of the products on their shelf! I do have to say Shadi went above and beyond how the video camera a friend was going to buy for a local school operated for what the purchase was intended for! We walked out of the store confident with the product we purchased and knowing we can call or come back if we had questions! Hands down this is the ultimate one stop shop for all your camera & video needs!
Oh and I’m no photographer but I love the stylish items they have from straps to cases!

I was really excited to check this place out since I just bought my camera, & ended up spending $ 130 on what an employee assured me was the best SD memory card for my camera type. Plus, it was a card that came with a lifetime warranty. Well, I’m a student, and that was a big chunk of change for me. Turns out I was too trusting. It was my fault for not doing prior research, but I went home and found the exact same card (which I could have bought a warranty for at a reasonable price) for $ 43! A name I recognized with all the «extreme,» «pro,» blah blah guarantees. & it was at my door in the morning. I went to return the card I purchased in less than 20 hours and I was charged a $ 20 restocking fee. It was a memory card. There were no tears in the package besides the plastic section where the card was placed, and it came off where it was glued on.
I love supporting local businesses, but I felt like I was taken advantage of here. I was very clear that my knowledge was limited and instead of feeling like I was being helped, I felt like I got gypped. On top of all of this, my friend came with me to buy a battery and felt that a separate employee was being quite rude to him. I know the closest area with a similar store is in OC, but I’d much rather drive all the way there then step into this store again. They definitely lost a good customer.

Highly recommend. Get all my camera gear from Image One, professional knowledgeable staff always willing to listen, to what I need. Lens, cameras, lighting they have it all. The owner Shadi is always a pleasure to work with.

It’s great to have our very own camera store in Riverside! I was sad when Ritz left, but the store came back bigger and better as Image One! As a professional photographer it is great to have a resources in our own community.

As a consumer, I recently bought my current pro level camera from this store. The prices were competitive and the service agreement was over the top! I get 3 years of cleaning with my extended warranty. I’ve been able to purchase my gear when I need it and when there is something I need but not in stock, they make sure to get it!
I will keep coming back to this store for my photography gear and encourage other photographers to come here too.

Wow! My husband bought me a new camera for vacation and thanks to the guys at this store, I love it! Easy to use, compact and a great deal (from what I hear). The guys were very knowledgeable and super nice, answered every question he had.

So pleased with the service and prices from image one, john was amazing to explain to me the funtion of a variable filter and was pleased with helping me purchase my very first, i reccomend this store highly to any beginner photgrapher as my self and for pros. I purchased a couple of camera lenses the last time I came into the store. This is a great place to shop for cameras. It brings back memories of the old Phototorium. The staff is knowledgeable about their product and won’t sell you something you don’t want.
At one point, I wanted to get my digital picture developed into prints. I was disappointed that they did not have the professional photo printing equipment. However, I guess I’ll just have to stick with Costco. Maybe they will have this service later in the future.

Found this store on Unilocal,came on Friday afternoon, they carried everything I needed and looking for, very friendly service will come back for sure.
