Please note: this place has weird hours, and a strange parking set up. But OMG the Mariachis Dinner(highly freakin recommended) was not only huge but fantastic(that’s what she said). I barely ate the entire thing, and took a lot of it home, this is a great entrée if you want a hardy dinner that lasts until the next night/tomorrow.

Went there for MOTHER’S Day. My mom lives near. At 245pm 2016 …2 cars full of people show up. My family in one my sisters family in the other. No other cars in the parking lot… NONE!!! That should of been a red flag for me. It looks closed… We send in our girls to see if it’s open… Cause it is Mother’s day and because the time online says 9pm. They tell the girls we can serve you. The left side in being cleaned up so they sit us on the right side. Which has a smell about it. The food was not good. There was 8 of us there and no one was thrilled with anything. I never go to Pepe’s cause I prefer an authentic Mexican food place. This is not it!!! Rice is bland. Chicken is dark meat. The tostada was soft… Cause it had other foods on top of it. The taco salad had a teaspoon of sour cream… If that much, and mostly all lettuce. Asked for more and paid $ 1 for it. They ran out of fries for my nieces meal. Went to go pay… And they will not take the GROUPON I had purchased just for this day. No where on Groupon did it say they wouldn’t accept groupon on mother’s day. The waitress said they had a hand written sign on the door… But because they were closing at 245 they took it off. Groupon was going to be saving me 17 $ by using it. It was $ 40 worth of food for $ 23. So I have to go back to the table and figure out how to pay the difference. I wanted to not leave a tip. Cause that would of been the difference. But my husband said it wasn’t the waitress fault… And left her $ 18 for our $ 90 bill. Never will I go back to this location. Been there a couple times before… The food is always blah and the service needs great improvement. Most restaurant’s are so busy on Mother’s day… If they are not… Do yourself a favor and move on.

Much better experience with my lunch takeout… I mentioned my previous experience to a few Co-workers and they insisted I try it again. So, here I go… I walked in on a Friday afternoon to a nearly full dining area. There were patrons at the«diner» counter, as well as seated in both dining rooms. There was a lovely aroma of foods(as opposed to the prior stench from my last visit). The hostess was friendly and took my takeout order without hesitation. I ordered the Taco Lunch Special– 2 Beef Tacos(Soft Corn Shells) with a Rice and Beans. My lunch was ready in approximately 10 minutes with a bill slightly over 5 bucks! Fresh, hot, and delicious– exactly the way I remembered it when it was catered for my work event.

Years ago this was a great place for a good meal. Now? A empty restaurant should have been the first tip off that things had changed. Quality of food? Poor at best! Waitress? More interested in talking to owner/cook about personal issues like her brother being arrested for a crime he committed but only had to stay in jail for a day– and other topics as nice. Attempting to talk to owner? He would talk to these young girls than discus the poor served. This is a real shame– no decent restaurants in this area anymore. Sad to see this happen to what use to be a good place to grab a good meal. Now– you would be better off driving another 20 miles to the next restaurant!

Mexican food connoisseur here, this place is below average. Taco Bell is average. Steak tacos were bland, cilantro taste too strong, verde taco sauce was bland/watery. I agree with other reviewer, beans was chunky but was the best part of the meal. Rice ok. Specialty seems to be breakfast… maybe I should have ordered the eggs.

This place is getting 1 star because the Salsa was good, and that is the only thing. Poor Poor Customer Services. My 11 year old said mom this was a bad choice. Chicken Bland and tasted old my baby had nachos with no melted cheese on top. WTF why is this place open The lady waiters set for 10 min eating before she took our order and was Rude and Nasty. I will never step foot in this place AGAIN!!! I Taco Bell taste better than this place.

Good food, good portions, and a fare price. Salsa verde was spicy, but flavorful. Pico de gallo was fresh and bursting with flavor. And of course, a full selection of cold Mexican beer! Only negative — no queso

Great food and decently priced. Drove past it many times saying either to myself or my passengers that I really have to try that place someday. Well I finally did and it was fantastic.

This place is nothing to write home to mom about. I ordered chicken tacos and chicken enchiladas and they both were bland. They gave us some tortilla chips and salsa but the chips were old. Needless to say I will not be returning.

I was really bummed that I visited this place with good expectations per Unilocal.Sadly, I was let down. The food here is awful. My friend and I ordered the most basic thing on the menu. Steak tacos, rice and beans and it was terrible. The rice was dry and not hot in temperature; I am pretty certain that it was sitting out for a long time. The beans weren’t mashed at all; they were chunky but probably the most flavorful of my dish. The tacos were terrible – they made me want to cry. The steak was mixed in with grilled onions(I thought raw onions came on steak tacos) and something else that tasted gelatinous(ew, it grosses me out thinking about it). Cheese and lettuce was barely sprinkled on the taco. I had to drown mine in salsa verde sauce for it to be somewhat palatable – but sadly, this didn’t even help me finish my meal. We did order drinks which were okay, but not really worth the money. If you do order it, I suggest getting strawberry margarita mixed with piña colada. Don’t get the pitcher because you will be mad you did; they just don’t taste that good. Very watery, and lacking flavor. My server was actually very helpful and pleasant. This made my time comfortable here. If you decide to go, stick with chips and salsa and a Mexican beer. I won’t be back.

Now I have found a great Mexican restaurant that’s close by where I live. Literally. A $ 10 gift certificate brought me here. Heard of the place, saw the deal, and thus had an excuse to try it out. The inside décor is appealing. They have a bar when you walk in, and booths as well as tables on the left and right sides of the restaurant. Service is excellent; refilled our drinks quickly and the food was brought to our table in a timely fashion. Speaking of the food, it was delicious. I had the beef enchilada dinner. They put 3 good-sized enchiladas, chunky refried beans, spanish rice, and 2 wedges of quesadilla on the side. Not to mention the free chips and salsa. I plan on trying the Carne Asada or their fajitas. Overall a great friendly place. People are always here!
