My wife and I were in the unfortunate circumstance of planning a burial for our infant daughter who passed away in our arms shortly after birth. The hospital had provided a long list of funeral homes. We were so overwhelmed with everything we were going through that we randomly selected CC Van Emburgh funeral home. Fortunately for us, it ended up being the perfect choice.
Dirk Van Emburgh, Sr runs the funeral home. He could not have been nicer or more accommodating. He made the process easy and was available to us anytime we needed him. Perhaps most telling, when the cemetery made a mistake in quoting its fees, Dirk offered to absorb the price differential despite the fact that he had already offered us a heavily discounted fee due to the fact that our service was for an infant.
In the end, our daughter’s burial service was just as we wanted — personal and intimate.
I highly recommend Dirk and C C Van Emburgh, they were great.
