We went here for breakfast after church on Sunday. It was busy, but the service was very good and we were not rushed at all even when we offered to clear out they said it was fine to just sit and talk. Prices were reasonable, Coffee was very good and the sausage was nice and spicy. Omelettes and French toast were very good but my breakfast pizza was definitely worth coming back for. SOGOOD, and way too much food.

Best cinnamon roll I’ve ever had was here. Very modern country atmosphere. And they were able to seat a large group right away.

Had a cheeseburger. It was fine – not anything to rave about, but my impression of the food may be affected by the long wait. Their coffee was pretty good. The food took a really long time to come out(almost an hour). It was pretty busy and they seemed understaffed. Food 2 stars On a different occasion I went to the bar. It was pretty alright. I had a Milwaukee brewing co. IPA. They had maybe 6 beers on tap(some local brews, Miller light and Sam Adams. The bartender was very drunk, but seemed competent. Bar 3.5 stars Went back again and the food was better and service was very good.

Plus: food is good and competitively priced for the area Cons: Unreasonably long wait; service poor at times After a couple of months since its inception, I finally tried Gallagher’s this Sunday afternoon and found myself to be somewhat disappointed. After hearing about someone who said they waited over an hour when they went to Gallagher’s, maybe we shouldn’t have gone. However, since that person went to Gallagher’s soon after it opened, I figured that the service staff still had some kinks to work through at that point and had probably resolved them. I was wrong. My boyfriend and I waited over an hour after we placed our order for cheeseburgers. I’ve grilled a number of burgers in my day and know that it does not take nearly that long to make a burger, even with other patrons’ orders coming in. To top it off, our server got around to refreshing drinks maybe twice during our very long wait. Maybe it’s just because we worked up an appetite while we waited, but when the food arrived it seemed like the portions could have been a little more generous. I ordered fruit as my side and got two thin, small, slices of watermelon. In all fairness, the food was pretty good after it did arrive(thick patty, cheddar cheese, toasted bun). Even though my boyfriend’s bacon cheeseburger came with two small slices of bacon, it was all fine. However, we could’ve easily eaten down the street at Kristina’s or Mugs and have been done well before the time our food actually did arrive. While Gallagher’s can boast friendly servers and tasteful décor, I cannot eat either and they don’t negate an unreasonable wait time. It’s unfortunate that the service was so inadequate, because the food is tasty and competitively priced. I would go back if the wait wasn’t so long.

I walked into this restaurant looking to order some take out food that would be healthier than what seemed to be the norm in this town… Pizza and burgers. I was so happy to find they had a wide selection of salads and many healthier options. Not only that, the prices were very reasonable, the décor was stylish and had a comfortable atmosphere, and the employees were very kind and helpful. The food took very little time to be prepared. I had the tilapia sandwich and a Caesar salad. The food was delicious. Great job! I will definitely return if I’m in this town again in the future.

Wisconsin native but live in Chicago, so I miss my Wisconsin breakfast! Nothing like a Wisconsin egg! We were in Ripon area and via Unilocal found Gallagher;s. Our trio was very pleased, I had eggs and potatoes, and they were just right — not overly salted potatoes, using onions and maybe peppers for flavor. My husband had an omelette which was excellent, filled with very fresh ingredients. My mother-in-law had the Door Country French toast — with cherries and cream cheese — too rich for my taste, but she loved and the small taste I had was very good. Coffee good, but not great, could be a little heavier for my taste. We shared a scone — homemade with strawberries, which was not dry and very flavorful. More than the average breakfast nook on choices of toast including sour dough. Fresh fruit was nice, came with my breakfast. They have large outdoor area too. Very clean, and you can tell the owners want professional servers and striving to make a good dining experience. I love restaurateurs who make an effort you can see they are trying! The price was great, I think ours was $ 36(including tip) for 3 — in Chicago, it would easily have been a $ 50 brunch. I think the owner maybe at the front, she is warm and inviting.

After our party of four grabbed a late lunch at Gallagher’s and overall, I came away impressed with my initial dining experience. While the food suffered from some minor flaws, it was flavorful, made with fresh ingredients and the staff delivered it with prompt, courteous service. Starting a theme of strong customer-oriented service that carried through the entire meal, the host warmly greeted us as we entered the restaurant at 2PM on a Friday afternoon. While two walls of large windows allow natural light to flow into the restaurant, the black paint on the ceiling gave the dining area a slightly murky feel. The interior of the eatery is well maintained and impeccably clean. The lunch menu offers a variety of soups, salads, burgers and sandwiches. An interesting variety of sides come with the sandwiches and burgers, including a cucumber salad, wild rice and sausage pilaf and a grape salad to go along with more traditional options like hand-cut fries, seasonal fruit or a veggie side. The hand-cut fries deserve special commendation — they were deep fried potato perfection with their deep golden, crunchy exterior. They deserve a better condiment than jut Heinz Ketchup. Gallagher’s should add them on the appetizer menu — I would make hour drive to Ripon just for a large plate of these fries. The other sides were less successful. The sweet /sour equilibrium of cucumber salad was unbalanced — it needed more vinegar to compensate for the sweetness of this dish. While I enjoyed the burst of black pepper of the wild rice and sausage pilaf, the mushy rice was a downer. As for the entrees, I loved my Reuben sandwich($ 8.25), studded with tender, house cooked corned beef. The kitchen nailed the textural component as well, with the perfectly grilled exterior offering a satisfying crunch with each bite. While the Swiss cheese was slightly bitter, the sweetness of the thin layer of Thousand Island dressing helped balance out. It was one of the better Reuben sandwiches I’ve had in recent memory. The rest of our diners in our group enjoyed their entrees as well. Everything appeared freshly prepared using fresh ingredients. My brother appreciated the robust flavor of his BBQ Beef sandwich and my father enjoyed the buttermilk battered shrimp in his po boy sandwich($ 7.75). While the kitchen generally nailed the taste component of our meal, the one glaring exception was the salted caramel gelato. While I loved the massive serving size, the gelato tasted like those artificially flavored butterscotch chips than real caramel. As I mentioned earlier, our server did a tremendous job. The food can at the right intervals, she always checked in ensure we were enjoying our food and kept our table clear of empty plates. While the restaurant was not super busy(we arrived an hour before it closed for the day), I couldn’t have been happier with the level of service. Overall, I would have no problem recommending Gallagher’s.

Had lunch last week at Gallagher’s and thoroughly enjoyed the food, setting and service. Sit outside for a wonderful meal if able. Experienced breakfast for the first time this morning and it was both enjoyable and relaxing. Wonderful value for the money. Efficient, friendly service and absolutely delicious food. My husband had the corned beef hash and thought it was one of the best he’s ever had. Perfectly prepared and fresh! I had an omelet with mushrooms, onions and swiss cheese. It was loaded with vegetables yet perfectly balanced with the cheese and egg. YUM. Each of us received a generous portion of potatoes — so much so that I couldn’t finish mine. The interior of the restaurant is attractively decorated but oh-so-comfortable and welcoming. Love the outside patio area as well. An absolute must when in Ripon — or better yet — make a special trip just to experience Gallagher’s!

We just happened on this place after church one Sunday. We live in Berlin and are disappointed by restaurants in the area often. This place was great! The breakfast burrito was very flavorful, the biscuits were made from scratch, and the breakfast crêpe was amazing as well. We also recommend the Door County cherry French toast. Prices are very reasonable and service was great! Highly recommend!

I live nearby and was excited to hear about a decent breakfast/lunch place in the community. Certainly an enjoyable place. Had bfast the other day. Love the outdoor seating option. Service was wonderful. I had their breakfast burrito. Really tasty. Generous portion. I’m easily disappointed with breakfast burritos usually due to a plane, bland flour tortilla. This was much better. 9⁄10. My wife had the potato pancakes. She gave them a 5⁄10. They didn’t taste like frozen, mass produced pancake, but lacked flavor and were not too crisp. Bonus points for homemade food. If they had a tasty Bloody Mary menu I’d be thrilled! Definitely worth checking out.
