This hotel is virtually impossible to find when getting off the turnpike. I could see the sign teasing me in the distance with visions of lukewarm bottled water and powdered eggs, but I could not ever actually get there. Twice, I made it to the other side of the highway from the hotel and still couldn’t get there. Abundant signage in the area that tells you that you are close, but never quite closes the deal. Even my GPS couldn’t make it happen, Although it was 1:00 in the morning and I was dead tired, I still just gave up and got back on the turnpike and went down a couple more exits to a different hotel. This was a horrendous job of site location by Hilton.

My wife and I had doctor’s appointment two days in a row at New York Presbyterian Hospital, just over the George Washington Bridge. So we decided to get a hotel room in the Ft. Lee, NJ area that would give us an easy way to get onto the lower level of the bridge, and a easy way to get back to our hotel. If you’ve ever driven a car in that area, I don’t need elaborate on the intrinsic traffic craziness that permanents the otherwise quite gustatorily intriguing city of Ft. Lee. After researching the locations, as well as the reviews of all the major hotel brands that matched our criteria, we rolled the dice and settled for the moderately-priced Hampton Inn, a chained owner by Hilton. The hotel location’s was on Rt. 46, easy to get into and easy to get from there into the City as well. The attention to detail in the hotel as completely unexpected, from the cleanliness to the the amenities such as the well conceved free breakfast for guests. We suggest you put this hotel on your short list if you are looking for a very well-managed hotel in New Jersey that gives you easy access to upper Manhattan.

Not up to par with other Hamptons. The staff is lovely, but the hotel appears to be trying to cut costs. This is evidenced by the most annoying toilet paper rolls ever. They are designed to provide you with one sheet of paper at a time. No spare roll in the bathroom to by-pass this problem. The shower curtail had a tear in the plastic, and there was no hot water in the shower, though there was in the sink. The GPs coordinates! provided on the web site take you to the other side of the highway. Breakfast was good.

Unsafe. Parking lot is sketchy. Not well lit. Had to run out to the car around 2:30AM and the lobby was deserted and the front entryway wide open. There’s a sign at the front door saying it will be locked after hours and you need a room key to enter, but in fact the door isn’t even closed. Got back to my room to find the lock didn’t catch on the door.

decent place to pregame, after-after-party, and crash after a night of friends’ wedding shenanigans. pretty decent for a hampton inn, i guess. the bathrooms weren’t dirty, the beds weren’t uncomfortable, and there were enough pillows. free wifi is a plus, although it’s pretty slow… can’t imagine trying to remote into work and accomplish anything at that speed. i’m confused by their marketing… there was a post-it on the headboard of the bed and signage in the elevators announcing that the sheets and duvet are washed fresh for every guest. ummm, isn’t that a given? maybe i’m missing something, or maybe i’m spoiled by nicer hotels, but i typically expect clean sheets. just sayin. breakfast in the morning was standard– muffins, coffee, etc.- lots of folks enjoying it, got pretty crowded. getting into the parking lot was a bit of a pain from the main road– we passed it a few times. and no, it’s not because i was driving.

I like my experience at this hotel. The interior was nice, staffs were polite and the guest room was cleaned. My daughter enjoyed the swimming pool, hot chocolate and cookies!!! I loved their breakfast very very much!!! I strongly wish to have wireless interenet connection in the guest rooms(they have WIRED one) and a waffle maker for breakfast !!!(Their breakfast is still wonderful) I’ll stay again here if I go to this area.
