There is a huge difference in how the wings taste when you eat in versus take out. When you eat in, it’s perfect. Plump and juicy with just a glaze of sauce. It’s really really good! When you do take out, the whole texture changes. The wings just shrivel and soak in the sauce. They get weird. Most of the reviews here are based on take out orders. So, please don’t make a judgement until you go to the store and eat in. There is a huge difference!

I’m not sure why this place got bad reviews, these are some of the best wings I have had, I have been looking for some seriously good wings and I found my place. I’m coming back for more.

The most disgusting wing place to ever inhabit the earth. I honestly don’t know how they’re still in business. The wings fell apart in my hand as if I had a fistful of sand. Not to mention the fact that all 3 times I ordered from here they were either undercooked or extremely greasy. Stay far away.

The wings from this place are the best. I love spicy wings with a lot of sauce. If you are a fan of spicy wings, try dragon breath or devil’s juice.

Do you like wings that are so soggy that they feel like mush when you bite into them? Do you like undercooked food that makes you feel like garbage an hour after you eat it? How about overpaying for food that tastes like it came from a microwave? Then you’ll LOVE this place.
Buffalo Jo’s is garbage. I paid $ 21 for 16 tiny wings that tasted like they came out of a box in the freezer and went straight to the microwave. How can you screw up wings? I don’t know, but they are pretty good at it. These were definitely not fried or cooked to order. Absolutely microwaved. If you do decide to order, keep in mind that they will be 100% mush. I made a note to «PLEASE MAKE WINGS CRISPY AND WELL DONE» but it didn’t matter. All the microwaves in the world won’t make wings crispy. Maybe Buffalo Jo should try some of his own food before serving it to overpaying customers. Stupid on my part.

This place isn’t that bad my wife and I ate here yesterday while waiting for our car to be fixed. The chicken is real chicken very juicy and flavorful and they have a very wide selection of flavors for the wings. They are a bit saucy but I like my wings that way. People who are complaining about their wings being soggy, is the result of taking out and not picking up. My advice is to ask for the sauce on the side I’ll definitely return for more wings. We also had to wait for a very long time not sure if it was because they just opened or they’re that slow but all in all; the chicken is very good and I’m definitely going back.

My husband and I decided to give the place try. We used google/delivery.com at 6:45pm on a Sunday to place our order since we didn’t have a paper menu or cash for tips handy. Usually when we use this interface we get a call from the restaurant to confirm our order within a few minutes. After 15minutes we called them. We ordered the chicken cordon blue bites, 15 boneless wings, a pulled pork taco, s’mores, and banana cheesecake bites. They let us know they didn’t have banana cheesecake bites. I got the chocolate lava cake instead.
After 45minutes I was getting a little antsy wondering where they were. After all they are only 2 blocks away and it’s just dumping frozen stuff in a fryer. Though truthfully I have no idea how busy they are or not so I chilled. But they called just then to ask questions about our location. In 5 min the delivery arrived. These cordon blue bites are made using processed chicken. I had hoped they were the higher end type but alas no. Not much cheese or ham flavor to them mostly chicken filler. They were still tasty and heated well. My husband, the diehard hot sauce fiend, decided he was getting «dragons breath» sauce for his boneless wings. I tried to council him against it. We had read the other reviews. Let me tell you… Unless you ACTUALLY are, in reality, a demon spawn from hell and miss your Mamas cooking, do NOT get dragons breath. I was 4 ft away when he opened the box and it made my nose run and my eyes tear. He managed to eat 3 pieces of the 15. They very kindly sent some additional hot sauce also. (It’ll be perfect to season some chili.) oh and the next day after work he tried to eat them again and only managed 2pcs and gave up, admitted defeat and tossed them. He had gotten blue bites as well and kept insisting they had a kick too… They do not, not at all. I had the pulled pork taco. The BBQ Sauce made it a little soggy and messy. It was just meat and lettuce. They Didn’t heat the flour tortilla. For desert he thought the S’mores were very spicy… They are not, not at all. Dragons breath had coated his mouth and… well… he was surprised that his Cheerios the next morning were so peppery. Back to The s’mores– 4 pieces kinda reminded me of pop tarts. My lava cake was standard except they never heated it. We would order again as there aren’t many delivery options around here. We are looking forward to trying other menu items and NEVER having Dragons Breath hot sauce again.

This place is awful. I ordered delivery and it took over 2 hours fro them to deliver the food. After an hour, I called and asked where the order was and they said, «oh, it’s sitting right here. It’ll be there in 10». It took another HOUR after that call for the food to finally arrive.
Guess what? it was ice cold — not even room temperature!
The wings were cold. The fries were cold and soggy. They sent me a Pepsi instead of the Diet Pepsi I had ordered.
My advise — just don’t.

The only bad thing i have to say about this place is that 4 out of 5 times we ordered from here, the celery is was not fresh. But jeez what are these people talking about the wings sucking?! The wings are really good!!! i prefer to order the sauces on the side and toss them myself so the wings stay crispy on the ride to my house. I am so glad i decided to give this place a shot despite the bad Unilocal reviews.

Wings are worse than the dominos/​papa johns type. Like they just microwave them and squirt some sauce on. Delivery guy called and told me he was outside 5 min before he got here and I stood out there and waited like an idiot. Don’t even consider it.

I kept driving by the place but parking is not easy. So when I found myself directly across the street I was excited. Wish I read Unilocal first.
Like the previous reviews SOGGY. Was very disappointed. Not sure how a wing place coukd make such bad wings.

You’d think that a place that specializes in wings wouldn’t serve fatty chicken with bland sauce. Both boneless and bone in wings are gross. Also got a side of chips and guacamole, and the chips taste like wood. Never again.

Had a food delivery 4 July 2015, to my surprise the food was very tasty and good. I ordered the food before I read the Unilocal reviews. If I had read the reviews before I ordered, i would not have ordered. The good lord works in mysterious ways.

Worst soggy microwaved wings I’ve ever had. Half of my order was inedible due to the extremely spicy sauce that the little spongy chicken were soaking in. The driver forgot my soda but did come back with it. That’s the one star.

I’m not sure how to review this establishment. There is so much to say! Let’s start from the beginning. I ordered the sweet chili 8 piece and the dragon’s breath 8 piece through Seamless. Now, I’m not one for spicy food. In fact, I hate spicy dishes, but I was ordering for a friend who can pretty much tolerate any amount of heat/​spice. The food arrived rather quickly, maybe about 25 – 30 mins tops. The delivery guy handed me over my food with a smile (you don’t experience that these days.) I opened up my box first and starting chowing down. The wings were just.ok. They weren’t delicious, but they were eatable. I did think they had the perfect crunch. Not too dry, not soggy, and extremely flavorful. After devouring my 8 piece, my friend dug into his Dragon’s Breath wings…
I opened the box to the Dragon’s Breath wings and the pepper immediately hit me! My friend bit into a wing and it knocked the breath right out of him. For the next 20 mins he was pacing, sweating, salivating and drinking any liquid he can get his hands on. Even after I washed the dish (with tons of soap and water), I touched my lips some time throughout the night and my lips were on fire!!! Stay far away from those demon chicken wings.

This review has been edited. The owner (or someone close) made it very clear that they didn’t like what I had to say about their chicken. Apparently you can troll your customers with the «compliment» feature on Unilocal.Seeing as I only ordered from Buffalo Jo’s one time, I have modified my review below.
Buffalo Jo’s gets 1 star for effort. First time order, they delivered in 30 minutes from Ridgewood in the rain. The guy handed me my food with a smile on his face. The positives end there.
Negatives:
–low quality chicken
–bland bleu cheese
–no celery sticks
–too expensive
We paid $ 75 for 4 people and threw half of the chicken away.

Was very excited to try this new place in the neighborhood & I was very impressed! Absolutely loved their signature wings which are known as buffalo Jo’s wings! Best flavor with the best sauce ever! They also come in big sizes compare to regular wings. The manager named Nur I believe, was very sweet & kind enough to let me try their various flavors & I fell in love with ‘dragons breath’! Definitely recommend to everyone. Also their potato wedges are delicious & well seasoned! Looking forward to going back soon.

This review is solely regarding their boneless wings…60 cents each on Monday’s. The flavor was Carolina something or another… and am sorry to say the seasoning (if any) was bland. The texture was mushy and soft… the breading kept coming off. If you like your nuggets (I guess boneless wings and nuggets are the same) with no flavor and spongy in texture this is the place for you. I’ll stick to McDonald’s …
