Animals don’t have a voice. They rely on us. Tabby’s Place is an awesome establishment because they actually use the donations to help cats. I’m always very careful about where I donate and I can say from firsthand experience volunteering here, this is a great place to donate to. As the previous reviewer described, they serve last chance cats. They catch and release, after fixing, some cats. Others they have a program where they try to domesticate feral cats then have them adopted. They take in cats that are about to be put down. When you walk in you’ll quickly see how clean the place is. Also, you’ll notice how well the cats are treated. They have lots of space to play, food to eat and a comfortable environment to sleep in. If you are looking to volunteer, they will set you up. Be prepared to work but for a great cause! I can’t say enough good things about this place. If you are looking to adopt, be open Tabby’s Place. Spread the word ;-)

if it was true that cats have 9 lives, they’d surely want to spend at least a few of them at tabby’s place. the facility, staff, and volunteers make this cat sanctuary a feline heaven on earth! i was first introduced to tabby’s place several years ago by my mother who lives close to the sanctuary. we are a family of animal lovers, and she had read an article in a local publication about tabby’s place and its founder/director jonathan rosenberg. when we visited for the first time, we had the pleasure of meeting and talking to jonathan as well as being shown around the facility. the building is very clean, very peaceful, and comfortable, and there are huge glass windows that allow you to see into each of the kitty rooms. on our latest visit, we met angela, the development director. she was very sweet and spent time chatting with us, and though we had never met, she quickly realized that our family has been making donations to tabby’s place(in lieu of birthday/mother’s day/christmas gifts) for years. pretty cool! everyone at tabby’s place, including the staff, volunteers, and directors care so much for the well-being of all of the cats here. you can feel their love and affection for each and every one of them. tabby’s place takes in cats that are in dire need of a last resort to death — severely injured cats, cats about to be euthanized at high-kill shelters, and kitties born with birth defects. we had the chance to meet a very special kitty, dot, who was born with spina bifida. because of her disability, she was unable to use her back legs and also had to have her bladder manually expressed each day. tabby’s place took her in and she was as happy as can be. even better is that despite her special needs, someone adopted her! without tabby’s place, dot certainly would have been euthanized and never experienced a loving, happy home. in addition to taking in special needs cases like dot, tabby’s place has plenty of normal young, middle-aged, and senior cats available for adoption — kittens too. since the people here know the cats so well, they can tell you a lot about each cat’s personality and preferences — invaluable info toward making an ideal human/feline match. though tabby’s place will almost never accept cats from the public(their priority is cats in dire need, coming from shelters and other high-kill scenarios), they can provide free assistance in helping you find a home for your cat or the stray you just found — just email them via their website. my family and i will continue to donate to this wonderful and caring organization, and i hope that they are around for a very long time, helping countless felines in need to experience the love that they deserve.
