Nice, clean Hotel within walking distance of several restaurants, and next door to a first class Liquor Store. In the Spring, Summer and Fall next to the Liquor store is «Da Beef», a food truck that offers the FINEST Italian Beef, Brats and assortment of Hot dogs West of Chicago! Must stop place to eat for lunch or dinner. Mancelli’s Pizza downtown is the best Pizza around too. Great Hotel. Great Stop!

Room was lovely although part of bathroom required a little attention. Really appreciated the breakfast selection and the attendant in the kitchen was pleasant and helpful. The morning clerk(man with full beard, dark hair, sorry I don’t know his name) was awesome and the young lady who took over the desk was pleasant. My issue, and the only reason the rating isn’t higher was customer service from the late afternoon-evening front desk clerk. I lost internet reliability on my phone somewhere in KS so couldn’t get online to check rates before arriving in Rifle. Let the front desk clerk know and asked how that would affect my rate(as I could have called home and had someone get online). He said it wouldn’t-they had the same rates. So, I asked for the smallest least expensive room keeping in mind that there were very few cars in parking lot. He gave me what I think is called the executive suit claiming it was all that was available. When I got situated in the room and got online using my laptop there were smaller less expensive rooms available. I’m assuming he works on a commission structure? Traveling across country on a budget having been out of work for 2 months, I remain troubled by the deception. Lastly, a guest arriving sometime after me decided to park his monster truck so closely to me that I had limited access to my driver’s side doors. When I went to get things from the car and found the difficulty I approached the front desk for assistance. I pointed out there were literally dozens and dozens of spots this driver could have chosen, that I had parked legally in a compact/standard slot, and that I had parked first. Front desk refused to help. Hours later I approached again and asked for number for sheriff’s department so I could see about having the truck towed. Front desk clerk referred to the driver as «poor guy» and I guess that made me ??? something less than another paying customer? The«poor guy’s» convenience stops when it creates inconvenience for another — that is a hallmark of customer service. The clerk should have — with a smile in his voice — let the monster truck guest know that oversized vehicles had many locations within the lot to choose from and directed him to avail himself of the large selection. Leaving me feeling deceived, powerless and trapped ruined my stay. Cannot recommend.

Last time I stay. Obviously under new management. Have stayed several times over past 3 – 4 years. booked online. called day ahead to move it a day. Susie at desk says, «no problem» check in uneventful other than staff no as friendly as usual. It’s late, I’m tired, ok… Next day my checkout bill under door different rate, more. I speak with manager at front desk in morning and he begins his conversation as «well, the Hampton Inn across the street is 139 bucks so you got a good deal». I explained to him I was not informed of rate change, to which he says again, «Hampton Inn across the street is more money and you changed your date». I did in fact move my stay by a day however as I told the manager I could of cancelled and rescheduled at the lower rate. He was un-accommodating, rude. this property in my opinion has taken a turn for the worse. It use to be so much cleaner, much nice staff oh and bonus, we found a pair of mens underwear between the bed sheets in our room. I will take the managers advice and next time stay at the Hampton Inn which I sure will be well worth the extra dollars I spend. NOTRETURNING!

Overview: This La Quinta Inn & Suites in Rifle, CO is a very pleasant 2.5-star class hotel located right along the I-70 freeway located along a strip of fast food restaurants and a Walmart. Booking on a non-peak day usually means a rate a bit lower than $ 100 a night(as of June, 2015). Parking is free and the lot is large. Pets stay for free and WiFi is also free! The Amenities: 5⁄5 Indoor pool(5 feet deep and about 20 feet long) and hot tub(with small and very scratchy towels), self-serve laundry machines(I think around a little less than $ 2 for washing or drying), wonderful breakfast(consisting of eggs, waffles, cereal, oatmeal, sausage, juice, apples, coffee), and an exercise room with 3 – 4 machines including an elliptical and a few resistance machines. The Room: 4⁄5 Smelled strongly of an air freshener likely designed to cover up the smell of a prior smoker. Microwave and small refrigerator with adjustable temperature. Refrigerator on the loud side. Air conditioner is a large window-type and was moderately loud but very reasonable. The king sized bed is very comfortable and is topped with a wide assortment(5+) of pillows ranging from firm to medium. No extra-softs here unfortunately for those of us who like to sleep on their backs but I still slept well. The room is well sound isolated with a very heavy front door and the television comes with a digital guide with a huge assortment of channels. There is a large leather(leatherette?) arm chair in the corner but no couch. The Bathroom: 4⁄5 Only one soap bar between the shower and hand-washing area with no soap tray. Combination shampoo/conditioner. Decent water pressure and beautiful tiled floors and shower. Large vanity with plenty of space for toiletries. The Service: N/A. We did not order room service but the front desk staff was pleasant. The Location: 4⁄5. With a nearby Subway, Arby’s, Walmart, and some Mexican restaurants, you will find affordable and tasty meals. The Rifle Falls Park is about a 30 minute drive to the north(15 – 20 miles) with scenic views and plenty of trails. LOTS of bugs in the early summer so bring bug spray. Conclusions: This La Quinta Inn & Suites is a 3-star class hotel that is well priced and very comfortable. I used it on a move from North Carolina to California and would 100% book it again. I have no real complaints except for the smell of the room, and I really can’t blame them for inconsiderate guests smoking in rooms where they shouldn’t.

I came into Rifle after fighting Memorial Day Friday traffic through Denver and a 40-minute ordeal of a traffic stop(short story: out of state rental plate + not comfortable with the way the car drives = they think I’m smuggling drugs). So I wasn’t about to shop around. La Quinta was under $ 100 with tax, clean, friendly desk associate, the room was fine. That’s all I needed. Pros: Free wifi, indoor pool, very quiet sleep. Cons: Your usual crappy free breakfast(wake up by 7 or lose out on anything fresh), probably not as cheap as other motels in town. I wasn’t in the mood to find out. If you’re coming through with a family, I’d definitely say just stay here. Don’t pay Hampton prices and don’t test your luck with the other hotels and motels. If you’re alone like me, probably worthwhile to take a look around town before committing. I’m hedging my bets with a 4 star review mostly on that basis.

Nice place… We arrived during a rain storm having already booked via the internet, check in was easy. The desk staff was very helpful and good at their job. We were in the room in 10 minutes, The roon itself was a well maintained and very comfortable. We enjoyed the area with many options for dinner and fuel stop. I would stay there every time we go through the area. Thanks to all of the employees, they were a pleasure to deal with.

My husband & I frequent LQ when traveling with our two Boston’s. LQ welcome dogs with no questions asked and no additional fee pretty much anywhere in the country. This is our second time here @ LQ Rifle. We love short road trips through the mountains and then park it for the evening for a good nights rest and a decent continental breakfast. We love the micro and fridge in our room for our traveling snacks and the bathroom is always been clean with clean smelling towels and bed linens. We usually sleep pretty soundly and comfortably. Like any multi story hotel the upstairs and hallways can be a bit thumping as passerby/children running do not pay attention to their noise level, but that’s not a LQ issue. Pool was inviting, but we did not use it. Check in was quick, pleasant and always helpful and friendly. We will be back!

My husband & I like to stay in Rifle on our weekend getaways because Rifle is a central location to so many cool places! Last weekend we stayed at La Quinta Inn & Suites. We arrived really late but were greeted right away & checked in fast. Our room was very comfy and had everything we needed! The big work desk area was great for my husband. I love having a micro & fridge in the room for our snacks that we are traveling with. The bed was firm and very comfortable! The whole hotel was clean and well maintained! For breakfast they have a wide variety — most anything you could want. We will definitely stay there again!

I stayed four days at this hotel and was happy with the service and facilities. I will consider staying again. It is close to Rifle Falls State Park, a great movie complex, and I liked the Rib restaurant just across the street. It is also close to Starbucks and several fast food restaurants.
