I have been taking swimming lessons w/Jeff Kreiger from Strategies to Overcome Aquatic Phobia. If you have an actual fear of the deep water, water over your head, etc then this is the class for you. Jeff is the most patient, caring and knowledgeable aquatic instructor I have EVER met. And trust me this is not my first rodeo. He works w/the actual fear and works through it almost like therapy. I took a lot for me to understand that the reason I could not learn to swim in the past is because past instructor could not hep me break through the barrier of my fear while Jeff works primarily with my fear. I have earned about my aquatic IQ and although I can now swim(YES, I said wrote I learned how to swim… that man is like Superman of the Aquatic world.) working through my fear is still a work in progress. I enjoy every single session with Jeff and when the time comes(far in the future) my children will learn how to swim from Jeff. The pool(Whitehall Location) is a a very BIG lap pool. with about 6 lanes beginning from 3ft to 9ft. The most pack its been during the summer on a Saturday is bout 10 people and that include kids. The pool has always been very clean and so is the dressing room.

My 3 year old son recently started taking swimming and what an amazing experience it has been. We even added a second class. Classes are affordable and small, 4 kids total in his class. The instructor Melissa is sooo very patient with my 3 year old who sometimes does not listen to me or her. Nothing new for a 3 year old, I know. On the days he fussed and had a meltdown she just took charge, sang to him, relaxed him and he just didnt want to leave. The pool at the Hebrew Home is the perfect size for these little people and only 3 feet tall. Only drawback at the Hebrew home location is sometimes there is a long line at guard gate and parking can be scarce but this is absolutely no reflection on the swimming lessons.
