My husband bought two cars from there. The second one had some issues. An older gentleman told him to take it back and they would make it right. He went in today and he was extremely satisfied with the customer service. They fixed the issue with no questions asked. We will definitely be back to purchase our son’s car for his 7th birthday gift.

I go to see if they have the sense sound module for my sons electric RC car. The guy said I don’t know what that is, and I explained what it does and how it works making an electric RC sound like an off road truck or race car. The guy then said I don’t know what that is but we have traxxas trucks in stock. Very typical response from this store, they never have clue what something is or what extra part are available. I would recommend shopping at the Lake Forest or Fountain Valley Hobby People, they actually know what they are doing. The sense link is below to check out.

Got a $ 79.99RC helicopter here on a Sunday. I took it home and flew it inside my house and it flew like crap. Unresponsive to the controls and the battery lasted about 5min after and hour long charge. Thursday(4 days later) I take it back with my original receipt to get a refund. The girl behind the counter tells me first«uh did you fly it?» with some annoyance and attitude and then followed up with«we don’t take these back but you can come back tommorow and talk to the manager» as she held up the receipt with the return policy. The return policy says I have 30 days and need to have original packaging and receipt. I did. So I come back 2 days later, I have a life and can’t dedicate it to this stupid copter. A couple of young guys are behind the counter and I explain the problems to them and how I was told to come back and see the manager. First I’m told that the girl I spoke with previously WAS the manager and then I am told I «crashed» the helicopter and I could not get a refund. ITFLEWFOR5MINUTESINSIDEMYHOUSEHOWCOULDITHAVECRASHEDTHETHINGBARELYFLEW! The one silver lining is I showed them I was overcharged and did get my $ 10 back after giving my address, phone number and signed my first born child over to them. I will never shop here again. Zero customer service skills and they do not stand behind their products. I can see if people are trying to rip them off and products come back wrecked and trashed but this thing was brand new and it was obvious. So disappointing.

Got a quadracopter for Xmas cost my wife $ 500. Wouldn’t fly took it back for service and found complete indifference to my plight. They finally took the copter and agreed it was defective. Sent it for service over three weeks later I went back to the store to demand my money back. Guess what? There’s my copter with a $ 40 repair bill AND the battery missing. So how do these guys get 5 stars? A guy from another store named Bryan! Not only did he waive the repair costs but replaced the missing battery AND taught me how to calibrate the copter on a computer. THEN he took me outside and demonstrated how to fly the chopper! Wow did Bryan change my mind. Went from demanding my money back to «Customer-For-Life». EVERY business screws-up sometimes. It’s how you recover that counts!

My husband and I went to Hobby People today to find a part for his RC car. We were helped by an older white gentleman with glasses, and the customer service and level of disrespect he showed us was completely unacceptable. We showed him the part we needed and he handed us a book and told us to find the part number, then he walked away and started helping other customers. We finally found the part number, but the sales associate never came back to help us. We waited at the counter for a few minutes and then another associate asked us if we had been helped. We pointed at the older gentleman and said he was helping us, so the other associate walked over to him to see what was going on. The older gentleman then said, and I quote, «They are looking for some part, and I honestly do not care». He said this loud enough for us, and every other customer in the store to hear. My husband turned around and said«excuse me?» and the associate repeated«I’ve been here too long, and I don’t care about the part you need». We were in the store for maybe 5 minutes, and we were not being difficult or demanding by any means –we simply needed help finding a part. Isn’t that why you go to a hobby store? Needless to say, we left the store. When we got in the car, my husband said to me «maybe it was because I’m black, did you see how friendly and helpful he was with all of the white customers?». Hobby People, do you think racial discrimination in a place of business(or anywhere for that matter) is acceptable? If not, maybe you should be more careful of the people you hire, as they represent your brand and your company. We will not be back to this store, and neither will any of our friends. If I could give you a 0 rating, I would.

What the hell? No hours to be found online and I get here at 6 and it’s closed. Are u guys that slow you need to close early? Well from last time service was dumb and people walked around like they were trying to dodge you. I don’t know if I’ll be back I just drive from rancho cucamunga for nothing. Oh and nobody knows about product so it seems maybe find people that know about the latest rc products

Every time I go in I get great help! On the RC side of the floor everyone has great insight. If the person you are dealing with does not know I’m sure there is someone there that will. I’ve basically talked to everyone in the store. They’ll all very helpful and knowledgable. I can honestly say they will not do the work for you but will give you a guide to getting it complete it’s busy at times give them a min and they will be right with you. I’ve Brent there every weekend and get better knowledge with it every time I go! So if you are looking for insight and people that know what they are talking about this store is the place to go!!!
