Wonder Nails

This place is filthy and my manicure chipped in less than 24 hours. They cut my nails uneven too.
Someone please take one of the empty spaces in these shopping plazas and put in a decent nail place !!!

BLECH no. I had wanted to check out this salon for a while. So last week I went on a Saturday. It was packed but two manicurists sat together at a table in the back ignoring everyone. Finally I was sent to one of them. Her table was filthy, she wouldn’t even change the paper towels full of dirt and nail bits until I asked her to. She proceeded to cut my cuticles so deeply that two of my fingers bled. In the middle of my manicure, the guy in charge sent her to go wax a girl’s eyebrows. UH HELLO, terrible way to treat your clients, dude. Then she finished my nails and the manicure lasted TWO DAYS before it all chipped off. And my finger is still swollen around the cuticle.
I don’t care if it’s cheap ($ 10 manicure), it’s a cr*p place and I will never go back.

I was getting married on Saturday, so I made an appointment for gel mani and pedi for Friday at 1000 for me and my sister. We show up and the place is empty, and there are two people working there. One takes me to the pedi chair, and the other starts trimming my sister’s cuticles.
A regular walks in, so the guy taking care of my sister stops and brings my sister to a pedi chair, tells her to soak her feet, and says he will be with her in «two minutes.» He then proceeds to give a full manicure to the woman who walked in.
Two more regulars walk in and take seats. Then two more employees walk in, and they immediately take the people waiting.
My sister sat in that pedicure chair for forty minutes. The man with the best English said to us, «Sorry, we have to take people who had appointments. Some of our employees missed their bus.» I explained to him that we also had appointments and we were the first people there. Additionally, we had to leave by 1115 for a wedding appointment I could not cancel or miss.
Eventually, they take my sister at 1045 and rush the ugliest French gel manicure on her I have ever seen. Instead of a thin sliver of white, the stripe took up about half her nail.
Over a week later, I’m still at a loss of how they could treat her so poorly and take customers who walked in after us.
Additionally, the service wasn’t cheap either — for the two pedis and two French gel manicures, it cost me $ 110. Absurd.
The only reason they got a second star is because the guy who did my mani and pedi did a fantastic job. But I won’t ever be back.

I love this place. I am now living in California, but often think about Monica and Kevin. They are a great team and do terrific work. I was a patron of the salon for over 10 years and got to know them very well. They are greatly missed.
