Top Tread Stairways

We had Clyde out to look at our carpeted stairwell that was in fashion in the 80’s. Clyde had great suggestions and put in beautiful new hardwood cherry stairs & I tiled under each tread. The stairs were installed perfectly and at a price I didn’t have to convince my arm to write the check! I would highly recommend this company for any type of wood stair work.

We needed a basic emergency exit staircase for a commercial building. Clyde did an excellent job at a very reasonable price. We couldn’t have been happier with the speed in which they were constructed and delivered. Best yet, Clyde had them installed in half a day! Without any reservation I recommend Top Tread Stairways.

I thought we had a somewhat complicated project of adding a new staircase to unused living space in our third story home since I had spoken to a few contractors. However, when we met Clyde, our concerns were laid to rest. Clyde created a most elegant staircase that matched our existing staircase in the other part of our home. Our new staircase and remodel that he has been a part of looks entirely original, a feat most challenging as many might know. Hands down, Clyde was great to work with, prompt and professional. Most certainly we chose the right individual for the job. Don’t hesitate in hiring him. He is an extremenly competent craftsman.

Seems odd to review a company that is based in Rio Linda but these guys did such an amazing job on a set of stairs that I had to give them props. A company I was doing some consulting for was searching high and low for a stair company locally. They ran into the same issue with stair contractors as they did with the rest of the contractors they tried to do business with. They all seemed too busy to deal with them or if they did bother to call them back (eventually) they were so expensive they were not affordable.
Top tread was a recommendation from one of the contractors on the job. They came down with a simply presented picture book portfolio of beautifully hand make stairs. I’m talking old world type of work. They do steel and wood stairs with a variety of rail systems.
Not only were these guys a complete joy to work with, polite, clean, respectful their work was exquisite. I cant think of any other way to describe how nice their work was.
Anyway, bottom line if you need stairs built, repaired or redesigned these guys are professional, trustworthy and affordable.
