Bella Notte Italian Bistro

A lot of really good Italian restaurants in the area. This was very sub par. I had the bolognese, I have had better from the grocery store. My wife had the chicken parm, very small portion and average taste. This is not what the area has for good Italian.

The most disgusting repulsive food I had in awhile. The old bottega was amazing so I returned as a customer with the same expectation and excitement but it was awful… I got a tummy ache after and No one at our table liked their food. They even messed up a salad with grilled chicken. Service was slow meanwhile nobody was there and the food was just appalling. I’ll never return

This was our go-​to spot in Ridgewood as we live in the next town over. Unfortunately, the food and service has gone downhill since changing names and chefs a few months ago. This is such a bummer. Their butternut squash soup used to be my favorite and is totally different now. I asked the manager last week if they changed the recipe and she said they «only added parsley.» That’s definitely not the case.
The menu is much smaller which can be okay but they don’t offer paninis for dinner anymore. From what I recall, the fettuccini short rib entrée is off of the menu as well.
My husband got the farfalle and enjoyed it. My stepdaughter got the lobster risotto and it was barely any lobster, mostly shrimp (shrimp wasn’t a part of the meal description).

For our first time ordering from Bella Notte, we got paninis for takeout. They were amazing! The ingredients seemed fresh and the ciabatta was perfect. Can’t wait to order again!

I have eaten at this restaurant many times. Went there tonight and learned that unfortunately, the chef that use to be there is gone and the food has gone downhill. Tonight’s dinner was extremely disappointing, the salad was mediocre, the pasta was dry (not enough sauce) and the soup had very little flavor. One of the dishes was suppose to have been fra diavolo and they never added the spice. To top it off the waiter never checked to see if we were ok until it was to late. What a shame for a place that used to be so good.

My husband and I had a delightful dinner here last night using a Groupon. It was our first visit but we will definitively be back. Top notch service, delicious food and nice ambiance.

Great food — got the cheese ravioli and the egg plant parm — both done just right (al Dante pasta, well cooked eggplant). The service was impeccable — the server was really nice to my kids and even brought them gelato for free. I would totally go here again.

Dinner was excellent tonight! The gobler panini was amazing. Turkey, cranberry sauce and herb mayo. Should consider putting in the menu permanently ;). The Tuscan fries are the best fries I’ve had in a while too! Service was great as usual. Glad you’re back!

Been here several times and found the food to be delicious, the staff is friendly, and the setting was cozy. Overall awesome place. Great food and great prices. Recommend this for friends night out or any family occasion!

Having been my first time at Bella Notte, I must say I had a very pleasant experience. The place has a wonderful atmosphere, and the staff was very attentive. I had the bruschetta sampler for an appetizer. My favorite hands down was the roasted pepper with mozzarella. So delicious! I ordered the veal saltimboca for my entrée and I was so pleased not only with the presentation but the flavor as well. My dessert was also delicious — a warm caramel brownie a la mode. I left stuffed! I also appreciate that even though they don’t have a bar, they do allow BYOB. Overall, I truly enjoyed myself and will most definitely return to try some new items on the menu.

I’ve been to this place three times since it switched ownership and each time was better than the last. This week I had the pumpkin ravioli special and it was SO good. All the chicken dishes are fab and my husband gets the salmon bianco everytime.

Enjoyed the updates to the menu. Been a few times since ownership changed hands — our favorites — mussels (ask for fra diablo, delish), calamari (nice twist with the hot cherry peppers!) and chicken parm. Byob, would definitely recommend.
