I am always delighted with the way my hair is transformed by this creative and talented team. Eugene truly listens to his customers and sees their vision. He works diligently and teaches how one should treat their hair. His suggestions are always spot-​on and truly make a difference. His assistant is friendly and knowledgeable as well. She pays attention to detail and isn’t satisfied with mediocre work.

I went in at the last minute to get my hair colored and cut. I just picked a place and hoped for the best. I even took my daughter for a trim. Anytime you pick someone new to do your hair it’s always scary the first time. I think my daughter was going to have a stroke if her hair was cut short. Lol. MELINDA is amazing !!! She knew exactly how we wanted our hair and did it in less time than my old hair dresser. The end product was absolutely amazing! My daughter feels more confident and said she will not go to anyone else to get her hair cut. I have since gotten sooooo many compliments on my hair. I highly recommend MELINDA. She is worth every penny spent.

Brian always made my hair look like a million dollar everytime I got an appointment with him. He adjusted what I want to make sure that it suit me as well.
The salon is nice, clean and very modern. The quality of services is top-​notch and it’s my go-​to place when I need a haircut! You really get what you paid for!
(I tried out another place once and went back crying to Brian. Definitely learnt my lesson there)

I’ve been to several hair stylists that are innovative and experienced but no one tops Brian. He specializes in beautiful color and cut and he always does an amazing job. He knows what type of cut works best for your hair texture and look and I can’t tell you how confident and happy I am when Brian does my hair. And he carries luxurious, high performance hair products that are all natural, non toxic, and cruelty free! Xoxo

I read the reviews on Unilocal about ILO and decided to check them out. I booked an appointment with Eugene. And I enjoyed the entire experience from the start. Everyone in the salon is nice, welcoming and very professional. Eugene is an excellent stylist. He gave me a thorough consultation session and then cut my hair. My hair is very very fine and straight. It is hard to cut and style because I always ask for volume. Eugene worked his magic and gave me what I wanted. I highly recommend this salon.
I should also mention that Eugene cuts my hair on regular basis now. He does an excellent work every time :)

Based on a recommendation from a friend, I booked an appointment with Eugene for a haircut.
First off, anywhere that uses online booking is great by me — we are in 2015, and I’m all about local businesses that can get on board.
I enjoyed everything about my time. The salon is fab, without being fussy; Eugene was friendly and welcoming; and they have great product available for purchase.
This was such a unique (and worthwhile) experience because he not only took the time to listen to what I wanted, he also discussed what would be best for my hair and daily routine. Not to mention how he walked me through everything he did, and gave me some great insight into the texture of my hair and simple ways to make the most of it. When all was said and done, there was no pressure to purchase any product (though I bought the R+Co mousse he used in my hair because it was fantastic).
The whole appointment was easy, streamlined (yet still personal), and stress free. I really appreciated the ease of the experience (and perfect haircut, obviously)… I’ll definitely be back.

Okay, I’m about to break it down for you guys.
Before I go anywhere or before I try any place out, I do my research, I like to check reviews, location and all of that good stuff. I found this place because I was looking for a specific product, and they carried it! They so happen to be the ONLY place that carries it within a good 50 miles around me. I also don’t have a place I regularly go to, to get my hair done. So when I saw this place I it was yes because it seemed super cool, yes because they had the products I was interested in purchasing, and any place that has the products I use is a automatic cool points place so I defs needed to check it out.
SO, first off the salon itself. where do I begin! I love it. I love the laid back vibe it gives, and I love the people there. Upon walking in (this isn’t my first visit, I’ve visited before to purchase products– more on that later). The salon has a very simple vibe. It’s not over crowded which is nice. Yes it’s small but idk I think that adds to it. Plus I love supporting local businesses, it defs makes the experience more personal, and I feel like the stylists care more about each individual person and their needs. So next, I was greeted and within minutes immediately was seated for a quick consult with Eugene, before we got started. The stylists all offered me water and coffee which I thought was a nice touch.
I had read reviews about Eugene and it was nothing but great things with him! So I was confident going in that he would take care of my hair. I explained everything I wanted/​my concerns and he definitely listened and worked with what I wanted whilst still doing his magic! Another thing about other salons I’ve been to is that I noticed that awkwardness I get between the stylists and their «clients». I feel like the silence is weird and I just don’t feel comfortable during the experience. Well, that was not the case here! I felt like everyone was genuinely invested in all their clients. Eugene was sooo nice and friendly and when we spoke he just made me feel super comfortable, no awkwardness at all.
Next comes the products they use/​sell. They products they have are simply THE BEST. R+Co and Oribe, two products I have been loving, are both brands they sell which are very hard to find anywhere else really. They’re a bit on the pricey end, but hey, you pay for quality results. They also carry other brands but I have yet to check those out.
BUT OVERALL, I thought the experience was AMAZING. I’ll definitely be back. And I do recommend going to Eugene, he really knows exactly what he’s doing, and he will definitely take care of you and your hair!

I go to Brian and I love the way he cuts and colors! He knows what I can and can’t pull off. Very honest and I leave feeling glamorous. Love it.

Eugene is the best! He really listens to exactly what it is you want, and then delivers. I have been let down by hair stylists quite a few times in the past few years, and now that I’ve found Eugene, no one else is touching my hair. And the salon is very modern yet still relaxing; it has a very nice atmosphere.

little modern trendy salon in riverside. my hairdresser is Vena. she’s awesome! very friendly but most of all she KNOWS hair! she does hair for models and professional photoshoots so of course she has to be fabulous. she’s a busy woman so make sure you book in advance. I got a cut and color for 160 $. not cheap, but not the most expensive. she’s worth the $$!

the salon is very nice inside and modern and fun. Vena cut my hair and understood my type and texture of my hair and i really liked my hair cut. Highly recommend her. definelty plan to go again.

I can’t stress enough how much I love Vena. I’ve followed her to three different salons, no matter how far they are away from me, because, well… she’s the best. I started going to Vena when my hair was to my chin — short! She taught me how to care for my hair & how to keep it healthy so that it would grow. She is constantly doing her research, always one step ahead of the game. I have never once had a bad cut from Vena — she knows what she’s doing! She is a hair genius & is awesome with colors. My recent hair is a «white girl» hair style — light on the ends with random highlights. Beautiful.
I always leave Vena’s chair feeling like my hairstyle is one of a kind & was created specifically for me.

Where do I begin with Vena? She truly lives up to the hype.
If you follow my reviews (I’m sure you check them every morning) you will know that I am faithful to only one hair stylist. No matter what salon she moves to, I follow.

What I love about Vena is that she has her own sense of style, but will always know how to make it «you.» She’s knowledgeable about all types of hair and knows the best way to grow out your locks so that they’re long and luscious.
I recommend her to ALL my friends and no one has been disappointed yet!
Someone dubbed her as the «Hair Whisperer» and I must agree.
I live in NYC now so unfortunately I have to get my hair done when I fly back to Cali.
So all you lazy LA people, get your @sses to Riverside and visit Vena!
