With that being said, this bar is awesome! I’ve been here twice now, once for a friends birthday a few years ago, and now more recent for another girls birthday. This place is wild. It will be empty at 10:30pm, but by 11pm its honestly packed. Security is tight when you first enter, they will scan your ID. There is usually a $ 10 cover, but do not fret, that money gets you a 1 way ticket to a very drunken night.
Drinks here are what every bar should be be, strong and cheap. You can get any mixed drink; gin, vodka, rum you name it and it will probably be $ 5. WHICH IS CHEAPER THAN BEERS AT MOST PLACES.
When you first walk in there is a cozy more relaxed area on the main floor with seating and a small bar, music is at a minimum. Upstairs they have a large square bar adjacent to the main dance floor. There is always a DJ spinning some music and the dance floor will be packed by 11:30pm. There will be a large mix of both men and women so do not think otherwise.
The bathrooms are small and kind of ehh, they are usually clean at least. Also you need to park across the street because they do not have a parking lot which is also another negative. Honestly not a deal breaker though. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. This place is a blast and you will have a wild night of drinking and dancing.

Came here for the hell of it on a Saturday after a (female) friend’s birthday dinner. I’m not gay, but I have no problem being around homosexuals. There’s a cover, it was $ 7 that night. Immediately upon entering, you’ll find yourself in a bar area, with some «lounge» seating off to the side. There are two bars and some stairs leading up to another bar and a larger dance floor.
Drinks are cheap as hell. My drinks from the downstairs bar all cost $ 5, for a beer, a shot, or a well drink. The upstairs bar cost $ 6 per well drink, but whatever. Music is mostly Top 40, but there are a good amount of people dancing.
The crowd is gay. I can’t think of another word for it. If you’re uncomfortable getting hit on by gay guys or seeing guys walking around in their underwear, don’t go to a gay bar.

Still love this place! Wednesday Night is the best! Cheap strong drinks! Cheap to get in. Great music. Renovated the place and its much nicer… But I miss the pole upstairs. They removed it :(

Great local spot. It’s not a city bar but if you want to stay more local and have a good time this is the place. Eddie and pauly are the best bartenders.

Went here for the first time the other night. One of the skaters on my roller derby team– Jerzey Derby Brigade– is marrying her girlfriend this weekend, so we kidnapped her and brought her here as a surprise. Cover was only $ 5, and the drinks were very reasonably priced. Mixed drinks didn’t skimp on the alcohol either, which is good because derby girls love a good drink. (they have red bull and plenty of other options for anyone who doesn’t drink) We spent most of our time dancing on the second floor. The DJ was very attentive to his audience and gave a shout-​out to our bachelorette! Everyone we met here was friendly and really helped us celebrate our teammate’s upcoming wedding. There was a good crowd for a Wednesday too. Really can’t wait to go back for another fun night out with the team.

Straight guys, I know what you’re thinking. «Why the hell would I go to a gay club?» Answer: nice atmosphere, great music, cheap drinks, and surprisingly enough, lots of cute straight girls.
Always empty before 11 or 12. Why most people decide not to get the most out of the $ 5 cover I’ll never understand. For whatever reason, this place only gets packed at the last hour or two.
Wednesdays are $ 2 drinks before 11, Thursdays are Latin nights. I just went last Thursday for the first time in over a year and was pleasantly surprised by all the renovations they did. Lookin good, Feathers! There was also a short drag/​comedy show which served as a hilarious icebreaker.
Drinks are strong and cheap! $ 3 on Thurs for well drinks, they’re small but don’t skimp on the alcohol. There’s several bars on each floor for your lushy convenience.
A club with no dress code? Yes that’s right boys, you can wear tank tops right along with the girls (or no shirt at all, if you so please. It does get hot and sweaty on the top floor.)
Always a great crowd! DJs play great music and do an awesome job of getting everybody pumped. Everyone is super friendly and fun, which makes Feathers a great place for making new friends.
Stop making assumptions! A trip to Feathers is a guaranteed to great time no matter where you fall on the Kinsey scale.

Great place but there’s some pros and cons. great place for girls night or anyone really.
Pros: good music, nice people, great show, cheap drinks, Cool go go boys, cheap cover fee, and funny drag queen. If you are a straight gal don’t worry you won’t get molested by man. :)
Cons: it is extremely suffocating after a while up there it gets so hot you can’t even breathe. I had to keep going away to catch my breath. You also have to go later, do not show up around 10 the place will be almost empty. One of the bartenders (old man) downstairs had Pretty nasty attitude so I just stood away from him.

This is my home away from home. I’ve been coming here for years and have felt nothing but welcomed and I have met amazing, unpretentious, and warm people here. The bartenders (Paul, especially) are sweet and professional. Great dancing upstairs. Cheap drinks. Wednesdays are the best but I’ve enjoyed the few Saturdays I’ve attended as well. This is a great bar and the best alternative to the NYC gay scene.

It isn’t hot place I like the shows and the people is nice cute guys have some fun for years now I just waiting for opportunity to try again after eight years hope soon

I went to Feathers on a Wednesday night with a group of my gay guy friends. I’m a straight girl, and I was the designated driver for the night, so I was sort of apprehensive about going, especially since I couldn’t get drunk to help ease myself into dancing… I was sober all night, and yet I had SUCH a good time.
There is a huge parking lot across the street with free parking. The downstairs has a bar, and there were some chairs where you could actually sit and talk to people and get to know them, which I thought was great, because a lot of clubs I have gone to do not give you that opportunity to rest or talk with someone you’re flirting with.
The upstairs is the dance floor. It’s kind of a narrow, scary staircase, but once you’re up there, it’s pretty amazing. The music was great, and the energy was off the chart. There were a lot of moments in the night when I lost my friends completely in the crowd and danced with girls I had just met.
It’s true that the bathrooms are kind of «meh», and the floor can get slippery… Literally. I was kind of scared for myself in my heels.

Went here on a Thursday night with a group of coworkers and friends. Surprisingly it was very busy for a Thurs night! Good mix of music. Good drinks. There were also drag queens performing throughout the night. It was an overall «fabbbbulous» night out at this local gay bar/​club. Heard Wed night was a good night to check out as well. Might try that later. Only downfall is it closes at 2am just like every other bar/​club in nj. We were not ready to stop dancing! Wanted to go to a gay club with some friends. This one had great reviews so we decided on this place. Can’t say I had a great time…
I went on a Friday night. Website said the doors opened at 9 so we got there around 11ish thinking it would be pretty packed already. It wasn’t.it was so dead in there… We walked in and there were a few people at the bar so we kinda just sat down waiting for it to pick up. I got a beer and it was $ 5. My friend got a shot of fireball and a coke for $ 8 which I actually thought it was a pretty good price. We waited until about 11:30 and it was still kind of empty so we went upstairs to where the dance floor is. It was still empty. just a few people chillen around the bar. We asked the bartender what time it normally starts picking up and he said 11:30 so we continued to wait. Around 12ish it started to pick up, but barely. There was a drag show going on which was pretty entertaining. After that, the dance floor cleared and the DJ started playing music. No one was dancing. there were a few people just standing around on the dance floor but that was about it. About 12:30 ish, we went to the dance floor and stayed for maybe five minutes and got off because again, there really wasn’t anyone dancing. We decided to just leave at 1 because we weren’t having a good time and just went to a bar. My friend wanted to take one last shot and got a fireball shot. He charged us $ 7 for the shot. Don’t really know why the prices were different from upstairs and downstairs but we paid and left. Downstairs was still pretty empty. Not sure how any other nights are there but our experience wasn’t great. Cover charge was $ 5 and coat check was $ 3. Mostly all gay guys here, not many girls come in though.

Well tonight was an horrible night at this place. I was denied re-​entry for no apparent reason. Maybe it was because am black or maybe it was because the bouncer was having a bad night. But there is no sign that state there is no re-​entry. They even called the cops on me. I was not arrested because I didn’t do anything wrong. But the bouncer felt I should not be allowed in. So this club is more than likely cater to a lighter complexion. Eitherway they gay scene needs to change. All gay are not light skin. Thank you.

Still a great place for music and dancing…

Was there last night and OMG! I was sold at $ 2 before 11pm. They were not watered down either. The people there were friendly. The drag show could’ve been better. They danced & sang 1 song nd told jokes. I won the twerk contest lol. Bartenders are cool. Great music. Great place to go to if u wanna dance the night away.

If you get in early enough, cover is waived and you get $ 2 drink specials. Their well drinks are higher end, so you’ll be nice and shwasted early on and can spend the rest of the evening dancing it off. When my friends and I go, we always spend the majority of the time on the top floor, dancing our hearts out.
Feathers is very accepting of everyone. Gay or straight — it’s a great local place to drink, dance, and have fun.

I loved Feathers! I was visiting my sister and a group of us went out to party. Such a great time. I think I lost $ 30 in some male dancer’s thong. Great drinks, great fun. They do need to do something about all the clogged toilets. A little gross. But an amazing club overall. I can’t wait to go back!

Dude, great drink specials ($ 2!!!) and amazing place to go dancing. Great music and a lot of fun. The staff is always sweet and so nice.

This is definitely my favorite regular spot and they don’t care if you’re gay/​straight/​whatever. They’re accepting of everyone, which is why I love it here!
