Schlotzsky’s Deli

Just recently discovered Schlotzky’s/Cinnabon in Rio Rancho. The meal was great! Well-​priced, good sandwich selection with nice portions and a bag of kettle chips. They even had pizza and the neat little Coke fountain machine that let’s you add flavors to any Coke product. Best of all, you can finish it up with a warm Cinnabon (if you have the room). I’ll be back!

I don’t know what happened to this place. We come here all the time and this is the worse we have seen it. All the tables were dirty, bugs walking around. I’m hoping the back is cleaner from the front. Food is good but it was scary eating it after what we saw. Will we be back? Not sure after this!

We love the sandwiches here. Unfortunately, management has taken a downturn in the past year or so. Part of the experience in a small place like this is the person who is at the cash register and the person who brings you your food – and then there is the food. Up until the last year, all of those things were perfect. Everyone was warm, friendly, and competent. There were plenty of supplies and everything was clean. These days you never know what you’ll find: tea leaking all over the floor, no sugar, no lemon, the wrong size straws, no napkins, dirty tables – and even a single person who is trying to do everything all by herself: cooking, cleaning, fixing, taking orders and money, delivering… I met the manager myself last week in an uncomfortable run-​in. He treated me like I was the enemy. The problem seems to be a new manager with a massive ego complex and general hostility. He hires nice people and then apparently treats them like crap as well.

I love Schlotzsky’s sandwiches! They are so good, I usually order the original with salt and vinegar chips & a sweet tea. If I go for my lunch break I usually eat inside. The manager came out to see how mine and my co-​workers sandwiches tasted. The staff is always pleasant. You can’t beat great service and good food.
**I also recommend the salads, soup, flatbread pizzas & Cinnabons if you have a sweet tooth. (YUM)

Food was fine, but horrible customer service. There was a nail sticking out of the side of a table. My shirt was ripped and when I notified the manager, 3 people came to look at the nail, and the. They all walked away without asking «are you ok?» Absolutely horrible customer service and a ruined shirt.

The food is good, but it comes at a price. If you are willing to spend $ 8 on a sandwich, then Schlotzky’s is your place. Personally, I don’t think bread, meat and cheese is worth $ 10 when you factor in drink and side… so this isn’t a place I typically go to.

Excellent location. Franchised ownership with a recent remodel. Service was good.
