I first visited this place because I was in a rush and and the auto service place next to it was too busy. I was having a lot of engine feedback(and the engine light was on) went dropped it off for the day while I took my wife’s car to work. They charged a 50 dollar diagnostic fee which I wasn’t too happy about, but they were telling me how much their diagnostic machine costed, etc… and I didn’t want to be late for work, so I left it there. The car didn’t replicate the problem that day, so I was down 50. They told me that if the problem happens again that I can bring it in and I would not have to be charged another fee. A week or so later, the engine knocking continued to get worse and decided to go back to them because I already paid the 50. They previously told me that it may be the spark plugs, so I asked them to switch it while my wife and I went away for the weekend. I asked them to let me know if there are any other problems and let me know before making any repairs. During my break, I received a vmsg stating that the spark plugs have been replaced and everything was running fine. I go to the shop Monday morning to pick up my car to go to work and find out that they also changed my air filter and charged me $ 30 dollars for it. When I asked him why he did it when I didn’t authorize any additional repairs, he started talking about how much time he put in the car, etc, and how it needed to be replaced. I could not be late for work so I just paid it and left. The guy that helped me is very nice and old school — from my initial conversations with him, I thought that this place could possibly be one of those rare places that could be trusted. I would not mind paying out if I know the place was legitimate. But unfortunately, actions speak louder than words, and this sort of tacking-on-extra for services not asked is classic for places NOT to be trusted. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this place and neither will anyone I know.
