I’ve been here many times, largely because my two boys enjoy it. Frankly, I expect some sort of digestive problem to develop whenever we go, and probably about half that time that’s what happens. It’s the typical Chicago-area Chinese buffet place. Not very good quality, but plenty of quantity. There are a few dishes that they have regularly that are passable, but often there are items that plain scare me. The bathrooms are nasty. I’d give one star if my two sons didn’t like it so much — I’m sure they’ll grow out of it :)

This was the first one of those«Super Buffets»(at least as far as Chinese food goes) ever in the area and located on that strip portion of the North Riverside Mall(by Dominicks and Gamestop). Being the first doesn’t make it good or bad. It’s okay if you’re shopping around here and hungry, near here and hungry, etc. Nothing to go out of the way for. There is also now the Emperor’s Buffet where Garfield’s used to be inside the North Riverside Mall. Really they are similar with minor differences. I will say though, there used to be a really mean guy who ran it, but I haven’t seen him in a while. But I only go for lunch, he may be there at night still.
