Very good. Nice atmosphere. Beet salad outstanding, chicken pot pie also great. Roast beef sandwich not great — excessive gristle. I would come back. Lots of other interesting offerings.

While I have known about the renovation & revitalization of the old industrial buildings in this area of Richmond, this was my first visit to this particular location. I was not disappointed! We had lunch, and I ordered the chicken pot pie – WOW! I was thinking about it and talking about it all day, it was that good! We had a very attentive waiter(if not OVER attentive!), so the service was very good. Although I didn’t have dessert, the dessert case was decadent! I will definitely revisit The Kitchen again when I’m in Richmond. You should check it out, too!

I’ve had several entrees and tried a multitude of speciality beverages from the bar and I can’t get over how good and fresh the food is. I do know the owners(that always helps I think), and they are gracious with time and work hard to present the building and give the employees the tools to make great, fresh food. Customer Service has always been spot on and with the proximity to New Boswell Brewing, I think I’m becoming a regular.

*Extremely* disappointed. Stopped in on our way through off the interstate; granted it was past evening rush but that’s no excuse for food not to be at proper serving temperature(seriously, if you’re reheating you need to temp the food). I sent the sides back once because they were cold(au gratin potatoes and carrots which according to the menu were supposed to be green beans) and mac and cheese and they all came back lukewarm — no steam even. Portion to price ratio is also inappropriate but if it tasted better/was hot maybe I wouldn’t have felt as ripped off. Not a fun feeling to spend that much and prefer to have just hit the drive thru somewhere. Server was friendly and accommodated our request for plain pasta for our little dude but it was cold, too despite the plate being hot.

Love this place ! Great wine by the glass selection– the best I’ve seen even in large metro areas. Well thought out menu and food options. Food is always well prepared and lots of healthy and unhealthy(but tasty) choices. My favorite place to eat in Richmond!

For being farm to table, the prices were very reasonable. I ordered the Italian Chicken Pesto Sandwich with Herb n’ Garlic Fries for lunch. It came out promptly, and it was very good. I also tried my husband’s Sausage and Manchego Cheese flatbread which was also great. This is also attached to New Boswell Brewery, so you can walk between both places, order beer, and bring it back to the restaurant.

Loved the food and the atmosphere. Great crowd but a small wait staff which may have led to a slower dining experience but overall highly recommend The Kitchen.

New to the Richmond area is this farm to table restaurant. I ordered the Cobb salad and had to bring home half of it. Needless to say more, the serving sizes are generous. The soups are savory and delicious. New Boswell brewery is right next door and you can bring pints over to your table. A chocolate confectionary is here as well, so you will want to save room for all the sweet treats available here.

It’s great to finally have a gourmet restaurant back in Richmond, Indiana. The food is local, the waitstaff is attentive, and the cocktails are solid. The beer bread is an excellent starter and the entrees are well prepared. The grass fed beef is amazing in and of itself and they know how to prepare them correctly! Ans of course, the desserts are wonderful. I look forward to patronizing them repeatedly. Oh, and the banana bread beer from England is quite delicious.

We did not eat in the actual restaurant, we are on the patio at new Boswell, but the atmosphere inside is very nice and modern. I had the Shepards pie, the mashed potatoes were creamy and the seasoning for the meat was spot on. A huge bonus is the local meat. The sweet potato fries were amazing! The service was prompt and friendly and the food was out quickly. This is what Richmond has needed!!!

My husband and I just finished lunch and am sorry to say we were a little disappointed. The décor is fantastic, the wait staff was very friendly, welcoming and attentive. The menu offered some great-looking choices with dishes you don’t see every day. The disappointment came when our dishes arrived. The portions are SO small. My husband had the tenderloin sandwich, which he said was delicious, and the roasted sweet potato salad(again equally delicious) but he was still hungry when he finished. I had the curry chicken salad wrap which had a wonderful flavor but had VERY little chicken salad. The iced tea was fresh brewed and very good but was served in very small glasses which seemed so strange for iced tea. The waiter, however, did a great job of refilling the tea. Our lunch with tip was $ 32 and since we both left hungry, was disappointing to us. We are thrilled to have another locally-owned dining choice in Richmond and this has the potential to be a favorite if one felt they were getting their money’s worth. I will definitely go back for another try in hopes this is just part of a new restaurant building up steam.

Absolutely delicious! I love the Italian wedding soup, and the meatloaf sandwich is probably my new go to comfort food. I finished my meal a half hour ago and I’m still enjoying that sandwich just thinking about it.
