I recently went here for a going away party for a coworker. The staff was very attentive to our large group, and the seating was adequate for a group of size. I got the lunch buffet, which was reasonably priced for Mediterranean food. However, the food was largely lukewarm, and I can’t pick out anything that had great flavor. I was apprehensive that I would run into this problem since it was a buffet; if I come here again I’ll likely try an item off of the menu and hopefully avoid the average food.

Got the chicken shawarma. Was one of the weirder shawarma I’ve ever had: wrapped in a thin flatbread wrap(not thick pita), very DRY chicken with little flavor, and some strange purple pickled vegetable(whatever it was, it was extremely firm/dense). Overall it was pretty tasty but not what I expected at all. Shawarmas are supposed to be saucy and spicy. Hummus was good.

Stopped here for lunch while on a work trip. Lunch buffet was delicious. Not that much variety but food was tasty. Nice atmosphere. Reasonable price. They had the essentials: hummus, pita bread, tzjaziki sauce, chicken kebabs.

Tried new menu options… super yummy and excellent value. Keep up the good work! I just came for the $ 10 wine tasting and ended up with awesome appetizers, the caprese bruschetta, beef sliders and lovely desserts, chocolate lava cake and tiramisu. Really enjoyed our evening out!

Finding a good meal in Ridgecrest is challenging. The Grape Leaf does a pretty good job; not foodie-fabulous, but definitely the best meal in town. The food is tasty and the service is snappy. They need to fix their wine list. It’s not long to begin with, but the disappointing part is that half the choices listed are not available. And, no, if I ask for the Tobin James petite sirah, I’m not going to think that the sweet pomegranate wine is a good alternative.

Very rude host. Continued a conversation with seated customers while we waited until we approached. At which point he finally informed us they had closed.

This is one of the few completely solid places in Ridgecrest, Ca. Food and service has always been great, and the menu is diverse. For a place that is not geared towards children, my kids 7 and 8 are always happy to go, and able to find things to eat. The ambiance reminds me of an Olive Garden, or a similar restaurant, which is great to me. I don’t want to get all dressed up to go get great food and service. The management is almost always visible and engages guests frequently. They are truly concerned about your food and dining experience.

One of the few hidden gems of Ridgecrest. Braised lamb shank, Morrocan chicken, any kebab, cous cous… all outstanding, along with the wine & beer selection.

Nice place pleasant food. I wish they could have more vegetarian combo option. Babaganoush taste rich and not much salty :) Server is also nice. Their open sign wasn’t on but we called and they said they are open till 8pm. They were nice to accept us right before closing time. We are here for breakfast and what a great server with great sense of humor he has :) Obviously food is awesome. I don’t eat egg and they prepare the veggie dish without egg for me :) What else the costumer would want. Thank you guys you made our day :) Come and have the great welcome and feeling special while you are having your meal.

This place is GREAT! I’ve had the Turkey Avocado panini, garlic fries and Gyro but the best item on the menu is their garden salad. Their«house» dressing is the best.

Transported to Greece When I’m inside this resturant, I am suddenly not in China Lake but some resturant in Greece. Staff is friendly, inviting, and professional. Service is quick, correct, and enjoyable. It reminds me of going to my family’s for dinner! Get the stuffed Salmon, some pitas and hummus, and pair with a glass of wine. Yummy! I’m hungry just thinking about it!

It’s fine. It’s good food, nothing amazing, nothing awful. Mediterranean food is always a beautiful thing. You can practically stand at a street corner on West LA and throw a rock and hit a Mediterranean restaurant that’s better than this, but for out in a small town in the Mojave Desert, it’s greatly welcome. It looks more like a nice, airy sort of diner than a typical Mediterranean restaurant. I had the falafel, and it was alright. Service was attentive and friendly. Ridgecrest has some really delicious food, food that is excellent by any measure(Mon Reve French Country Restaurant, Las Cabanas Taco Truck — the burrito barbacoa and tacos barbacoa are excellent and savory). If you’re not in the mood for those, this is a decent option that will satiate your craving for Mediterranean. And I’ve just had the falafel here, so I would consider coming back and trying their gyro or kabobs, which I might like better.

Love the food here! And the staff was great! Today’s lunch was the buffet for me. The salad was a great start as well as the chicken noodle soup. Now for the buffet; the chicken, beef and lamb were all amazing! It reminded me of days in the military, pulling into ports and having Gyros!!! A glass of the Red Wine Château Ksava La Piereau(I think that’s what the name of it was) complimented the chicken and lamb very well! I will definitely be going back!

This is a great little diner. The family atmosphere is always spot on with the food. I go there for breakfast but was pleasantly surprised by the dinner I had. The kabobs were great. Tasty and tender!

Gyro dinner plate(over couscous) Friendly enough service… Decent food. Ridgecrest doesn’t have many options for Mediterranean/Greek, but, this will do.

We stopped in while on a road trip Figured the Grape Leaf would have something for everyone And it sure did The buffet was loaded with homemade authentic Mediterranean delights No disappointment there The eggs Benedict off the menu was very good The homemade Hollandaise sauce was light on tang but excellent consistency Now the baklava was perfection warm gooey and flakey So good Will stop again when road tripping for sure The food was excellent but the service made the meal all the better Christine was bubbly and attentive and sweet like the baklava The chef checked on us twice we think he was the owner Great touch

probablement le meilleur resto de notre trip aux US. Enfin une nourriture peu grasse et peu sucrée. Accueil super!

During our visit to Death Valley, we stopped by this restaurant for breakfast before leaving Ridgeview. When I saw a huge motorcycle crew revving their bikes in the parking lot, I was a little skeptical(I wasn’t sure I wanted the Sons of Anarchy experience with my French toast), but the Grape Leaf turned out to be a pleasant surprise! It turns out, the restaurant had been hosting a large party of motorcyclists, and they had just opened up the restaurant to the general public again. Our server was friendly and honored the Unilocal check-in discount with a smile. The French toast had a light yet crispy exterior with a great cinnamon flavor. Add in the complimentary bacon, sausage, and eggs, and I was full for most of the day! As the restaurant started filling up, I could tell that we made the right choice to stop by, and the servers looked like they knew how to manage a crowded room with aplomb. I’m not sure when I’ll be in the area again, but I’ll know to try the Grape Leaf when I’m back again!

The quality and thoughtfulness of the dishes served on the current menu are the best they’ve ever been. I find myself here for dinner often, LOVING the mussels plate which is served in a simple herb/garlic/butter broth that I cannot stop soaking up with toasted baguette slices. This paired with their cheese plate(sharp bleu and creamy brie with tart dried cranberries and lavosh crackers) and a glass(or two) of their Lebanese red and I am seriously having a lovely night. The food is prepared fresh and simple, and is priced right for the budget-conscious weekday customer. I also love their beer tastings, where for $ 25 you get endless refills of different beers to taste along with a variety of apps and small plates for the snacking. This is a family-run business with people who really care about serving fresh, interesting, delicious dishes to this community. I find myself here for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner a lot. Don’t forget to check in on Unilocal to receive 15% off any meal. I use it every time!
