Winter Garden

This place is a dump. I hate to say it. I played here back in the late 80s when it was in its old, open configuration. Since then it’s been enclosed and added locker rooms, bathrooms and a warm viewing area, which is all nice. The problem is that it’s beyond clear this place doesn’t spend a dime on maintenance of any kind. The locker rooms are filthy. Yes it’s normal to smell a bit, but it’s overpowering and the men’s bathroom wreaks of urine. Almost every one of the SEVEN vending machines are broken! Want hot chocolate or coffee? Bring your own! The machine doesn’t pop out cups (there’s no sign to inform people of this!) and the hot chocolate tastes like metal.
That’s right: they don’t even have decent hot chocolate available at an ice rink.
We’re here only because my daughter isn’t able to take her hockey lessons at another rink due to a time conflict. I’m really disgusted with how poorly maintained this place is. I won’t be wasting my money here for free skate, that’s for sure.
The owners and employees should be ashamed of this place.
