Went in for a couple of quesadillas and waited over an hour, wait time for my order was 15 minutes. Then they gave me a bad attitude because I asked about my order. Bad service overall

I’m from California so I have high expectations for Mexican Restaurants. This is not a restaurant I would visit if I were still in Cali but considering there are far and few mexican restaurants where I live I must say this is my number 1 restaurant around here. I usually get the taquitos dorados de carne asada or res, the tortas de jamon, and the sopes — all very good and plentiful. A bit pricey but considering the lack of places selling similar goods around here it is well worth it. The food I am absolutely in love with are the flans and Aguas de horchata! Incredible and exactly what they should taste like!

Gross! Worst Mexican food I’ve ever had. Enchiladas tasted burnt and looked disgusting. My plate of tacos was covered in cilantro making it taste like tortillas and cilantro. I’m so disappointed. I’m pregnant and was craving Mexican and went here based off the Unilocal reviews. This is the first time I’ve been let down on Unilocal

Just had the most amazing tacos here last night. Carne asada was better than chicken but both were delicious! Tacos come with cilantro and onion but the Carne asada ones also came with spring onions and radishes. The menu has a ton of items so I’m looking forward to coming back and trying other dishes. They also have a wide selection of Jarritos which I love. If you like it spicy, be sure to ask for their salsitas because they’re life changing. Great service and our large to go order was ready super fast. So excited this is so close. Can’t wait to come back!

Want to try AUTHENTIC Mexican food? This is about as authentic(and tasty) as it gets here in Maryland. No slapping on melted cheese on the food here — the flavors of the meats and the vegetables and the sauces make that unnecessary. I also LOVE the scallions and radishes they provide as the garnish. When I often come here, I usually get three tacos of different varieties, and fill my self up for less than $ 10. There are about 10 or so different meat options! The tortas(sandwiches) are also good, and so is the Mole Chicken. I do need to break out of my rut and try some other items — there’s a lot to choose from! While the primary language spoken here is Spanish, and I speak Spanish myself, I think non-Spanish speakers are equally welcome. Ironically, I was some white gringo friends who introduced me to this place!

Food: I got chicken, beef and pork tacos. Each came with two tortillas, onions, and cilantro. Each had very distinct flavors and were hot and juicy! The plate came with different vegetable sides and a lime for each taco. We were also given a sauce set and there was regular hot sauce on the table. My friend got the chicken and queso quesadilla(redundant, eh?) I tried a bit and it was all right. I like variety, so I personally prefer getting tacos with different meats. They had a lot of different items on the menu — like soups and desserts. Wish I took a menu to go. Service: Not much to say, you order and pay at the cashier and the food is brought to you. One of the workers didn’t understand me when I asked for a fork, but the other workers were able to take care of that. Setting: The restaurant from the outside is brightly painted and the interior is decorated with bright furniture, murals and objects. There was a huge tv showing a soccer game and it was pretty loud, but we didn’t mind it because it seemed to fit the festive theme. Pretty good food and great portion for the price!

This is about as authentic as I’m going to get north of the Rio Grande. How authentic was it? I was probably the only person in the place that spoke English. Even the gal at the counter knew about five words and I used up most with«chicken» and«three». Yep, I had three tacos at the Taqueria Tres Reyes. I figure that if that’s what they’re going to call themselves then that’s what I’m going to have. One chicken, one beef and one pork. All were quite tasty with plenty of meat on each one and with a lime for each one, too! You’ll be able to see them in the picture I posted. I was also brought the hot sauces. Yep, they were hot. I didn’t even try. Cholula is about the most I can handle on a good day. They also have Mexican sodas here. I chose an Orange Fanta, which has tons of chemicals in it but no high fructose corn syrup. It’s all cane sugar in Mexico!

I’m a real fan of authentic mexican food so when I found this place, I was excited to see what they had to offer. Maybe my expectations were too high or maybe my meal wasn’t the best(I had 3 tacos-chicken, steak and al pastor), the chicken taco was ok, the other 2 weren’t. The juices are ok. Also, The atmosphere can be a tad overwhelming, it’s a very loud place.

I was in the mood for tacos but should have known as soon as I walked in to turn around. There was a weird smell in the restaurant that just turned me off but after reading the reviews on Unilocal I decided to risk it and try them out. I had the tongue tacos and the carne asada tacos. The tongue tacos were decent up until the moment I was chewing on a big chunk of fat! Gross. Had to spit it out immediately. The carne asada tacos did not taste like carne asada. It was bland and the texture was weird. The onion and cilantro along with the lime were not fresh at all. If you were blindfolded you probably would not have noticed the tacos were topped with them. Not going back. I’d rather drive all the way to Gaithersburg to Taco Bar to get my taco fix.

This place is most definitely in a bad neighborhood. But the tacos are amazingly good and authentic. The tacos are humongous! If you like authentic tacos that are real Mexican with onion, cilantro and meat with 2 corn tortillas, this is it.

I tried this place at the recommendation of a friend. It is nearby my company, and I stopped by for some lunch. I ordered the Tacos Dorados(barbacoa = goat!). It came with 4 tacos, lettuce, cheese, beans and rice. It also came with a salsa verde. I did not get the chance to enjoy them piping hot but still felt they had great flavor and a good taco shell. The salsa was spicy, not incredibly hot, not ultra boring, it was in the middle and brought a good heat to the meal. I got the goat because I have not had goat in the U.S. and thought, «Why not?» I thought the goat was good, and will go with barbacoa with the other items I order in the future. Overall it was a good meal, but I thought it was a little pricey at $ 10. And I will go back to try other items. If you plan to get it to go, call ahead. The wait could be a little long.

Nothing bad to say about this place. This was my first visit here. There were other mexican restauarants in the nearby area as well. I had the three taco combo(2 carne asada and one chorizo) and was not disappointed. The side salsa is spicy and flavorful. The guacamole is more like a guacamole salsa type deal but wasnt bad either. I’d recommend this place if you’re in the are and want a bite to eat. Tell them Keef sent you! They don’t know me but it’ll make me feel important.

Ehh. Had better. I had 3 chicken tacos. The chicken was like shredded chicken with a orange Goya seasoning. The ratio of chicken to the rest of the taco was excessive… by a lot. Hardly tasted onion or cilantro. They did not have pico de gallo and the taco was dripping watery seasoning the whole time… yucky. It was just a soft taco with shredded chicken inside… uh. really? Ewww. The drink choices were also very limited and the place felt really cramped, too noisy. Also, when they served the salsa I think they reuse their open top salsa container… they just refill it? ehhh. Not my thing. Yucky. Not going back.

The best American Mexican food I have had on the east coast(Cali still has my stomach and heart). The carne asada quesadilla and tacos were amazing. The carne asada quesadilla is monstrous(see pic) — it is literally a foot long. BUT most importantly, it was very tasty. The tacos are also loaded with flavorful meat and I loved the fact that they are generous garnished with cilantro and onions. Value = Amazing. The price for two tacos and a carne asada quesadilla: $ 10.50!

FINALLY! A Mexican restaurant that makes me feel like I’m back in my hometown of San Diego. I live and work in Northern Virginia, but a few weeks ago ventured out to MD for business reasons. Not knowing where to have lunch, I went to my trusty friend Unilocal for suggestions… And once again, Unilocal helped me find a gem. Their menu offers a wide selection of items; I had three tacos on my first visit(beef, pork and chicken) and they did not disappoint. The tortillas were much like the freshly made tortillas I’ve had in SD(not like anything you can find in a store) and the pork and beef were very tasty! Chicken was only so-so, which was fine because the two tacos I had had a ton of meat and were really are filling. I loved the tacos so much, I brought my husband to Taqueria Tres Reyes later that week. That time around I had the carne asada tacos with a side of rice — best rice ever! I can’t wait to go back and try the posole(seemed to be the popular choice — in addition to the tacos, that second time around). This place is the real deal. Come here and you won’t be disappointed.

Queue the stereo typical images and sounds in your mind before you start reading my entire review… OK now that is prepared… start by imagining the best mexican food you’ve EVER had and think of it as TACOBELL at best… because Tres Reyes WILL be the Best after you have tried this place!!! Charity and I went in and had 4 taco’s and a bowl of seafood soup… it’s a bowl of soup made for Paul Bunyan and two of his buddies after a full days work?! The Tacos are what dreams are made of and worth the trip alone but the soup?! There was a pile of seafood swimming in salty, peppery tomatoy broth that made you NOT able to put down your spoon! The parking lot is not the easiest to navigate to come prepared but the place is beyond worth the trip…
