i recently had a roof done after receiving several estimates from different local contractors. i chose j.p. hunter due to their professionalism. mr. hunter himself came to my house initially and then several times after that to inspect the work. i don’t like to recommend anyone, but i have recommended j.p.hunter to neighbors and co-​workers which have resulted in three jobs. they have all been very happy with the work. they showed up on time and the jobs were done within the promised time frame.
as far as i am concerned they have done an excellent job for me and my neighbors and co-​workers.

JOB NEVER COMPLETED!!! Very disappointing. J. P. Hunter wrote out a «paid in full» receipt specifying removal and disposal of the entire roof of our summer home, with installation of a new roof. However, 2 ½ years later, a leak started. The insurance adjuster came out and discovered that the portion of the roof not visible from the yard or street was completely untouched, still covered with the original old broken roof tiles. After numerous attempts to contact J. P. Hunter since past spring, we are still waiting for the job to be finished.
