J. Mulvaney Plumbing & Heating

I’m posting about Mulvaney Plumbing & Heating not because I’m a plumbing expert but because of the huge relief and help they were for my wife and I this past weekend. We had a fire drill issue with our master bathroom, and upon calling Mulvaney Plumbing they were over almost instantly on a Saturday. They were thorough with their work it seemed, and very courteous throughout– and also kept us in the loop on $ and what they were doing. I’d recommend to anyone in need of plumbing.

I’ve used Mulvaney plumbing for the past 15 years and I’ve never been disappointed. Wether it’s been my sons occasional shower clog or help with renovation of a new bathroom during my family addition, Mulvaney plumbing has always gone above and beyond the service I expect. I assume the majority of these negative Unilocal reviews are from customers who are unwilling to pay a premium price for a Job well done– well as. CusTomer for 15+year that is what you can always expect from Mulvaney plumbing.

Let me join the chorus of users who got ripped off. The work was done right but the cost of materials was a ripoff. I was charged $ 268 for bathroom cartridges and assorted equipment that I could buy retail in a hardware store for $ 110. But the last straw was the $ 9.10 for lubricant for screws and I saw it was a used package and since I paid the full price he did not even leave it.
We used them 7 years ago and the prices were reasonable, now they are ripoff artists.

Overpriced, SLOW — took at least a dozen phone calls during job. Now the work is leaking and since it’s over 30 days– will not STAND BY THEIR WORK!!!

I would never use this company again. Last year we had an old overmount sink de-​installed (1 plumber) and then a new undermount sink installed (another plumber). When it came to installing the faucet we were told he could not install it because it was not meant for use on granite. I had to go on the internet to get a picture with directions (this job $ 500+). I then contacted them to fix an outdoor faucet that was no longer working. The plumber (yet another) had to cut the sheetrock in the garage but failed to clean up after himself. The faucet worked fine last year (this job $ 200+). But due to a faulty installation (not tilted correctly and no guard) the pipe froze. When I contacted them last week I was told I would have to pay for another faucet plus time. I asked for the owner to call me. I never received a call. I called another local plumbing company and they came out and fixed it. I only gave them 1 star since I had to pick at least one.

They were prompt, knew exactly what to do, didn’t waste time, cleaned up after themselves, and handed me a bill that I felt was reasonable. I would recommend them.
I used other plumbers (name withheld) who didn’t know what they were doing, were as slow as snails. They told me they would finish in 10 min., (I had a meeting and my eldest son stayed with them) and billed me for two more hours (they left in 10 min.).
Mulvaney Plumbers I have, and will use again!!! HONEST COMPANY!
