I ordered a large cold antipasto and large fresh mozzarella/tomato pizza to go. Although the pizza was in a to-go bag, and not a usual box, which I’ve never seen before, I was absolutely surprised of the size and quality of the antipasto & pizza. It was absolutely one of the best pizza’s I’ve ordered in the area in a long time. Great place to get a great pizza in the area!!!

This is the best thin crust pizza around. The crust is tasty. Just the right amount of sauce. Just the right amount of cheese. Had a mushroom pizza last night which was delicious. Mostly I have a plain cheese pie. I put garlic, oregano on mine, but it surely doesn’t need it. Best tasting pizza around!

I don’t usually eat pizza but when I am in town I make sure to eat this pizza! It is honestly some of the best pizza I have ever had. I would highly recommend the pepperoni and the eggplant pizza. Note: they only accept cash.

I tried this place on a whim and was so surprised at how delicious the pizza tasted. The pizza was fresh, flavorful, and not greasy at all. It was so good that my fiancé and I nearly finished the whole pie in one sitting. The staff was really friendly and it’s a nice place to go for a quiet night out.

Best Pizza, extremely fresh veggies like I love, they are always nice to my kids and a clean place with a warm atmosphere. BYO wine is a big plus for us. I work near by so I’m definitely coming back!

Fresh ingredients, think crispy crust. Sauce is lightly seasoned. Dinner with 13 year olds on a Saturday nite. Looks like BYOB as everyone bringing in their own. Lots of adults here without kids too.

Their white pizza is bomb. Also, cold antipasto salad is on point — best I’ve ever had.

In NY/NJ area we are spoiled for choice for pizza. Personally, I really like Brooklyn pizza! The pizzas are coal fired and the crust is chewy(not thin-crust which I know a lot of people prefer) My only complaints are no slices– and cash only so it is not always a convenient choice.

They do not deliver or accept credit cards. Years ago this was a welcomed newcomer now there are other choices.

Did you know that they’re related to the famous Grimaldi’s pizza in Brooklyn? #familyaffair(and shhhh but I actually think this pizza is tastier than the Grimaldi’s location). Best in Bergen county for sure. Brooklyn’s is a staple. Get the cheese and tomato. Perfectly cooked crust. Perfect amount of sauce. Cash only! :)

One of our favorites! So fresh tasting. We get a pie with sliced fresh tomato and a caesar salad with creamy italian dressing– it’s sooo good!!! Trust me :)

STAYAWAY! Not good pizza. Its soaking with sauce that u can’t hold it. It’s almost soupy and little cheese. I’m Hispanic myself and even I perfer some Italian making my pizza not only 3 Mexicans working there. The same way I wouldn’t want a Asian making my rice and beans. You feel me??? Lol. Anyways the antipasta platter wasn’t good either. I got it cuz I read a review that said the marinated mushrooms were delicious(not so much). Mozzarella was dry and don’t get me started on the side of marinara for the bread. Gross!!! Tasted like out the can… nooo flavor but sugary. Yuck. I paid $ 40 for all that and drinks, tip included. Money down the drain

Great neighborhood place with excellent coal-fired pizza, bring chianti and cash. This is backwards pizza: the cheese & crust are fired first then the sauce goes on *top*, now that I’ve had that style many times I love it that way. Reasonably priced and only about a dozen red-and-white-checked tables so you can look the pizzaiola in the eye if you really need something fast. We started with calamari, came with a side of red. For $ 9 I expected more rings, or maybe some tentacles, but no it was just average don’t rush in for it. A Caesar salad was generous, easily enough for 2 people and only about $ 3 but the dressing was fairly generic. Great fresh hot breadsticks but no oil on the table, hm. Must agree with other Unilocalers, the pie is the star of the show. A large two-item was only $ 20, arrived with almost enough char on it, great pepperoni on top and our waiter even served everyone their first huge slice. Excellent pizza, not life changing but very very worth a visit. Next time I tell them to burn mine a little more, I like *char*. Yes, I geeked out over the oven and the huge pile of burning coal on one side, see pic :) I even asked — much to my family’s disgust — what kind of coal they use. Unfortunately the dudes didn’t have any idea. Vegetarian rating: solid 3 stars because you can choose all your toppings, or get cheese ravioli, but the menu is quite limited otherwise.

Pizza as fresh as you could ask for, with quality ingredients, authentic flavors and good sides. I’ve been coming here on and off for a few years now with my family and the quality has never wavered. Let’s start with a rundown of the ingredients. Cheese — fresh mozzarella that doesn’t turn greasy or hard when baked. The Parmesan is flavorful and neither cheese is ever applied excessively or too sparsely. Crust — flavor is lacking a bit, but some people like that. Always well baked, if a bit lacking in crustiness on the bottom. Regardless, the thin crust stands up well to the heavy burden of whatever toppings you choose. Sauce — here’s where the pizza falls short. The sauce is fresh and not too tomatoey, but could use some more spices/flavor. I’ve found it to be under salted at times. Don’t miss the specialty salads, especially the red pepper, quite delicious. They also have some espresso drinks that I’ve never tried. Prices are fair if a bit excessive, but atmosphere is nice and wait staff is friendly and service is quick

Delicious sit-down pizza. I would prefer eating this pizza in the restaurant rather than the comforts of my own home because once loaded, the pizza is the type that you want to attack with a fork and knife rather than a hotdog fold. Try their garlic bread. The first time I got their garlic bread, I was disappointed as they were bringing it out because I mistook it for the pizza and thought they had forgotten/botched my order. But it was garlic bread. And it was huge. But it was the smaller size. Also, BYOB, so you can always enjoy a nice bottle of wine with the za. Just remember to bring cash.

I always get the margherita pizza here. It’s freaking amazing. Eat it. This is the best pizza place I know of in the Ridgewood area, and there is a plethora of pizza joints in North Jersey. I’m only giving 4 stars because they only accept cash, which can be irritating in the 21st century United States of America. Also I’ve never tried anything other than their pizza, so I can’t speak as to how their other dishes are. But hey, if they do one thing really well, I have no qualms with ordering the same thing over and over. I am a simple, simple human.

I went here on a week night, apparently at just the right time. Shortly after we arrived the place started to fill up. There were lots and lots of people picking up pies to go. We were seated immediately and our server came to uncork our wine and take drink orders. She was nice, but she never actually introduced herself. She was timely which was nice and kept our meal at a good pace. We ordered a few appetizers,(combo plate of fried ravioli, fried mozzarella and chicken fingers, stuffed eggplant and an antipasto.) Everyone liked everything and then we ordered 2 large pies for our table of 5 adults and 2 children. We got a plain pie and a white pie. I didn’t try the white as I’m never a fan of pizza without sauce. But the regular pizza was just ok. The best part of it was the crust. It was soft yet crisp and fluffy on the ends. From reading other reviews I expected the pizza to be soggy. Although it wasn’t soggy, it’s not a pizza that stands at attention when you pick it up. The sauce was bland and the mozzarella tasted unsalted. There wan’t much to it at all. I’ve had better and I’ve had worse. The one question I always ask myself is «Would I go back?» The answer is, «If someone wanted to go.» Keep in mind: Refills are NOT free, it is a BYOB and they only accept cash.

Wait! Before you even open the menu, I’ll save you some time. You come here for one thing and one thing only– the brick oven margarita pizza. 4.5 stars. Cheese: 4⁄5. Fresh mozzarella. It doesn’t cover the whole pie — just select spots — in true margarita fashion. Sauce: 5⁄5. Sweet and savory red tomato sauce. The flavor really stood out. Crust: 3⁄5. The crust is really crispy, but the bottom part of the pizza is a little floppy. If you don’t support your slice, it will fall down. Atmosphere: 5⁄5. Red and white checkered table cloths, an exposed brick oven and pizza making stand, and a nice large window looking out into the street. Nice NJ pizza place! Definitely a stop on the bergen county pizza tour!

Love their pizza and their salad. Whenever I go I get a plain cheese pizza to share and the regular salad, it’s definitely big enough to share among 2⁄3 people. While I agree with some other reviews that no you cannot pick up the slices without droop, I don’t care! It tastes delicious! The crust is thin… sauce is great and not overly cheesy/greasy. They are BYOB, but CASH only! The only thing I wish was different was free refill on sodas… so bring red wine! Simply awesome!

They have pretty much two types of pizzas. The tomato and cheese or the white pizza with $ 2 a topping. With three people, we split a large tomato and cheese pizza with diced ham. The actual flavor was decent and the crust wasn’t bad. However, the center of the pizza was soggy. I love a thin pizza that has a nice crunch. This pizza was missing that. If there was such thing as a «slice test» — consisting of holding up a slice of pizza without it drooping, this pizza failed. I literally had to eat this with a knife and fork. Not how I like my pizza.
