CLC Landscape Design

Our yard has never looked better! We have been through several landscape design companies, but we were never happy with final result. Rich really listened to what we asked for and made it happen. He even made several suggestions that kept the amount we spent on plants/​shrubs to a minimum. We are very happy with CLC and recommend them highly!

The family-​owned and operated CLC Design in Ringwood, New Jersey has landscaped two of my homes in Ridgewood, New Jersey. I worked with Rich Cording Jr. on both homes, one in 2011 and 2014. Rich is an excellent listener and takes what you envision or want and comes up with a workable plan. He is attentive and professional and his follow up customer service is unsurpassed. Rich called and came over to my home several times to check on the status of plants (to see if they needed more water, how they were growing, etc).
Rich’s staff is also extremely knowledgeable and hard working. I LOVE my new landscaping and when I see flowers bloom (even up until the late fall), I always think of Rich and CLC Landscaping for making my gardens beautiful, plentiful and easy to maintain.
Would definitely recommend them (and I have to many of my friends in town).

Do very poor work at an extremely high price

I really haven’t seen any results from this company. They charge a high amount and aren’t able to meet any deadlines without multiple reminders. They did get me a green, healthy lawn, but I have yet to see a mention of any plans for a large project we discussed more than 7 months ago.

CLC has just completed a total landscaping of the front of my property. They provided everything promised, efficiently and in beautiful condition. Our job included new, large trees; shrubs; perennials; stone paths; a sprinkler system; and restructuring the driveway. We were asked about our preferences originally, and as the design was tweaked, we were consulted with every slight change. Once the decisions were made on paper, the entire job was done in under two weeks. From the top down, everyone was considerate and skilled, patiently answering all our questions.

Talks a good game, but when it comes time deliver they come up short. Could not get permits done and did not communicate issues with hitting deadlines.
