China Bowl

By far the best Chinese in the area. I order here at least twice a month and everytime the food is fresh and consistently as good as the last time.

There is not one good Chinese Restaurant in Ripon, try Kitty’s in Manteca. They have killer house Fried Rice. The owners are really nice too.

Really good chinese food, great flavor and good portions for the price. We ordered an entire spread of various items including the vegetarian options. The food was good and would definitely come back. Nice people working there. This place is a good example of not judging a book by its cover. The place doesn’t look as fancy and the chinese place across the street, but the food is what counts and you’ll pay for the food, not the décor at this place.

Waited over an hour for a pickup order, got the wrong food, returned and got the right food, but just so-​so.

I’m from out of town and visiting family. We stopped in here not sure of what to expect. Best Chinese food and absolutely loved it! Everything we got was delicious… asparagus and beef, orange chicken, and the honey walnut prawns were AMAZING! And the staff was very friendly. Definitely will come back!

Wanted to try a home town chinese restaurant. For starters, very slow in waiting for food, over an hour! Second, very over priced! Service itself waiting our table, etc. was good. Chow mein was ok, although I’ve never had dark brown chow mein before. The sauce for orange chicken was very dark red and much too much sauce and tiny pieces of chicken. Prawns were very tiny and only two of them! Very disappointed in my combo. Deep fried asparagus over done and over priced. Work stations out in the open and messy looking. Tables in the rest of the restaurant were clean. We have eaten at many different Chinese restaurants and this was not good. We will go back to our favorite where they include soup and substitutions with their combos.

Amazing service, fresh food cooked to order, Garlic Chicken and Honey Walnut Prawns are amazing. My husband eats lunch here probably once a week and I drive from Manteca to meet him at least once a month! We both love it!

My wife and I both experienced a lot of bad stomachaches/​cramping after eating there. We can’t pinpoint what exactly it was since we had multiple things from their dinner option for 2. Needless to say we won’t be going back to this Chinese restaurant. If it wasn’t for that we probably would return.

Awesome food and great service. Everything is very fresh and tastes great. I’ve been eating here for years and have never had a bad meal.

Delicious delicious. We had egg flower soup, egg roll, chowmein, garlic chicken, almond chicken and foil wrapped chicken. It was a lunch special. Hostess very cordial and accommodating. We will definitely be going there again. I can eat their chow mein ²⁴⁄₇. Thank you so much.

I love this place, it’s just good Chinese food. We have gone a couple times and my favorite is their fried green beans. Very friendly.

we have tried 3 other places, before finding this little whole in the wall… those type places are always best. we had seen it a few times as we drove by but never thought of ordering… loved it. they deliver, thats great not alot of chinese places do. we ordered chicken fried rice, chicken chow mein, beef and broccoli, orange chicken and potstickers ! it was all amazing… we will definitly be ordering from here again. oh and the pricing was good too

I absolutely love China Bowl. My brother and I were regulars until I moved across the country. Now we go anytime I’m in town (and ususally a few times during my trips). They always know our order and Carmen, the main hostess, is SO nice and friendly. I usually get a combo with sweet and sour pork, chicken chow mein, chicken fried rice, and crab rangoon. They’ll let you customize a combo with no extra charge. We’ve tried many other things on the menu, and there’s never been anything I didn’t like. I recommend the sesame chicken and the orange chicken as well. They also have the very best egg flower soup ever. Their crab rangoon are amazing. The only thing I don’t like is how pricey it can be (expect to pay $ 8 – 10 for a combo plate), but the food is completely great. There’s a location in Salida called Golden Bowl that is the same family as well. Highly recommend both restaurants. They’re great!

We were very happy when China Bowl opened up. Have been many times now and have always received good food and service. Our favorites are the sesame beef and orange chicken.
