Oh so apparently any brick building with a stove/fryer can be called a restaurant, and anybody with a car can deliver it. I personally prefer zhengs, but these guys deliver. Recently I’ve been getting my subpar chinese from Top Taste though, because zhengs don’t deliver. It’s like anywhere I go in this area I can say I’ve had better, but House of chinas food is on some other s**t. I also hate how the drivers call ahead before they’re even outside your house so that they don’t have to wait. I mean atleast be outside the residence. Its not like I don’t know that my foods gonna suck, the delivery has to be a d-ck as well? I would do pick up, but the location is shady as hell, and I don’t feel like being asked for change by the guys standing outside the laundry mat. See yall next time we have a snow storm though!

This is truly a Chinese takeout-only joint(you won’t find any tables or chairs here), so plan to order ahead. The lunch specials are $ 5.99 and come with either a can of soda or an egg roll. The place doesn’t exactly give off the vibe that cleanliness is a top priority, and the graffiti near the entrance may have you question the safety of the neighborhood(it’s in a sketchy strip mall). Anyhow, the food is decent and affordable. I asked that my General Tso’s lunch special be made extra spicy, but it wasn’t spicy at all, so my request wasn’t honored. Don’t expect a memorable experience, just average Chinese takeout.

First time customer. I ordered delivery for my wife and myself. The woman taking order was friendly and efficient. Said the food would arrive in 30 minutes. I hung up and turned on the front porch light. About 20 minutes later our phone rang. I assumed it was the delivery person because our house can be tricky to find. I answered the phone to hear«Open door». «Excuse me?» I replied. «Chinese food. Out front. Open door.» «Uh, OK.» Charming guy. Despite his lack of social skills, the food arrived fast and hot. I got Kung Pao Chicken, wife got Kung Pao Shrimp(we didn’t have an official menu, and they don’t have a website I could find). The flavor was very good, with fresh ingredients, and nice chunks of vegetables that weren’t overcooked. Also, there was a reasonable amount of spiciness without overwhelming the flavor. It would have been nice to have a *little* more meat in both dishes, but still we were happy. We look forward to trying them out again, and maybe checking out the restaurant itself.
