Garfield pizza in Ridgewood — old school meets hipster(sort of). This is not an artisanal foo foo joint with wood or coal burning anything and loads of buildup. It is a right between your eyes neighborhood pizzeria run by a young crew with attitude. Chris and his staff have been dishing out quality pizzeria fare at this mini mall location for the past 3 years — with value pricing that is hard to beat — in a town top heavy with pricey and dicey fast food joints. I am impressed. Santoni’s location is fresh, clean, bright and reasonably spacious. Looks like they do a very brisk take out business, but there are plenty of eat in tables should you choose to stay(as we did), even though parking can be sketchy in their tight lot. The calzones and calamari were outstanding! Simply the best I’ve tasted in town — and I have tried them all. The«supreme» calzone is killer. The dough is crunchy, crispy and thin(like thin crust pizza) and stands up to the filling, which is that perfect combination of great mozz and sweet creamy ricotta — amped up by 4 different kinds of meats. I ate half and was full — but forced myself to shcarf the second half because it really was that good. The fried calamari we shared had a delicate, thin, crisp and well seasoned coating and melt in your mouth squid inside — plus the portion size was generous. Unexpectedly outstanding in every way. Even the«go with» marinara had rich flavor and low acidity — not acrid and tinny like others I’ve tried in town. Someone in this kitchen is paying attention to the low level details. I like that. Our boys had specialty and plain pizza slices — and what I tasted of their dinners was very decent — not the best I have eaten in the county — but honest and solid slices. I would have preferred a thinner crust and less cheese — and Chris points out that he will make your pie to suit — so next time I will ask for it «my way.» I will happily upgrade my review to 5 stars after follow-up trips — if the pie measures up. I hate to give up on my old reliable pizzeria(Renatos), but the quality and value at Santoni’s is sufficiently better for me to switch. Their proprietary online ordering system that takes CC plus fast delivery is a big plus, ‘Nuf said.

The owners really care about how they make there food and providing quality service. I’ve had them cater for many for my family and friends parties and everyone always enjoyed the food. Great food and great service. Try the chicken bacon ranch pizza!

Great pizza, great dinners, will continue to order and eat at Santonis. They always come through for my parties and everyone enjoys the food. Guests ask where the food came from and I gotta say Santonis!

Super bummed by this place. I placed a large catering order for my crew for a film we were shooting in Ridgewood. My crew works hard for 6 straight hours and break for lunch and expect it waiting. When I ordered I specified that lunch was at 1 and would need it ready by 12:45. The driver didn’t get there until 1:12, which had the whole crew complaining. When I called them at 1:03 to find out where the food was, I was met with attitude from the owner. It was a huge order and I had told him in advance that we are on a strict time schedule. Their attitude stunk and they forget to bring the honey mustard I requested or any dipping sauces for the chicken fingers and they were super dry.

These ppl are crazy if it doesn’t get a 5 star review. Homemade croutons made in house everyday w olive oil(what pizzeria does that!?), fresh chicken(not cold or rubbery made fresh on the spot grilled to perfection very juicy), tomato sauce is spot on made fresh. The owner/cook really takes pride in his work and if you want something authentic and very delicious this is the place to go.

Reasonably priced pizza pie… I’d rate it slightly below average. But that’s not the main problem. This place gets 1 star for rude staff. When you go pick up food and walk in… no «Hi» or even a «what can I get you»…instead, you just get a scowl from the guy with tattoos. Tell them you’re there to pick your order… no acknowledgement, just turns around to get the pie and gives it to you, holds out his hand for your money. Literally not a single word through the entire transaction. Maybe he was mad I didn’t order for delivery, so he could scam himself a $ 9 tip; if those other reviews are true, I’m not surprised given this kind of rude service. Screw this place.

Stopped here for lunch. Got the Chicken Parm and wife got a prosciutto focaccia. Decent price, great value as they gave quite a bit for the price. Gave quite a bit of prosciutto in the focaccia. Overall great place. Not the best I ever had, but worthy of 4 stars easily.

Best chicken parm hero I’ve had in the Ridgewood/glen rock area. Good chicken: breadcrumb, great cheese and they put the Italian bread in the oven which for some reason other places in Ridgewood don’t seem to do. $ 6.95 is cheaper than most, too.

I got a plain slice and a meat lovers slice. It was good. Not the best pizza in the world, but it was good. I’d go back if I’m in the area.

I enjoyed this place. It’s a lot better than the one in Garfield, it’s bigger and the customer service was good. The food is also very good. Great place!

Established in 1988 you’d think a place that’s been around so long would be pretty damn good. I wasn’t impressed. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not bad food. But it also isn’t any better than other places in the area. I ordered the chicken francaise with pasta at a measly $ 9.95. I usually pay around $ 14 for the same dish other places. And I got a 2 liter of soda. My total was around $ 13 and change. As another Unilocaler stated in his review, there’s a problem with the delivery guy expecting to keep all the change. I’m not a cheap tipper, I work in the food industry. But why when I hand you $ 20 for $ 13 worth of food do you expect all the change is yours? Be respectful and courteous and give me my change THEN receive your tip. Instead I got a response something like, «Uhh, you need change or something?» Really?! Are you kidding me? Listen delivery guy, I work on tips too, so trust me I get it. But here’s some advice, the nicer and more polite you are, the better your tip. So Santoni’s, I would have given you 4 stars had your delivery driver not been a douche. Maybe he could use a little training in the customer service department. Your food isn’t bad and your prices are great. But he forgot my soda in the car and he’s greedy and not the most personable guy I’ve ever met. Ps Santoni’s: it was Saturday 2⁄28. Who was the driver then?

Fresh ingredients with local style. I was impressed by the selection of options: cold and hot subs, real Italian entrees, calzones, wraps and more!(Excellent customer service is here!) Clean place with travel photography by the friendly owner. The gourmet pizzas are great –they sell by slice and pie. More soon.

Love the pizzas from his place. As vegans, it’s hard to find a tasty pizza when you ask for the cheese to be removed… Not here though! The are always accommodating to our diet and make super yummy veggie pies. Our omnivore friends request ordering from here as well. Win win situation! Nice to know there is a local place we look forward to visiting again and again.

sooo i normally go to Ray’s in Fair Lawn But i figure let me give this place a try since i saw the menu in my mailbox i ordered a sausage parm sub and a caprese salad the sub was pretty good. The salad was great but they didn’t have balsamic vinegar dressing? Okay oil & vinegar is fine. They gave me just oil. Weird. The bread they give you is crap but whatever i enjoyed the sub n salad. What caught me off guard was the delivery person. The total was $ 15 and change. i give him $ 20 and he says thank you, turns around n walks away with a cool $ 4 tip wtf? dude when WE(customers) pay. You should give us our change back THEN you will get a tip. i would of gave him $ 3 either way and i didn’t give him an indication like«here you go buddy» or «keep the change». No. He just tried to be slick and kept $ 4 for a delivery under $ 16 but okay i didn’t make a big deal about it or say anything whatever no biggie. Just thought that was weird since that was the first time in my life a delivery person did that but i’ll give the benefit of the doubt MAYBE he thought i just gave him a $ 20 n thats it. Nevermind the fact i was standing there waiting for the change. Smh Okay so today i picked up a balsamic tuna sub. i ALMOST said«please don’t put too much balsamic» but i figured naaah thier not that stupid. He said 15 mins i got there under 15 mins and my sub was ready. i go to the place got my sub and picked up a slice of pizza. Just curious if they make good pizza. i ordered a buffalo chicken slice. i ate the slice in my car. it was decent. I’ve had better. Much better. So i go home… open the foil and whoaaaa. Balsamic dressing all over. So much so that some fell on my socks. The«tuna» looked ridiculous(check the pics). i mean it doesn’t even look like tuna its DRENCHEDANDSOAKED in balsamic vinegar. i took a bite… NOTEDIBLE! Salty ass hell. it was REALLYBAD. there goes $ 12.(Sub n slice). i took out the fresh mozzarella and ate it. The ONLY good thing(fresh moz is always good). I took 3 bites of the sandwich and i started choking after the last bite. Why? Because it was salty n WET of balsamic. The bread was gross because it was wet and just terrible overall. i wanted to call them but decided not to. Never coming back

The absolute BEST pizza around. John and his team make some of the best pizza this side of the Hudson. It’s a must stop every time I’m back home ! You must try the chicken parm sub as well, it gets better every time I order it !
