Was craving steak tacos and have driven by a few times being new to the area so I finally decided to try it out. I walked in and wasn’t sure where to place a take out order-cashier on one side, but counter on the other side. The waitress gave me 1 minute to look at the menu before asking to take my order but she didn’t write it down. I ordered 2 carne asada tacos with cilantro and lime only and a side of rice to go. For $ 10 I was disappointed when I reached home and my order was incorrect. Nonetheless for the cost I would have expected good meat, however it was fatty, bland, and lukewarm. The waitress could be friendlier also. I will not be returning.

La Majada used to be my favorite place in town. Excellent food, friendly service, cozy atmosphere. Apparently they got new management and changed all of those wonderful things. Our waitress was rude and rolled her eyes at me after messing up my order(she didn’t write it down; whose fault is that?). She barely gave my table the time of day after that, and when she did, it was either without eye contact or with an eye roll. Nice. Never coming back here.

Authentic Mexican favors. Great for vegetarians. Friendly service, nice atmosphere. I will definitely come back. Read the other reviews and not sure what it was like before the grand reopening but great as it is now. Clean and charming place, fresh flavored food.

The restaurant reopened February 22nd. We ate there yesterday & it is now called Mi Restaurante Majada. The waitress said they closed for awhile for kitchen work and there is now a new chef with some new menu items. However, from what I saw, the menu was basically same & the prices the same. I’m glad they reopened!

Delightful authentic Mexican food at a good price point. Fresh food well presented with excellent service on a lovely patio. I highly recommend.

My husband and I really enjoyed la Majada express. It was a nice day when we went and were able to sit outside. Our waiter was very friendly. We ordered margaritas and they were great; not too sweet and not too shy on tequila. Salsa and chips were fresh and good. We ordered tacos for our meal and they were so good. We’d recommend the flour tortilla shells over the corn. Although both are good, the corn seemed to overpower the flavor. The steak in our tacos was tender and flavorful. Overall great experience.

The food was overpriced wasn’t bad the salsa looked like it was bad but tasted ok but appeared to be fermenting. service was ok… the people are sweet but the portions are small the margaritas are great but small and overpriced. Never Have I paid 7 dollars and 95 cents for a strawberry margarita that was so small. one star at best… inside is cramped… only unisex bathroom and only one.

Been here twice and that is two times too many. Really bad on all aspects of their food. Lives so close and I drive to Taco Bell over this place.

Outstanding carne asada tacos! Also rave review for the chicken enchilada verdes. Can’t wait to return. Very friendly and attentive owner and staff. Who could ask for anything more

When I got inside the place was a tight and a not really wheel chair accessible. I ordered a fajita and it came our lukewarm and over a large metal contraption with a flame underneath. I waited a good amount of time until the food in the center was hot and it tasted decent. I then was told to blow out my flame because the metal was burning. I was happy the flame was put out because I was scared of being lit on fire but my food sadly wasn’t heated to a good temperature yet. So I shrugged cause food is food and ate it as if it felt I was eating out of a large Tupperware container that is elevated 10 inches of the table. Overall I am very unsatisfied.

I love mexican and this was the first and only time I will go to this place. My family and I came here since it was close to home, and the service was bad as well as the food was just ok. It was bland and I paid 32 bux for two burritos and a quesadilla and rice with two drinks! Seriously/??? The waitress was terrible at explaining prices, and i specifically asked for a meal and she came back with a burrito and it was ten bux just for that! This place is overpriced and I could’ve went to taco burrito king or pepes for less money and more food and much better service.

Walked in on a whim. Food was great, service was attentive, and the size of the glass if sangria was perfect. I would recommend the crane asada and the stuffed peppers any day.

I just ordered from this place for the fifth and final time. Not once have they managed to get my order right. I don’t know how hard it is to fulfill a taco dinner, 3 steak tacos, on flour, only cheese. An extra side of beans. I repeated the order 3 times over the phone for a pick-up. In fact, I actually simplified the the order from previous times, and yet, they still got it wrong. This time I ordered a dinner, and got three tacos, a side of beans, and a coke… FOR13DOLLARS! No, I’m not kidding. This place is four blocks from my place and I traded convenience for quality. Lesson learned.

The guacamole was below average. The chips were average. The salsa was good. They have parking and outdoor seating. We sat inside. It is small but I think enough space. The service is average. They had a couple of televisions too for some reason.

Horchata was really good, burrito dinner was awesome. We went in for horchata and ordered take-out, which took 25 minutes, which was blah… but the food was really good. I think the food at La Majada(original) is a bit more exciting, and the bar at the original is definitely awesome(see my review of it) but definitely good traditional mexican food. And as always the staff and owners are really nice and attentive :-)

Two coworkers and I ordered takeout. I have the chorizo taco dinner… it was ok. Chorizo was good, beans were fine but the rice had ZERO flavor. I added some salsa to help… not so much, unbelievably bland. The chips were bland as well and slightly on the stale side(I think it’s just too humid). One coworker had the beef taquitos; she said they were ok but the beef had no flavor. The other coworker had a chicken Mexican pizza, which she said was great. You can tell that everything is fresh, which I love, but it they have got to add seasoning. I am willing to go back to give it another shot and see how it goes.

Got carry-out here late on a Tuesday night. Ordered a variety of individual tacos(asada, pollo, al pastor, shrimp, and pescado) and all were very good. Tacos were in homemade tortillas which tasted tender and fresh, and the order came a generous side of pico de gallo salsa. It came up quickly and was just a really nice execution of the basics. The al pastor is particularly good; the marinated pork is well seasoned and there are lovely chunks of cooked pineapple throughout. Great if you’re a sweet/savory person like me.

We had take out from this place for lunch. We ordered the guacamole appetizer which is pretty much guacamole with chips and asked for a side of salsa. This was pretty good. Probably very unhealthy, but tasty. The guacamole tastes like other guacs I’ve had at other Mexican restaurants. We also ordered 2 pastor tacos, 1 fish taco, and 2 steak tacos. The pastor taco is my favorite! The pork is so delish and moist. The fish taco was good, too, except it was very breaded. All three tacos came with 2 corn tortilla shells. Have just enough toppings like lettuce, tomato, and cheese(thank goodness not too cheesy!). Overall food was delicious and I was stuffed for many hours… It’s a mom and pop store, so give them a visit when youre in town!

Oh how I wanted to like this place. I was so excited about what I was about to eat. As I was waiting for my take-out order I was talking to the server who boasted about how fresh their food is. Apparently other Mexican restaurants, especially taquerias, boil all of their meat so it’s ready for a quick run on the grill when you order. Well, La Majada doesnt do that. Well then, why, does it not taste oh so terrific? The guac was wonderful and they even served it in a little fried tortilla bowl. Impressive for takeout. My tacos just didnt wow me. I did see some other menu items that I will go back and try. I’d love to go there on a sunny Spring day and sit out on the patio. SO I will wait for said sunny day and report back!
