Excellent dinner for my wife and I. Valentine’s Day is always a tough night out as restaurants are always over crowded, but they managed very well, even if the party of 10 next to us was annoyingly loud and on their phones all night. We will definitely be going back!

Had dinner at Toscana last night. As always, liked the ambience with the separation of the bar and the dining room. As appetizer, had the mozzarella with prosciutto ham special, which was good. As the entrée, had the risotto with lamb special. The lamb was a bit overcooked. Both the lamb and risotto tasted bland.

Here’s the deal. Excellent quality of the food with its attendant pricing. Service is excellent as is the selection of dishes. Décor is pleasant. This place is a step above the rest in terms of dining. Family owned and family run makes a smooth evening. Nice place for a party.

Wether you get a inexpensive flatbread pizza or the best filet mignon this is simply food and service at its finest! Other places should take note! Its off the charts for food taste and server quality! everything any fine establishment should have and then some! Never had a bad meal yet! definitely get what you pay for!

I dined at this establishment last weekend, and the experience was just fabulous. We were promptly greeted at the door with a remarkable staff, who were very polite. The outdoor venue won praise from my party of 5. We decided to dine on muscles for our appetizer, and the meal impressed the 3rd member of our party. The service was equally superb. I was surprised to see the staff paying such close attention to my party, even though there were many family’s dining at the same time. For our entrée my boyfriend Reginald and I shared a magarita pizza, and was suprised by the quality of bread. However, the cheese gave my partner and I explosive diarieah when we arrived home. Other than the small incident, I was very pleased with my meal, and was very happy with the low prices for such excellent service. Rate: 4/5, Will Dine here again.

What a fantastic experience from the moment you walk in, to the appetizers and specials. There is a sense of family here and you feel as if you are as well. Had a delightful lunch on the veranda. Currently have lunch special of appetizer, entrée and coffee for $ 20.00 with a large selection. Portions were generous and all were excellent, fresh and tasty. Service was attentive and atmosphere was very pleasant. Pasta is always fresh and restaurant made.

Excellent food and variety. Martini’s are served extra cod and generously filled to the brim. They make you feel like family every time we go. Not cheap but you don’t blink at the bill when it comes because of the meal any experience.

Thank God for owners who still value customer service. After our horrible experience at Mezon we decided to drive to Ridgefield in an attempt to salvage our evening. Walking into Toscana felt like walking into a parallel universe, we were greeted by a friendly hostess and the GM came over to welcome us. Food was great. Nice wine selection. We’ll definitely be visiting more often

An altogether wonderful experience with a party of six, last Thursday 12÷4÷2014. The meals were all excellent, in particular the King Salmon, which was juicy and loaded with flavor. The service was warm and welcoming with staff who made the meal feel like visiting old friends. Toscana is hands down my favorite restaurant — go soon and enjoy! The current owners and staff have raised Toscana to new levels of service and fine food, which frankly was not the case under the former owners.

Toscana stands out in the already crowded restaurant town of Ridgefield. Without doubt it is massively underrated but a experiencing the food and service will make you wish that everyone knew how good it is. The veal and fish dishes are particularly excellent and the service is second to none. They will make sure the dish is to your exact preference and with the expansive list of specials, something will always be appealing and new.

This is the first time my wife and I had visited Toscana’s. It was our 2nd wedding anniversary and I wanted to make a special evening of it. first off I drove almost an hour to eat here, so needless to say I was hoping not to be disappointed. There was not one disappointing thing I could find. The food was far superior to any other restaurant I have ever eaten at. The wait staff, owners on site and asking questions and making sure everything is up to par, sorry but I have never had an owner come up to my table and ask if everything was good let alone create conversation to make you feel like family. The serving size is very generous as is the hospitality of the staff. My wife was not sure of which appetizer to order, the owner said he would put together whatever she liked, mixing different items together to make sure she was pleased. I don’t mind spending money as long as the food is good, I can say that I don’t think we spent enough. The tastes are exquisite, the ravioli melts away in your mouth, fresh made pasta done to perfection, Filet so tender you could cut it with a fork, the sauces had so much flavor, it was like a second part of the meal. To hear the meat and fish is picked up fresh daily from the docks and delivered fresh to my plate is above and beyond any other restaurant I have ever been to. Thank you to everyone at Toscana for making a special evening amazing. Keep up the good work and I will surely be back for more. Michael Hanna

Our first time here. We’ve wanted to go for a while. Based on the reviews, we were very excited. We made a reservation and wasn’t disappointed by the ambiance. Very nice for sure. We started with a couple of cocktails, which took some time to even get a menu. The service improved from there though. We ordered the cheese plate to begin and then the entrees. I have the veal martini — very good. A little soggy but I didn’t mind it. My partner had the soft shell crab special. She was pretty disappointed. Slightly over done and not much meat for the price($ 40). The soufflé was recommended for desert. This was underdone almost raw. Was in edible. Not sure we’ll be going back. Maybe we will try again another night. Not really worth the price. Great wine menu!

Beautiful room with attentive service; perhaps too fast though. Give diners a chance to finish chewing before clearing plates. Food is very good, however last night’s special pasta with scallops and salmon really had not much flavor — it looked nice, bit with no taste. One issue: the list of specials the waiter rattles off is endless(12?) and impossible to remember. What about printing the list so that one can review it and also see the prices as all the specials contain expensive ingredients. Overall great place but 4 stars for the items described above.

Thoroughly enjoy the bar area to eat and table service as well. Staff extremely gracious and food was excellent each of my 5 or 6 visits. I’ll be going back often. We are just moving back to town after years away and one of the first places we hit was Toscana this past summer. Without boring everyone — I can say we have eaten here 5 times for lunch(outside and in) and twice for dinner. The food was ALWAYS extremely good(believe it or not — best duck I’ve had in years!). The service was ALWAYS attentive and friendly. It is a beautiful place with a great looking bar. We were going to the Ridgefield Playhouse one night and they made sure we were wined, dined and out the door on time as if we were back in NYC heading to a Broadway play. They did a super job. The only down side for me was one night we dined in the area near the bar which has lower ceilings and the sound level for this busy place made it impossible to hear my wife talk. It is a real problem for me(and neighbors who have said the same thing) and I will request a seat in the main dining area next reservation. This restaurant deserves your attention. It’s a really good place.

We had a very nice dinner this past weekend at Toscana. The owner spent a lot of time talking with us and making us feel very welcome. All the employees were super professional and attentive. The food was great. The suggested wine was great. Overall a really really nice experience.

Incredible menu with beautiful and delicious salads and amazing entrees. I usually order the fish special. The last time I was there it was a rare tuna dish over a tomato and olive salad. Outstanding! I also love their pasta dishes and the chicken under a brick. The service is always good. Recently, I bought a gift certificate for my in-laws’ anniversary. I asked the chef if he could get some soft shell crabs. He did and my mother in-law said they were the best she ever had. I’m really surprised there are not more reviews of this wonderful restaurant on Unilocal.It is a bit pricey, but is surely me of the top three restaurants in town(along with Bernard’s and Luc’s).
