This place is exactly what you expect a small cigar shop to be like, you have your old Vietnam War vet, your Real Estate broker, your Wall Street buff, your typical retirees and the Cuban owner. You walk into this shop at anytime of the day and they are shooting the shit, talking about this politician and that one. current events are always a topic with everyone having a different opinion. The insults flow like its Highschool again. The owners knowledge is plentiful and he is always willing to help someone who doesn’t know exactly what they are looking for. They have water pop coffee and every accessory you can imagine. 5-stars doesn’t so this shop justice.

I’ve been here several times and I’m a fan. I’m not a cigar smoker but when I got married my husband wanted to give a unique gift to all the groomsmen. The staff there was so nice and very helpful. I’ve been back several times and bought a few items and will definitely come back.

First off, I’m not a smoker. One of my relatives is a cigar afficiando, though. So, when it comes time to get gifts for him, this is typically the place I hit. Good selection, walk-in humidor, plenty of stuff available on display. You buy by the box, you get a discount. At least I did. Because I’m awesome. Or maybe I was lucky and it’s just how they do business. Anyhow, the proprietor is quite friendly. I know next to nothing about cigars, except what my relatives like in terms of flavor and brand. The owner is still able to show me at least 3 – 4 selections. Good ambience, reasonable prices, great service. Easily worth a visit if you enjoy cigars or know someone who does.

Cigar Oasis reminds me of Tony Soprano’s back room at the Bada Bing. It’s small, Cozy and full of Cigar smoke. If you built a Cigar room in your house, the layout of Cigar Oasis is what you would want to use as a blueprint. The front of the store looks like a small town Barber shop. There are chairs, ashtrays and a front counter full of accessories. The shop was filled with guys shooting the shit and enjoying their Cigars. The Cigar Oasis has a real comfortable feel to it and the staff couldn’t have been nicer. The Humidor was filled with a wide variety of the best kept secret in the Cigar business. Gurkha is quickly becoming recognized as one of the best new Cigar brands on the market. Gurkha’s are the talk of all my Cigar smoking friends. The only one that I could find so far is the Dragon. Cigar Oasis had the whole line in stock. I’m like a kid on Christmas eve. I can’t wait to smoke all the different varieties that bought at the C.O. A nice variety, a welcoming atmosphere and a accommodating staff makes Cigar Oasis a welcome addition to my Chicago land Cigar buying tour. It’s worth the trip for the Gurkha’s alone.

Unpretentious. Knowledgeable. I enjoy coming here simply because you will hear the typical mancave conversation and arguments– who’s got the best hot dog in the area/best cleavage/why the Bulls may win it all etc.
