Ameristar Windows

I live in the San Bernardino mountain community of Lake Arrowhead. My 1950s cabin still had original windows which allowed heat and dirt to enter and I heard every acorn that fell from the trees. Ameristar Windows replaced 17 odd sized large windows and four sliding doors. From start to finish Ameristar Windows provided excellent service and superior windows. I would recommend Ameristar Windows to anyone wanting replacement windows in Southern California. I recommend touring their factory in Riverside to understand how glass is made and the superior product they make on site. I purchased the 366 sound double pane windows. No noise comes through and with this particular window you have all the natural light without the heat. I have a complete wall of windows and my cabin is 10 degrees cooler after installation. Two neighbors are already going to use Ameristar to replace their windows in the Spring. I always proceed with caution when hiring contractors and was extremely pleased with the owner and his professional crew. Thank you!

Here’s a project that has been on the back burner for quite some time. Awarding a reputable window contractor a decent size project consisting of 23 windows and 1 patio door slider. I actually lost track of how many companies did estimates and how many didn’t bother to show up nor call to cancel. A few things that I take into consideration would be like length of business years, length of employment for employee’s, does the so called window contractor sub out projects to self employed individuals, workers comp and everything else the state of California requires. I don’t rely on BBB for complaints. You have to remember, for the duration of project, your home is physically invaded by strangers and that was probably my biggest fear of not knowing who is entering my home and reason why I hesitated to award anyone this project. A key deciding factor was discovering that a Unilocal social media friend hired Ameristar Windows to do her home with same needs we needed. Energy efficient windows to help lower utility bills and bring home up to date with technology. The initial phone call was easy and met with a sales rep who took the time to explain our options, features and costs. All windows and glass are manufactured in Riverside, Ca. Your window and glass are made to order and installed by long term employees that have worked in all facets of manufacturing and window installation. You’re not getting hired help off the street for that particular day and that was A+. A company that keeps employee’s happy and given the opportunity to advance.
A few days afterward Mike the owner arrived to measure and discussed further details about lead times and scheduling. He assured me my complete order would arrive in 10 working days.
Scheduling department called me one week after to set date and the night before to arriving, confirmed once again. All we did was move back any furniture a few feet and they took care of everything else.
I wasn’t here when removal began but the 6 mam team «the calvary» immediately went to work upstairs and methodically removed glass and frames without any breakage. They also protected our furniture and protected our finish flooring. Soon enough the entire home had all exposed openings with new product ready to install.
I am very satisfied with overall performance Ameristar produced. Employee”s showed superior workmanship, kept voices to a minimum, maintained trash and debris contained, food wrappers and drinks out of sight, safe operation of tools and equipment, they brought various large trashcans, dust pans, shop vscuums, re-​attached our window blinds and not one work truck left a puddle of oil. It’s past 6PM on a Friday and they are 90% complete with Mike who showed up to help speed up the remainder.
Definitely a ten hour project at Casa G for 6 men plus the owner with hands on.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ameristar Window to do your next home improvement.

After we moved into our new house, one of the things I wanted to do was replace all the windows. The windows our house came with had thin black trim and the glass itself was really thin. So on a hot day, the windows were hot to the touch. Also, you could still hear street noise and our neighbor’s dog barking if the windows were closed.
Anyway, the thing my husband and I liked about Ameristar Windows is that they are the ones who not only install the windows, but MAKE them as well and they are warranted for life. We called them during the week, Mike was at our house on a Friday and the window installations were done the following weekend.
These windows are so awesome. They keep the heat/​cold and sound out, they look nice, they are easy to open and close, they have self-​locks, and they have aluminum reinforcements to provide strength and durability.
On Saturday, we had a crew of 4 arrive around 9:00AM. Later on, 3 more people arrived. They replaced 24 windows and also a sliding door that leads to our background. They were done at about 6:30PM. After the new windows were installed, they also vacuumed inside the house and swept outside since they had to cut the windows frames.
Every window now opens and closes except for two by the front door which are for décor/​light only and they used glass with a beautiful frosted design (which we picked out) for privacy. They also used the frosted glass for the window over the bathtub in our master bathroom. So great since I don’t need to put any window treatments there now.
Anyway, so glad we decided to do this and I’m very happy with the results. Please see photos that I posted for some «Before» and «After» shots.
