I love cool old houses and this one is pretty fab. It’s right next door to Agecroft Hall so doing those two together makes a nice afternoon. The house was built in England in the 16th century, dismantled and shipped to Richmond in 1925. Henry Grant Morse redesigned and built it in the Windsor Farms neighborhood and it became a private home for years. The gardens were designed by Charles Gillette and they’re awesome in the spring. The house is now owned by the Virginia Historical Society and you have to make an appointment for a tour. During the summer, they have special programs for kids including a couple of week-long themed learning camps.
