Fresh, deliscious, real home made food, ah, the experience! We had the Sofrito, a traditional beef dish from Korfu, that made our palates die and go to Heaven! And then came the Baklava for dessert, the best, not too sweet, rich with walnuts and delish flavor! This is hands down the best food we have had in a long time!!!

Prices are reasonable, portions were plentiful, but the lamb gyro was a big disappointment. Now don’t get me wrong. I love gyros and have them often. But this was like they took all the bits of meat that were cut off and fell to the bottom then cooked it again, and then one more time for good measure, making it tough, chewy and unpleasant. If I do go back, I’ll try something else.

We stopped here for a quick bite and we were starving. We both ordered lamb gyros, as the spinning hot meat in the back looked fresh and delicious. The first bite to the last bite was all fat and grizzle– inedible. I would have been OK with $ 30 for two tasty gyros, but it was highway robbery for a meal I could not ingest at all.

I haven’t been in my hometown for quite some time but I was happy to hear that Dimitris opened up a «spin off» of their diner. The warm pita bread is reason enough to go!
Food: Both times I have ordered the Horiatiki Salad. Let me tell you, this salad is huge. The portion is very generous (can easily be split into two meals). The vegetables are always taste incredibly fresh and they give you a huge block of feta cheese. I added grilled chicken which was kind of dried out but the flavors of the salad were delicious. And the warm pita bread is amazing — you must get the pita.
Price: Seeing as you get a huge block of feta with this salad, I’d say it is a good deal for the amount of food you get.
The workers are also very friendly — my mom was offered warm pita bread while waiting for a togo order.

Here’s’s the deal. Very clean bordering on immaculate. Food is very tasty with large portions. Not sure what exactly what meat I am eating in terms of its contents. Out if the way location makes this place somewhat difficult to find. Service is excellent. Truly a value in Ridgefield.

I have to say that this place is pretty darn good. The service is polite and very friendly. The authentic food is great and I have zero complaints. The lamb in particular taste like real lamb and is amazing. They do lack on the spicy stuff and can run out of things later in the day (but at least you know that things are made freshly).
Price a little high but not that bad.

Service was great. Went with two little ones and they were very accommodating. Wasn’t blown away by the food, but don’t have any complaints. Homemade yogurt is a must! That got a star all on its own.

Gyro on Pita never disappoints. This place is clean, friendly, very reasonably priced and serves great sized portions. We go at least once a week and are always happy. I get the lamb gyro and my wife gets the chicken souvlaki sandwich– both are excellent. Do yourself a favor and request the fries «extra crispy».
Great place for lunch or dinner. Put it in your rotation!

Everything a pork gyro is expected to be. Delicious, well seasoned pork, great fresh tomatoes and red onion. Friendly, quick, good quality, reasonably priced. Next time I’m trying the baklava.

My only suggestion would be that they should use more seasoning when making the onion rings. They were nice and crispy but lacked flavor. Adding salt improved them a bit.

I had the lamb gyro it was a BIG portion of lamb, the veg with it was fresh, a great value. The place is very clean, nicely decorated, kitchen is visible and spotless.

Went for lunch on Sat with my family. Soup was bland. My dad’s spinach pie was served cold. Somehow they thought the best way to warm it up was in the microwave. Any cook knows that filo dough becomes a soggy mess when you microwave it. (They comped the meal but what we wanted was a piece of crispy spinach pie.) Their lamb gyro meat looks like a Philly cheese steak, all grizzly and ground up, not cut into slices like so many other places. Will not be back.

Stumbled onto this gem thanks to Unilocal.We got the Gyro platter to go and really enjoyed the beef and the pork. Will definitely go back to try other items on the menu.
This place may be a little hidden but is well worth the detour.
