Fresh Taco

I have been getting deliveries from them for many years. Just lately they are starting to fall apart. I don’t know if they have made changes but they forget part of the orders and the food stinks.

I have been coming here for years. Although it is not authentic Mexican food, it is still so delicious. Try the 99 cent burrito. It’s more like a chicken taco rather than a burrito.

If I could give no stars I would.
My friend ordered tacos and brought them to my house while the tacos wasn’t the worst as I was chewing I felt something not chewable in my mouth.
To my horror when I took it out to see what it was it was a BAND AID!!!
So yes I felt sick and horrified and would not ever eat here!

I have lived in Ridgewood 19 years and me and my family always order from this place. We always get fast delivery, yummy food for cheap prices compared to all the other places around here with rising prices because of hipsters moving in. They are a Chinese owned Tex-​mex restaurant, it’s not traditional Mexican food, but boy do they cook good food. They’re spicy sauce that comes with practically anything you order is soooooo Damm good. Also did I mention they make fresh flour tortillas, yes I said Fresh, and they are the bomb. Com. Soft grilled chicken taco are my usual, they never dissapoint. I also almost always order a side order of Guacamole, which is also really good. I have had there paella special that includes seafood chicken and steak, not traditional, but so yummy. Also things that I love to order on regular basis are fried shrimp nachos come with decent amount of well seasoned fried shrimp melted gooey cheese beans jalapeños on top of fresh tortilla chips. As well as any tostada salad that comes in a fresh crispy homemade flour tortilla bowl, yumssss. Oh and please try grilled chicken cilantro soup which I ask for with noodles. Hands down this place makes really good no no no… Amazingly yummy food for a fraction of the price you would pay anywhere else in Ridgewood, even the Mexican food trucks are more expensive than this place. Cmon people try it so worth it.

Prices are nice and cheap. The food is delicious. The indoor seating is horrendous. It’s a long low counter with metal stools that are freezing cold. Bad idea. Don’t expect to sit down and eat. This spot is grab and go. If you are solo, and want to have a quick bite on your lunch break then by all means sit, but I warned you about the metal stools. They deliver to my job all the time so that’s not an issue. The employees and friendly and polite. The place is clean but tiny.

The food and prices are for the star. The delivery is unknown. ive been waiting about and hour and a half for my food. Im doing this review as im still waiting.. Hey fresh taco wake uppp get a bigger staff

Prices are not bad but delivery sucks we ordered 6 chicken quesadillas and they didn’t give any sour cream. They usually give a small hot sauce with sour cream side. When I called to say the lady told me oh no Sour cream is extra, meanwhile the last time I ordered it was in te bag. The chicken sometimes has those weird pieces once you bite into it. I recommend you Try Happy Fresh Taco instead. They are very similar food plus Delivery is much faster! Plus they give the small side sauces without any problems.

Disappointed with order. Ordered chicken fajita by the pound and did not get a pound. Received less than 12 oz. The chicken wasn’t cooked properly, and the tortilla was rubbery and undercooked. I also ordered chicken nachos and received beef. The nachos were covered in grease and was unediable. I called them and they argued I ordered the beef and went back and forth stating that’s the way they always send their fajitas ordered. They didn’t even apologize and said I was wrong !!! Prefer to go across the street to Happy Fresh Taco. Better food and service. This is a poor excuse for a restaurnant and I hope nobody suffers the way me and my family has.

The tacos are really good, but I would rather pick it up then have it delivered because I waited almost and hour and I don’t live to far.

The customer service is disgusting! I placed my order at 7… it came at 7:45 and wasn’t what I ordered. I called back and the lady said I asked for what was given which I didn’t obviously. She had the nerve to tell me to go in person to bring the food back! We were back and forth on the phone for 15mins (constantly putting me on hold and picking up other calls) after all that time she said ok we are gonna to send your order. It took over an hour to get it. The food came cold and they forgot to send the free tacos. Your better off going in person… save yourself the headache!

I ordered for myself and my father, we we’re both disgusted. My order was wrong & when I called to have it fixed, they said that’s just how they prepared the dish. I have never had a burrito on fajita bread. The food didn’t taste good either. I definitely will not be ordering from them again.

Fresh Taco may not be aware, but I’m their biggest fan. With fresh ingredients prepared in proper serving sizes at a low price with great service, this place is a gem. And that’s the truth. :nomming on Taco supreme:

This tex-​mex restaurant is one of the best in Rodgewood. Their steak and chicken quesadillas are amazing. So it their Chinese food.

Usually I come here if I can’t make up my mind what to eat for lunch. Why? well because its low price and fast. A Tex-​Mex joint run by Asians, so dont’ expect to get the best tacos in town. The tacos supreme with soft shelf is more tortilla than anything else, the burritos are what I like to call a loaded taco because it’s not even closed. Customer service can get better, every time I come I feel like they are talking about everyone who’s eating and ordering from there.

I love this place. I go here at least 3 times per month. The food doesnt take too long to make, has generous portions, and it tastes fresh. Not authentic Mexican food, but great nonetheless. I recommend this place to everyone.

Fresh Taco is a guilty pleasure.
While I’ve had amazing Mexican food throughout several regions of Mexico (where they call it «food») and across the United States in its infinite gringo, chicano y Mexicano variations, I have to guiltily admit that Fresh Taco sometimes hits the spot even though it could hardly be less like Mexican food than a can of Alpo.
Only have $ 1 in your pocket? Well, congratulations! You can have dinner.
Looking to splurge? You might spend up to $ 7 to feast like a king. Or at least the King of Queens.
Yes, the quality is like a game of roulette, and the toppings are more like Cheez-​Whiz than queso fresco, but if you know what you’re in for, then Fresh Taco might just hit the spot.

I’m not really into Mexican food so I can’t say how authentic of a taste it really is, what I do know is that their shrimps are a large, the tortillas are made to order and the food is cheap. That being said the rice is not up to par since it taste like uncle bens with yellow coloring but the meat had flavor so you have some hits and misses.
My fav is a 39B you get to taste a little bit of everything and we always get a fried pancake on the side.

I was about to double back out the door when I saw that this joint was staffed entirely by gruff Chinese folks; nevertheless I decided to give them a chance. My conclusion: Mexicans can make some kick-​ass Chinese food (just look at who works in the kitchen at most restaurants…) but it doesn’t seem to work out the other way around. Eating a chicken burrito from Fresh Taco was a surreal experience and not one I would recommend.
Sure, they have cheap prices — but you’ll get what you pay for. There are plenty of taquerias and Mexican delis in the area where you can pay a dollar more and get some serious, tasty comida mexicana.

I know a lot of people care about how authentic food based on who is making it. Well for those people this is not the place for you.
This joint is staffed by Chinese people making tacos and burritos and such. What blew me away are the prices. A 1.25 for a chicken taco, I am down for that.
While there the workers were taking about my girlfriend and me. I suspect they thought we would not be able to understand but we did. It wasn’t anything bad but kind of rude to be doing so in front of us.
This is pretty much a hole in the wall with a few seats. However you can’t complain with their prices and the quality of their food.
Also there is a copy cat right across the street from them. No wonder they have a sign up claiming they are the original.
