Reallg bad experience in this place. We ordered food last week and got really sick. I think there was a change in the ownership. I remember seeing other people working there, but now they have someone else. It is really sad because we used to get chinese here at least once a week.

Pretty good takeout here. I ordered the sesame chicken and it’s delicious. The folks who work there are friendly too

Totally adequate Chinese food. Sauces were very sugary on both dipping sauce for steamed veggie dumplings and the broccoli with garlic sauce. Veggie Lo Mein was highlight of the order, plump noodle with real veggies, not a ton of space-filler onion like other places. Cheap prices, very friendly delivery man, I’d order from here again, but I don’t think it will give me any cravings.

Cheese wontons had a chewy texture like they’d been fried in oil that wasn’t hot enough. Broccoli in garlic sauce(added fried tofu) was greasy. The sauce was thick and a little off-putting. I’m not saying I didn’t eat it… Just saying I won’t eat it again. It was my first and last experience with this place. It’s worth it to go to Lin’s Garden over on Seneca instead. The same dishes are delectable there.

I ordered veggie chow mein and orange chicken. The chow mein didn’t have noodles, which I now realize is a thing in some NY Chinese places, but at the time thought was a mistake on the restaurant’s part. I called and asked about it. He told me that«this isn’t Chinatown». I get that different restaurants do things different ways, but he was super rude. I was pretty much over it and he had stopped talking, so I just hung up. Then I get a call back from the same number and pick up, assuming it’s someone offering a coupon or something. Lo and behold, it’s the guy I spoke with, screaming about how I’m a son of a bitch, asking why I cut him off, and shouting a bunch of other curses/insults/stuff I didn’t understand. I’ve never had an employee go ham on me like that before(this after I ordered 20 bucks of food and tipped 20%). Unreal. Far as the food goes, the orange chicken was pretty bad. Dry, no flavor, meat’s questionable, and seemed as though it had been sitting out for a while. I also got an order of french fries, which were just freezer fare, nothing remarkably good or bad.

Look, this isn’t Spicy & Tasty, but in a neighborhood more or less devoid of decent Chinese food, Green Jade is Ridgewood’s shining star. Best fast food dumplings I’ve had in a minute. Kung Pao Chicken ta die faw. Both good cold. Never ordered anything else, but that’s all I need. Super fast delivery.

I don’t know why there aren’t more reviews for this place. I have been on the lookout for a half way decent Chinese place around my area. All of the Chinese in bishwick\ridgewood use mystery meat and it is always greasy. Not green jade I order there lomein and sweet and sour chicken, everytime its great, even better the egg roll is never greasy. Good prices great service, it the only Chinese place I order from now.

My wife who is Cantonese, and I order from this place at least once a week. The food is always good. I’m a fan of their G. Cho’s chicken. The plain rice is always fresh and tasty. I’ll keep ordering.

Green Jade Restaurant is your Generic Chinese Take-Out place. The fare is typical and is inexpensive. There is a fairly large amount of foods you can purchase. You can get a filling meal of 4 Chicken Wings and Plain Fried Rice for about $ 5. I recommend the Sesame Chicken. They will usually finish cooking your order in 10 to 20 minutes. It’s best to just order your meal and go. Green Jade is not exactly the best place to sit down and eat in. It is extremely dirty and there is a film of grease on every corner.

This place is, in many ways, your typical Chinese take out place. Its appearance might leave a little to be desired for some, but the food is well made and the people who own this business are very friendly. The General Tso’s Tofu is some of the best I’ve ever had, as are their sesame noodles.
