Dude. Vegan Chinese Food! Come on, This place needs to be given more props. They have turned every single meat-based Chinese dish into a cruelty-free, dairy-free, meat-free work of art! I can’t even believe this place exists and I love it! I ordered the General Tsao’s lunch special, the Drumsticks, the Chicken Nuggets. Amazingggggg! Everything you would want it to be. Fast delivery too! I will be ordering from here again and again and again until I’ve tried everything on that menu!

Quite literally the rudest person I have ever spoken to on the phone. I ordered my food and after an hour(I live less than a mile away) I called and was told because I only gave a 20% tip that the delivery guy will get to me last because it’s not enough. Thennnn on top of it I called back 20 minutes later and the lady didn’t even allow me to speak without screaming into the phone«your food is on the way!!» Literally fuming just writing this review. I’m ready to walk over there just to give her a piece of my mind and teach her a bit about etiquette and proper customer service. NEVERAGAIN.

Love this place. Vegan options for delivery are far & few between in my neighborhood so Coco Lin is my go to. Their food is delicious, prices are fair, and the delivery time is always quick. I’ve never dined in, but my roommates have and said the food/service is just as great. I feel like I’ve tried everything on the menu and love it all-only thing I don’t recommend are the ice cream options. They taste very soy-ey. Other than that, everything is amazing!

The women on the phone was EXTREMELYRUDE. I called to make an order for delivery and asked what the difference between the chicken nuggets and the chicken drumsticks was, the woman I was speaking with just said«the chicken nuggets is the chicken nugget, the sugar cane drumsticks is the sugar cane drumsticks» like I can’t read? Are the flavors different, Are they breaded differently? When I asked her if there was any sort of flavor difference at all she just said«oh my god» in an aggravated tone to herself and refused to answer my question. Then when I said I wanted to pay by card she told me it was cash only then hung up. I’ve never encountered a restaurant that cared so little about their customers. If this is their attitude outright, I doubt they care much about the quality of the food they’re putting into your mouth. ***EDIT*** After reading the reviews about people finding insects/insect parts in their food, coco Lin is officially on my restaurant blacklist. Congrats.

I had a great experience. Their general tso’s chicken is the best. Pay cash and get soda free.

I’ve been here several times over the years. Best Vegan General Tso’s Chicken I have ever had. And $ 6.50 for a lunch special with a great Hot & Sour Soup!

OK I am not a vegan or even a vegetarian, and I was(I think justifiably) pretty skeptical to arrive home to find this in my fridge. As a seasoned leftover thief, I recognized that the General Tso’s «Chicken» was likely to be soggy and unappealing when reheated, but that the Green Curry«Shrimp» would probably be pretty similar to the condition under which it was delivered. Boy was I wrong — it was ALL amazing. The consistency of the fake chicken is appealing and the sauce is tangy and spicy — possibly one of the best General Tso’s sauces I’ve had, although I don’t usually go in for the sweeter Chinese dishes. The Green Curry was likewise a bit sweet for my palette but undeniably bodacious. The al dente bite of the«shrimp» was a delicious(if not quite accurate) facsimile of the real thing. In general, when I eat vegetarian, I prefer dishes that highlight protein alternatives rather than attempt to approximate meat. However, Co Co Lin does the latter incredibly well. –1 star because I heard from the victims of my midnight pilfering that it took 2 freaking hours to deliver.

Vegan general tso– banging. Chicken nuggets — banging. Been exploring their menu slowly but surely because it’s hard to try something else once you’ve had the general tso! The only downside is the long delivery time. But last time when I waited really damn long, the sweet lady apologized and this time it came faster then grub hub even quoted. So good come back guys!

I love this place so much. Their food tastes amazing and the best part is that it’s vegan. I always order take out and the owner is very friendly.

This place is great for veggie Chinese take out. Large selection of items, all vegetarian. I ate in once but I wouldn’t recommend it. Delivery is great though!

The lady who runs the place is so nice and the food is delicious. Really great meatless dishes. Love the dumplings fried or steamed and also as everyone else the general taos chicken. I love the cashews they put on top. Good choice for vegan food.

This is one of our favorite places to eat in the neighborhood. Flavorful, never too greasy or heavy. The red curry with tofu is my favorite. The fried wonton are delicious. And Coco is the best! She epitomizes what it means to be a small business owner. She knows her customers!

This place, with the fake meat, destroys any take out spot I ever been to in life. The taste of the orange chicken was incredible. If i didnt know it was not meat, I would not have been able to tell. It is a bit pricey, but I will defintly be frequenting this spot. Im in love with the Co Co.

I will NEVEREATTHEREAGAININTHISLIFETIME! Just moved out here from alaba and the was actively looking for vegetarian delivery. The woman on the phone was EXTREMELYRUDE! My food was 2 ½ hours late and the delivery man took money out of my change without asking. When I called back in to try it again the woman immediately jumped down my throat telling me I couldn’t order if I didn’t give a tip. She was so rude I called back and canceled my order. She told me that I was a stupid mother f****** and hung up in my face! The food and was good but I will never shop there again!

I order from here at least once a week. Everybody at work knows it’s my go to lunch spot. Lunch specials are $ 6.50 with a spring roll or hot and sour soup. The food is consistent. Chicken nuggets, wonton soup, chicken with broccoli and beef with broccoli are always delicious. The general tso chicken is very chewy. The wontons in the appetizer are small and crunchy. Hot and sour soup — not tasty. Next to try is the sugar cane drumsticks. I have high hopes but I have been let down by coco before. The delivery guys are very nice but the woman on the phone has hung up on me twice and lied to me about accepting credit cards. She told me on the phone that they don’t accept credit cards and then hung up on me. I didn’t order that day because I was so mad but the next time I ordered was online and guess what! I used a credit card. I sort of wish their chicken with broccoli wasn’t so great so that I wouldn’t «forget» to bring lunch from home so often and because the woman on the phone really bothers me. Long story short the food can be delicious if you order the right thing just don’t expect to be valued as a customer.

I’m torn about this place. I’m ordered from here a couple of times and for the most part the food is tasty. The asparagus with tenderloin tips is really good and I usually order this as my go to meal for when I don’t want to be adventurous. I also love the fried chicken nugget appetizer. It tastes very similar to chicken, has a great breading and goes great with the mustard dipping sauce. Now the bad: The fried rice here is bland and taste like the chef got lazy and tossed some ingredients around. I feel like I’m the only one who doesn’t like their General Tso’s Chicken. It’s chewy and has a weird texture that makes it hard to eat. Yesterday was my first time ordering in a while. I ordered the pad thai and orange chicken. The pad thai was just a waste of 10 dollars. The noodles were stuck together and were so dry. The whole dish just tasted so bland. The orange chicken wasn’t spicy in the least and because the delivery took about 90 min to get to me the chicken’s coating has softened from sitting in the sauce. It’s a hit or miss with this place. Some things are bland, some things are good. In the end it’s a gamble when you order.

If you don’t plan to give 30% tips on delivery, you need to wait patiently for 100 minutes to get your food! And don’t call them because the woman who answers the phone will give you a horrible attitude! They will ruin your day!!! The woman who answered the phone was extremely rude!!! I ordered delivery on seamless at 8:39, and it was not arrived until 10:20– that’s 100 minutes!!! I called them and asked about my food and the woman said it was because I didn’t give enough tips. I ordered 15 dollar food, and she said everyone gave 5 dollar tips which I doubt it. It’s only a 2 minutes walk from my home and unless I give 30% tips can I get my food on time? She tried to make me feel bad by saying that the delivery guy does not have salary. Well I didn’t know and I felt bad about the delivery guy. But you blamed the exploitation on me? She gave me attitudes and said you just need to wait! You get the food based on how much tips you give. Plus the quality of the Tom Yum soup is not consistent. Once I ordered it and it was good. The next time, it tasted like soap water! I didn’t give bad reviews before but this time I’m feeling so pissed that I need to say it. I’ll never ever place another order!

As a repeat customer it’s high time that I update my review. Coco Lin is definitely my comfort food destination. After a pretty disappointing(and my very first!) delivery order I had given up hopes on Coco Lin but I somehow let my buddies talk me into ordering an enormous feast for my «Binge All Day. It’s The American Way» vegan Independence Day party. I’m glad they did because now Coco Lin is one of my top choices for vegan take-out in Ridgewood. My delivery staples are: –Black Pepper Seitan with big chunks of woodear mushroom and my most favourite vegetable… Chinese Broccoli.(There are invisible heart-eyed emojis all over this section.) Again, an ingredient lacking at your average Chinese neighborhood spot. Spicy for sensitive palettes but with a dash of chili oil from my fridge it’s perfection for me. –Vegetarian Peking Duck My weakness is vegetarian duck. On a bahn mi, in a stir-fry, on a pancake with cucumber /scallion /pineapple & hoisin. Whatever. I’m down. Point is — This doesn’t disappoint. Honorable Mention: Lo Mein is cheap and delicious. I will say, though– I wasn’t crazy about a few things such as the Mango Chicken. It seems the Mango Chicken is almost everyone’s favourite dish. I’m not the biggest fan. I found the sauce to be too sweet for my taste. I also find the wonton soup(and the fried wontons, too.) to be subpar to Wild Ginger’s. Something about the meat on the inside is unappetizing to me. I wish that they would include some of the dinner dishes onto the lunch special menu but C’est la vie, I suppose. I’m still grateful for Coco Lin in my ‘hood

I like the«chicken» nuggets, and actually accidentally ordered sesame chicken instead of the soy chicken with broccoli, BUT I enjoyed it! It’s sweet, but not overly sweet. Delivery time didn’t take very long, even on a Saturday night. This place might be vegetarian, but do not try to convince yourself that it’s healthy, because it’s not. It’s just a meatless Chinese food place.
