went with a few friends to have some drinks and appetizers at a nice restaurant before we went out. the drinks were great and the staff was very attentive and helpful, i believe a grl named Sydney was working and helping us the most. i definitely recommend coming here for drinks and some appetizers or even for a nice meal, the food and atmosphere where great. definitely recommended!

Decent Italian style food. Nothing mind blowing here, but nice atmosphere and good service. Definitely better than the larger chain restaurants offering similar menus. Very large bar and nice outdoor seating area.

Tonight we celebrated my sister’s birthday at this restaurant. I had low expectation for this restaurant considering it was a party of 13 but the service was impeccable. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and helped to make sure everything went smoothly.
I ordered the «Sip Moscato» and since I checked in, I won a free Italian Nachos appetizer (score!)
I kept my dish simple and got the Chicken Parmesan. I meant to grab some of their Gouda Mac & Cheese but #blameitonthealcohol
As far as my dish… I wasn’t that impressed. Don’t get me wrong it was good but it definitely didn’t give me a foodgasm. Not even a little one. BUT I will be back soon to give it one more go!
Very nice atmosphere.

Perfection. Every time. I had the Pescatore Amalfi. This wonderful medley of seafood and pasta and amazing broth was scrumptious. My husband had the Pan Roasted Chicken with brussel sprouts. Service is always friendly and professional. We will be back!

I am not sure what happend to this place use to be so good I was told that the chef Ron Fazio left and I have been a couple times I guess since then and each time I see something wrong last night witch will be my last night all you could here was yelling and swearing from the kitchen f this f that very upsetting and I do believe at some point all you here is yelling throw out the whole restaurant this place is a mess please oh please bring back the old Travinia bescuse who ever is charge sucks…

Ordered the roasted beet & pear salad– simple enough for any restaurant …
Supposed to come with arugula, goat cheese, pecorino, lemon oil
Came with mixed greens, NOT ARUGULA, weird pears (frozen and defrosted?), no goat cheese or pecorino and no taste of lemon???
Bartender could have cared less about these issues. Ignored me completely…
Other than a lousy $ 5 martini, WHY IS THIS PLACE STILL IN BUSINESS ???

I was hoping to have a great experience here. but unfortunately my food wasnt what I expected. All the reviews before mine sounded great so I tried the Sinatra chicken… it was just okay. it wasnt bad either but the problem was it was just mediocre. Not enough seasoning on my chicken at all. Bland.
Thanks to previous reviews, I knew about the free Italian nachos offer for checking in. The nachos were actually delicious, way better than my chicken actually. Theyre not your average everyday nacho either. It has a different taste with white sauce, peppers and olives.
For drinks, I had the Sangria, that was good as well.
Service… well. our server was non-​existant most of the night. She didnt bring the bread .we had to ask for it… and she said Oh I was going to bring you some.. really? We had been there almost 45 mins by then She just didnt have a lot to say and when dinner was over and she came for the check, she asked how everything was and I told her how my chicken was… crickets… she didnt say one word. No Im so sorry. nada nil. nothing… wow… I would have preferred she atleast acknowledge what I said. But. she didnt.
So… its safe to say I wont be back anytime soon. I should have known it was going to be a bad exprience when we walked in they didnt have our reservation for 8 on the books. My niece called 3 days ago and made a reservation and the girl on the phone sounded like she didnt know what she was doing. When I got there tonight they had no idea we were coming, and claimed there was no megan working there that took the reservation. I just know they were lying… but didnt want to admit it.
Not a good look for you guys.

Just recently visited Travinia Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar in the Willow Lawn shopping Center for a lunch meeting. It was wonderful! After months of wanting to go, I finally was able to with a few other people and we were all satisfied with our meals, the service, the environment and the location.
Since it was lunch, I didn’t want to get anything too heavy, so I ordered the veggie sandwich which had roasted red peppers and artichoke hearts on it on a focaccia flatbread and it was divine. I probably could have eaten a second sandwich! The pasta salad that came with it wasn’t what I was expecting, it wasn’t very cold and it was very bland. However, it seems like they had several delicious sides so next time I would ask for something different.
The environment was perfect for our lunch meeting, it was busy but there was plenty of space so it didn’t feel crowded or that you had to talk over people. Our waitress was great and helpful offering suggestions and personal recommendations.
I will definitely be back!

We had a nice dining experience here, it was a quiet evening on a Monday night. We thought the restaurant had a open feel, but at the same time the ambience was cozy and romantic. Our server was great, she was so nice and attentive. We tried the mushroom bacon ragu for appetizer and it was delicious! The lasagna bolognese and braised pork pappardelle was also very good. The combination of good food and good service in a nice restatement left us very satisfied and happy. I would definitely come back next time when I’m in town.

Tonight we have the Shrimp with Grand Marnier crème sauce… to die for! Taste buds totally tantilized! The Italian nachos are always fantastic! Just waiting on the best apple desert on the planet!

As an Italian New Yorker, this is the first time in my life ive been BLOWN AWAY by an Italian restaurant outside of NY. Every time i come to Richmond this will be a required stop! From the bread to the Filet, to the Marsala, everything was melt in your mouth delicious! Even the free Italian Nachos you get for checking in with Unilocal,were great although due to the name i was skeptical. Wonderful experience!

I was blown away by this place. Hands down some of the best service I have experienced at a restaurant in my entire life. The only shortcoming was the small wait before being seated, but even that was fine as we got to enjoy waiting on a nice comfy couch.
When we sat down we were greeted and I put in an order right away as we were in town for the marathon and I needed to eat by a certain time. Once the order was in we got drinks and the waiter offered suggestions on wine based on what I asked. We got a side order of bread for dipping, Italian nachos (free if you check in via Unilocal!), some pasta, and a small flatbread (pizza type item). Everything tasted great, but the service is what won me over. The waiter brought everything we requested, from extra water, to more bread, and gave great recommendations. Even tried some of the Tiramisu for dessert. Melted in your mouth.

Went to check this place it for a late Sunday lunch. The space was big and the décor was nice Summer our waitress was quick and very helpful.
The menu has a variety of items from pastas, salads, flat breads, and sandwiches. The bread that came with our meal was a little hard for me but the oil was good. We got the italian nachos as an appetizer which seemed like a popular favorite but kinda bland. The nachos could have used more toppings and the sausage was basically non existen the cheese sauce was ok. The star of our meal was the entrée the chicken masala and the chicken piccata was the perfect amount of food, light but filling. For dessert of course we got the tiramissu and it was a very hefty slice. As far as taste it was kinda avarage not bad but not great.
Overall not a bad place I definitely give a thumbs up the the pasta and the great wine selection and the staff is very helpful.

I came here after a yoga practice craving for scallops. Thought I worked out so hard tonight and deserves a treat even though I was by myself. Ordered the shrimp & orzo salad with shrimps swapped for scallops. for 2 dollars extra I got two scallops on the big bed of greens. They are perfect. Seared to the right level garlic oil infused with the inside being raw and fresh! Also tastes oceansweet like uni/​sea urchin from the deep ocean territory. Also got the Italian nacho! On the menu it says lightly fried. Lightly my ass. That shit is deep fried to the max. But so damn good! Whoever wrote the menu tricked me into ordering it and I thank you for it! Oh the service is also seamless and amazing.

Went there for lunch. I was first greeted by some of the high quality complementary bread I’ve had in RVA. Everything started off well as in a nfl game. I ordered the pork ribeye (lunch portion) because i was attracted by the name «pork ribeye». Although it took a little bit long for it to come out, it exceeded my expectation. Now I approve this to be called pork ribeye.

I dined here for the first time on my birthday, October 12^th. I loved everything about this place. Full of ambiance and class– courteous staff — delicious entrees– tasty drinks! I will definitely be back again & again!

This our second time visiting. It did not disappoint the first and the same with this visit. My salad was so delish. I had the spinach and goat cheese salad and added salmon. DELISH!

The food here was AMAZING! We started with the free Italian nachos for checking in on Unilocal (Thanks, Unilocal!). The nachos had Italian sausage, provolone cheese, black olives, tomatoes, scallions, banana peppers and an asiago cream sauce. Both my coworker and I thought they were some of the best nachos ever. It wasn’t corn tortilla chips, I think they were maybe made from flour tortillas. I was skeptical and didn’t think that the pics here looked very appetizing. We also had the scallops gremolata with a cauliflower purée and apple pistachio gremolata. It was pretty good, but it only came with two medium sized scallops so it’s not the greatest for sharing.
For dinner, I saw the picture of the carbonara in one of the reviews and knew that I had to have it. I was sad to learn that they no longer serve this dish. Anyhow, I decided to go with the tagliatelle alfredo with shrimp and scallops. OMG, that was THE BEST EVER!!! They actually put roasted garlic in the sauce! I literally fell in love! The seafood was so fresh, cooked perfectly and seasoned well. My coworker had the shrimp and clam Vittoria and he thought it was fantastic.
The service was a little slow, but they were very nice and helpful, providing suggestions and explaining the menu. I would highly recommend that you try this place and I hope that they open a restaurant in Michigan. They would have a guaranteed regular LOL.

A great looking restaurant. Tables are spaced and your not on top of the other patrons and the bar is a nice touch with just enough distance from the dining area. The food did not wow us but it was not bad. Prices are very reasonable. I had the house salad and chicken scallopine with artichoke and mushroom in a lemon cream sauce. The Mrs had chicken parm and a Cesar salad. She said the dressing was excellent. Nice portion size, we took half home. Great wine choices. We will go back to see if we can bump the 3 to a 4! Server was great.

We had great service, great food, great drinks. The lasagna sause is very tangy and tastes so fresh, I loved the flat bread, the crust was delicious, the nachos are a must try. We enjoyed everything, it’s well staffed, well organized, love the ambiance and comfortable seating. This was a 5 Star dining experience.
**We returned for a repeat visit, unfortunately we did not have good service this second time, our waitress couldn’t have cared less if we were there or if the food was ok or not. I got UncleTony’s Favorite flatbread again because it was that good the first time, and it was great again the second time. We had the Italian nachos again, they were awesome again. My mother, who loved and raved over the lasagna all week, got the spaghetti bolognaise and it was inedible, our waitress never came to ask if our meals were to our liking, and when she came back I asked for a box for the half of the flatbread, she looked at my mom’s full bowl of spaghetti and asked if she wanted a box, when my mom said no, wouldn’t you think she would have asked if there was something wrong with it? She did not ask, she did not care, and three women who tip really well decided that our tips would reflect the lack of service and lack of concern. There are way too many other great places too eat with great srrvice. Next time we will ask for the waitress we had the first time.
****We have been back a few more times and there is only 1 good waitress here, which is a problem. Still great food and drink.
