This is a very well run Walmart. People are nice and helpful. I found a pair of sunglasses for 3 bucks and will wear them until they break. The place is well lit and organized. This isn’t a superstore so it closes early at 10pm. I would come back.

Have called corporate before because of wait time to get checked out, and only two registers open in the evening. On walmarts behalf, the manager did call me and had a nice conversation with me. There working on it. Have been run over or almost run over by employees multiple times. :( On the good side, there are really helpful workers who do go the extra mile to help and sometimes even cashiers that smile and tell you to have a nice day.

It’s an average Wal-Mart. It is very crowed and between the items and the walking space, not a whole lot of space.

Place was clean and fairly well organized. Didn’t care for the alcohol being up front, but other than that no complaints.

Clean store. Good Pharmacy. The grocery department is a bit small with few selections. Camping supplies are well-stocked. Good selection of hiking and backpacking supplies, including freeze-dried food, equipment, tents, sleeping bags, backpacks, etc. For fishing gear, it is a go-to location… none better in town. A super Walmart is being built in Adelanto, an hour and a half south of Ridgecrest. Adelanto? How do they rate? I want a super Walmart in Ridgecrest!

In the last 6 – 8 months, the customer service has really declined. Two weeks ago I was in the store pushing my cart and I was hit… rammed…by a Walmart employee pushing a cart. I was in the main aisle between the clothing departments and she was coming out of the aisle by the socks. She hit me on the side and then yelled at me. Didn’t you see me coming, you are in my way. I stood there shocked and she just pushed on by and went to the back of the store. How could I have seen her… I was almost by her aisle before she rammed in to me. She yelled at me for her failure to look for customers as she was entering the main aisle from the socks? Did not ask if I was hurt. Did not say she was sorry. I should have asked for a manager or a supervisor but the situation was just such a shock. I did not finish shopping and just left the store. I have noticed the attitudes of the employees are not very friendly of late. And this is a generalization because this is not all employees but it seems a growing majority. It feels like some of the employees feel they are doing the customer a favor just by being there and asking for service is rewarded by being ignored or the employee finishing chatting with their friends prior to begrudgingly offering help. The store is usually fairly clean, excluding the ladies room, and given our remote location — the shelves are usually stocked. But some of the employees make shopping in Walmart a real unpleasant experience.

I actually don’t have an issue with this Wally. I have been to far worse in far better areas of SoCal.

I’m just happy that it’s generally clean. They have a very limited amount of groceries, but Albertsons is right next door so no biggie. It’s Walmart — same old, reliable Walmart. The brand has gotten a bad rap in the past years, but this store is fairly new and honestly has almost anything you’re looking for, typically at affordable prices. I quite enjoy perusing their toiletries, cosmetics and personal-effects sections. Currently, it’s the Target of Ridgecrest and I’m a-ok with it.

This is easily the most hip-and-happenin’ hangout place in Ridgecrest. Plus, it is air-conditioned. Don’t really need to buy anything? No problem! You can amuse yourself until the sun goes down by people-watching. I recommend this site:( )

This Wal-Mart isn’t your typical Wal-Mart. Most are crowded with smelly people and poorly maintained. However, in Ridgecrest, it’s really the only place in town that has just about everything. Everybody from every social strata shops there. Go walk around the store for 30 minutes and you will see somebody you know. The store is generally clean, well stocked, and brightly lit. Plus it’s olfactory neutral.
