Great food, seriously great sushi. A little meh service, not bad! Just meh. Not a reason to not go and enjoy it. Great for big groups or a small lunch or dinner.

The staff is very welcoming and kind. Chinese and sushi is tasty. Might even be the only place in town that carries bubble teas.

My favorite sushi spot in Ridgefield! ALWAYS fresh fish. Quick service and staff is so friendly. The pink lady roll is my favorite but all of the rolls are amazing. They treat you like royalty when you walk into the restaurant and delivery is soo quick when I’m too lazy to pick up/eat in. Love this spot

Lunch special sushi varies in quality from good to obvious old dish that at times was nearly rancid. Likely dumping out the older fish but they lost me for a while after my last lunch. Chinese food is a step below Mannen, which ain’t too good either. Get in the car and go to Aberdeen for the real thing. This town need some good sushi and some authentic Cantonese food.

OUTSTANDING. This place has really come into its own. The location has spawned several different operations under different names, all on the mediocre side, HOWEVER, this one has really hit the mark. The sushi is top-notch and very reasonable. My usual is the lunch special sushi-sashimi combo which includes an excellent salmon/avocado roll and comes with a soup or salad. I have come up with my own combo on the soup mixing wonton with hot&sour soup. The price is about 15 dollars for a very generous portion of fresh, high grade sushi, all swerved with a smile. The Snow White Roll, Godzilla Rolls and other specialty rolls are not only excellent but HUGE! We have tried some Asian hot dishes as well and they have all been fresh and of high quality. Drinks are also generous. All around this is a wonderful place to have in our neighborhood and I hope that these guys are around for a long time.

Just poor quality food from start to finish. Had the shrimp pad Thai, Peking duck, and. spare ribs all poorly done and tasteless. The duck was especially poorly done. This was the second time we’ve tried this place. Both times very disappointed.

Great sushi. Had the ninja and it was fresh and tasty. Would get it again. Others complained about service but our food came fast and the waiter was beyond nice. My date also liked his sushi. Good prices as well

This place wasn’t terrible but it also was’t exceptional. It’s often the small details that stick out. the bathroom was strewn with cleaning agents, their television, that only played pictures of food still had the sticker on it. The wall at the sushi table angles up, leaving no room for one’s knees and two of the chairs were being used to store menus and plates. The setup is also odd because the register is placed right next to the sushi bar, allowing no intimacy. They do a lot of take out, so there are constantly people coming and going. There are always people walking through the dining room to pick up their food. At the sushi bar, it took a good five minutes for the chefs to acknowledge us. We like sitting at the sushi bar because you typically get a free little snack from the chefs. This was the worst one we’ve ever had. He didn’t tell us what it was and due to the lack of flavor we assumed it was tempura tofu. The cold sesame noodles were ok, but the peanut butter sauce was unexpected. We got two rolls that were good but nothing exceptional. Overall, this place is like any other ok sushi place.

Yum! Love the variety of the menu, the convenience of the delivery, the courteousness of the staff, and the clean and appealing atmosphere. Will be returning weekly for the foreseeable!

On vacation in the area and decided to try this place. It was not too bad but I like to have cheap Chinese. Took a while to get the food but the portions were big. I also tried the sushi and was not too bad but nothin to write home about.

Best sushi in town put down your forks and pick up your chopsticks. The fish is so fresh and perfectly cut. I have tried going elsewhere but once you go here there is no more elsewhere.

I cannot explain how refreshing it is to eat really really really good sushi. Yuan is up there with my favorite Manhattan places. Not only that, but there is such a variety of rolls I have a lot of fun exploring the menu and have such a hard time deciding, I want to genuinely come back the next day to try them. The presentation is also gorgeous, and you can tell that their fish isn’t frozen like a lot of the other sushi places around Ridgefield. My biggest recommendation is go for lunch and do the lunch deals: they are unbeatable with a lot of sushi for a low price. I also recommend their Miso, it is yummy and more seasoned than others I have tasted. I must comment on service. The waiter I had was absolutely lovely, helpful, and very happy, starting the lunch off to a good start. While it took a little while for the sushi, I’d like to think it was because the sushi chefs weren’t carelessly producing sushi entrees like some conveyor belt-esque places I’ve been. A must go if you like sushi.

Great customer service(at least for take-out), great sushi, great menu. My experience with their ggeneral tso/seasme chicken was that it is too greasy. Their szechuan shredded beef and chicken are very tasty, but again very greasy, as they become a brick in your stomach. I had to stop eating here as it was just too greasy! Not enough meat, too much fried friedness.

This place has pretty good food; good sushi, awesome hot and sour soup, tasty and creative rolls. But the service is MINDNUMBINGLY slow. I sat with my table of 4 for almost an hour before we even got our appetizers. Not to mention, this was on a Tuesday night when there were 4 or 5 other tables in the place. Really disappointing service. Will come back for the food, but only when I have no time constraints…

Amazing food & even better service! Went for dinner with a friend and was immediately welcomed like a regular, even though it was our first time eating there. We sat at the sushi bar and the chef was great. We ordered a sashimi entrée that came with wonton or miso soup, and two additional sushi rolls. All of the food was excellently prepared! The sashimi was cold, but not frozen, as it’s supposed to be. Presentation was fabulous as well. The wait staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us throughout the night, and it was all well priced. I can’t wait to go again!

food is great. best sushi in town. the service is super slow, especially if you sit at the bar. but as far as take-out, the food is great. I love their wide variety of special rolls. they also usually give you 15% off when you order out if you’re a repeat customer. definitely a plus.

We usually go to Mannen and it’s not great, but okay. So when I saw this restauarant right there in Ridgefiled I was excited to try it. Didn’t go so well. The sushi and rice were all super cold which just ruined the experience. And they didn’t have regular soy sauce, only the low sodium kind which I can’t stand, and it tasted like it had gone«off». Also super cold. Just really not that good. Sorry. I’ll have to keep looking. Ridgefield could use a really great sushi place. Note: I see everyone else says the sushi is great. Confuses me so maybe it was just an off time(Tuesday evening around 8:30PM, we were the only customers in the restaurant… who knows…) Anyway, back to Mannen.

The biggest surprise at Yuan was how good the sushi was. It was really, really good. We ordered a number of rolls to share as appetizers and all of them were fresh and delicious. My entrée, the Schezwan Shrimp, featured a ton of gigantic shrimp alongside fresh stir-fried veggies. The shrimp were lightly fried and perfectly cooked. I’d have a hard time NOT ordering this again. My Mai Tais were strong, too. I was a little skeptical about the cocktail menu but they brought the rum. So why only four stars? Two reasons. One, we were seated near the door and the draft was INTENSE. This would be a problem for anyone seated at the front of the restaurant and could be fixed with some entry curtains or a door repair. Second, I think they may have been understaffed as well as hit with some large parties, but the service at Yuan was slow. Pleasant, accurate, but slow. A return visit to Yuan could easily bump this review to five stars.

If only the service wasn’t so terrible, I would’ve given this place a better rating. We went there on a Saturday evening and it wasn’t busy. There must’ve been 3 or 4 tables that had customers. When we placed our food orders, it became apparent that our waiter was not well verse on the menu, as if it was his first day. We had a toddler with us and requested for a booster seat. The waiter said that he’ll bring one over. 10 minutes past and we were still waiting for the booster seat. When we reminded him, he replied«oh I’m sorry, we only have high chairs». Really?! Why couldn’t he tell us that earlier? The one big gripe that I had was when I order my favorite item on the menu, the yellowtail jalapeño appetizer, I instead got the yellowtail jalapeño roll instead. When I told the waiter that the roll wasn’t what I wanted, he replied«I’m sorry, did you still want to keep it?». I said sure thinking he’ll still bring me the order that I really wanted… but he didn’t. I called him over to ask him where my appetizer was and he said«oh, if I want to keep the roll than I can’t have the appetizer». Annoyed I replied«I never even wanted that, please put in my order for the yellowtail jalapeño!». That incident, on top of the fact that we waited a long time for our food just put a bad taste in my mouth! This is a location that has had one too many owners in the past 6 years. Yet, the atmosphere and the décor is still the same. Nothing much has changed about it. The food wasn’t bad but there wasn’t anything that stand out for me.

Looking for fast delicious & affordable food? Look not further than Yuan! Working security in Ridgefield is sometimes a hassle, I’ve never had to combat any«real» crime in the area but in my book being hungry and stuck at work is a MAJORCRIME! So finally great food with a reasonable delivery min! I’m not even upset that they forgot my fork lol. Also note the delivery people where super pleasant and actually stuck around and talked for a bit. Totally enjoying every minute of this, I will be ordering again! P.S: Will somebody bring me a fork?
