Great little store, great staff and great food! Can’t stress enough that if you are in the point and need something, try here first!

Got the chicken strips. The chicken was raw! 3rd time this happens. I should have learned my lesson the first time. Another time we got a bag of chips that had a hole in it and what looked like teeth marks. Very disappointed I really liked this place.

SO this is a tiny little liquor store. Great for booze, smokes, snacks or whatever. Its open late which is great because not much else is. I wouldn’t try the food, but the fried chicken looks nice. ALTHOUGH it looks like this is also for the bar next door, which i thought was called The Last Spot Lounge, but that review is very similar to this one.

The Spot has recently been reopened under new ownership and is now The Last Spot Lounge. Nice, comfortable bar stools, usually a quiet corner bar. Prices are fairly reasonable($ 4.25 for a bottle of Heineken).

The Spot has sells liquors, cigars, deli items, hot dogs, and some groceries. the bar connected to this store wasn’t open when i chanced by. asked the clerk what the spot dog(2.75) was. clerk: «all beef hot dog». eats: polish dog(2.95) lengthy dog in room temperature sesamed bun. –dog juicy but had no snap. juicy from the fattiness. not flavorwise. –polish pedigree in question. –usual mustard, ketchup, sauerkraut, onions, relish, tomatoes… –dog just a 2.5

ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS get off 80. Head to the Spot. Hit the convenience store in the back. This is where you will find the infamous… SPOTDOG!!! Lordy, Lordy, Lord… Hot dog afficionados can’t get enough Spot Dogs. They snap when you bite into them. They leak juicy goodness down your chin. They are held together with a fresh sourdough bun steamed to just the right amount of chew. Lordy, Lordy, Lord… God himself made these miracles.

We needed to waste some time before eating a hot plate Mexican dinner in El Cerrito, so we stopped in at The Spot for a beer on our way back from Sonoma county. The Spot is a bar attached to a liquor store with a little door in between and it has a nice view of the underside of the freeway and train tracks. They guy kinda chuckled when we walked in and said«IDs» but after we all showed him we were old he poured us cold beers. They have some weird signs in this place and an internet jukebox and a couple regular trickled in and out. It did the trick.
