A few weeks ago was my first visit back to Bo’s n Mine in a couple of years. It was my go-to place back in college at UWRF. It hasn’t changed a ton, but the food was good. Definitely a good place to eat if you’re in River Falls!

Business is under new management. Since the transition and since the waiting staff has vastly improved over the last couple years I believe that the restaurant deserves a better review. The food is good and fair priced and the waiting staff is very attentive and cares about their customers.

We just left Bo’s N’ Mine after experiencing one of the most humiliating and degrading experiences of my life. We were verbally(and nearly physically) assaulted by an employee named«Joe». We walked in with two empty plastic Solo cups and, while looking for a trash can to throw them out, he confronted us in the most unprofessional and obnoxious manner imaginable. He was inches away from my face and he truly scared both of us. We have been here many times and have always enjoyed the place and employees but«Joe», sadly, has changed our entire perspective. Before walking in, we looked for a trash can by the entrance to throw out the cups yet there is not one — Please see the attached pictures of the entrance. Bottom line — If you want to be humiliated and treated like dirt, please make sure to go while«Joe» is working and he’ll do his best to ruin your night. It’s a shame that one awful person can tarnish the reputation of place and the other employees that make you feel welcome and provide an enjoyable night.

Ugh. Used to work here — horrible owners. Typical crappy bar food and bar service from RF.

First trip to River Falls, and without the Hammer. All day I was escorting famous author Homer Hickam and Chapter 2 owner, Sue Roegge to local bookstores in the TC, and the last stop was an engagement at the RF Library. Actually Lorraine N. mentioned this place in passing. Naturally I was telling my guests that this will be our last stop. If it hadn’t been so late at night I would have contacted John O. so I wasn’t exactly cheating on him. Matter of fact I ordered the roast beef sandwich he mentioned in his review. He understated this. It was tender, but what cinched it was the au jus. I ended up drinking what was left over. I got cheese curds, we all got cheese curds and liked them just fine. Our guest was from Huntsville, AL, so we insisted he try something local. We had a nice server too. When I met up with John last night at the elite event, he was very happy I went, and knows that next time it will be with him, and probably Lorraine. River Falls is pitch black on the highway on the way back, so I introduced our guest to Darkness Radio and a nice spooky ride home, something had to keep me awake.

Meh. For a college bar, the prices are ridiculous. Two of us guys ordered burgers with fries and a beer. $ 32. Really? Sixteen dollars each for a burger and a beer? Their Friday fish fry is horrible. The fish is dry and the breadcrumb batter sucks.

Have been there a couple times just to eat their Ruben and Bloody Mary. Both are so good. I haven’t tried any of their other foods yet. I see they just started doing a Bloody Mary with a meal on top. It’s suppose to include a couple of sliders, mini corn dogs, tater tots, and your usual Bloody Mary toppings. I think there are a few more to add but i can’t remember. It cost $ 25 I think. And only served on the weekends.

Stopped in for a beer one day very friendly staff and the prices are really good, they also must be doing something right as they are also the winner of the 2014 Best Business in River Falls given by the chamber of commerce in River Falls

My husband was in Bo’s this evening about 45 minutes ago. He ordered 2 appetizers and a side of fries. It took half an hour for his order, during which time he watched other people who came in after him get their food first. The server that helped him was nowhere to be found and someone even tried to hand him the wrong order. When she finally came back she had the order, which she set down on top of a to go bag and then walked away. Didn’t even bother to bag his food. When he asked for a manager, another server said she didn’t know who was managing or where they were. And when he called to complain, TWICE, no one answered. I work in a restaurant and this is ridiculous. My husband and I let a lot of things slide and we’re not that hard to please, but half an hour for an order, being ignored, and a staff that doesn’t even know who’s managing on top of no one answering the phone? We won’t be coming back again.

There was a viewing in the area so we decided to use our Metro dining card. This place has a sports bar atmosphere. We had the maple covered bacon cheese curds. Oh yeah, this is not offered all the time so we lucked out. The cheese curds were good– sweet salty and cheesy. There was the all-you-can-eat ribs for $ 10 which was the best I have tasted. My significant other had the Cajun grilled Pollock with green beans. Both dishes were really good and better than we both expected. Plus, we got $ 6 off our bill from Metro dining card. So, I would highly recommend this place.

Visited on a Tuesday evening for dinner. Wait staff was prompt and courteous. I had their«famous» roast beef sandwich and my wife a turkey wrap. Roast beef wrap was tasteless. Thay must use the cheapest roast beef ever sold. Usually there is some taste to the au jus sauce but even that was tasteless. Food was slow to arrive.

We saw the reviews and decided to go for a bloody Mary. 10am on Saturday. Open sign on, we walk in and sit at the bar. Workers were walking around, talking, having a great social time, no one even acknowledged we were there. No one behind the bar. We left after 5 min of being ignored and walked across the street to Mel’s where we were warmly welcomed.

Stopped in for a quick bite on a Sunday for lunch. Service was alright, though our server was quite awkward. Menu is very expected and the prices are average. My burger and fries didn’t wow me, but they were tasty nonetheless. Not sure id come here again to eat, but it seemed like a nice place to grab a beer and watch the game if you’re in RF.

The food and specials at this sport’s bar atmosphere are perfect for a night that is casual… The patron’s are laid back and the service was good with just a little room for improvement! All and all, A great local place

Stopped by on a recent trip down memory lane. Hubs and I attended UWRF years ago and used to stop in to Bo’s when we were tired of the food plan lifestyle. I have great memories of their steak sandwich and was a bit sad to see it was no longer on their menu. I opted for the buffalo chicken wrap. This was stuffed with filling and quite good. Unfortunately I do not recall what hubs had, but he was very pleased with his as well. Great beer selection, including River Falls own Rush River.

Bo’s is the nicest dive you will ever visit. The food is fantastic and comes from a corner grill in the front of the bar — it is almost an afterthought — yet churns out great food. The beer prices are classic RF — meaning a great value compared to Mpls and even Woodbury! On Saturday night, I had a patty melt and it was a fantastic. The fries are skin-on and fresh cut. The atmosphere? Didn’t I say it was the nicest dive? Need I say more?

The menu is rather typical of a bar & grill, but the food is consistently good. If you crave a good burger, this is definitely the best place to go in town. They have great lunch specials and their soups are delicious. Their all-you-can-eat rib special on Saturday nights is outstanding. And I love their Bloody Marys! Service has been consistently good, and you’re always thanked by the cooks on your way out. My only complaint is that I wish you could choose a healthier side to a sandwich(salad, fruit, etc.,) without paying an additional charge.

Small town Sconnie bar My local watering hole Where’d my money go? In the interest of full disclosure, I am slightly biased on this one. I have probably visited this dining and drinking establishment more than any other over the past five years. It is my Cheers, if you will. I also want to see all RF businesses do well. One thing you can never complain about at Bo’s is the drink prices. It is so much cheaper here than in the Cities. To this day, I am still always pleasantly surprised when I get the bill. For food, I recommend the Famous Roast Beef, the Turkey Burger or the Cuban Sandwich. Menu online describes the Cuban sandwich as on a hoagie bun. Last time I was there it was on pita bread and not as good. Bartender told me you can still get it on the hoagie bun if you request it that way. I would do so. Not South Florida good, but superb for the Midwest. If you are into NTN trivia, Bo’s is a serious contender nationally. Top 20’s are quite common, especially on Saturday afternoons.

It is a typical Wisconsin bar, they have shuffleboard which is a plus. Also they have a big patio which is nice in the summer. Not my favorite bar in RF but I always seem to go here whenever I’m in town.
