Beautiful stuff… but I don’t get the feeling she really wants to sell anything. Full of stories about the stuff she supposedly has ALREADY sold… at supposedly outrageous prices that I can’t imagine anyone paying. And I do not say this as a neophyte. I’m well versed in most aspects of this business — though there’s always room to learn. But not only were the prices way off, the dating was laughable.
We don’t mind paying fair (and even high, by many people’s standards) prices for what we want. We inquired about a top hat up on a shelf — my husband looked at it and knew it wasn’t that old, but still a nice hat that we had a use for — and she went on & on about how OLD it was and named some absurdly high price for it. I mean — a high price even if it WAS authentically as old as she said — which it was not.
I can’t imagine very many people actually are ALLOWED to buy stuff here!
I can only guess that she either married rich or inherited enough money to allow her this as a «hobby» — because she either doesn’t’ know what she’s doing AT ALL, or she’s willfully trying to gouge people who she thinks don’t know better. Crazy experience.

I had the worst expirience here ever. The owner is so rude and unproffesional. I was looking for props for a set and after asking the price of a couple items I was holding a hat and she yelled at me «where did you get that?! I need to get that off of you right now, where did you find it?» I replied «um… on the floor» I walked by her and said «lets go» to my daughter, «we are clearly unwelcome here.» She then said «if you are going to have an attitude you can leave I don’t need your buisiness.» I couldn’t believe it. What a way to run a buisiness. I will not be going back and will make it a point to tell everyone I know about my expirience there so they are sure not to get the same treatment.

The best antique shop in Riverside. Ann is knowledgeable and helpful, she treats her customers like guests. The best thing of all is that her store is filled with incredible items at great prices.
