Taboo

Taboo is probably the best place to get all your needs satisfied, if you catch my drift. Whether you are coming here alone or with your partner there is always gonna be something to find that will please you. The staff that works there is super friendly and willing to make sure you find the best thing for you. They are honest and just want to make sure you will be happy with your purchase. They have an extensive collection of DVDs so know matter what you are in to they will most likely have it. It’s a fun little place and as a girl I have always felt comfortable shopping there.

Taboo is a great location for ALL of your bedroom needs. No, really, ALL OF THEM. There was not a single thing I have ever heard of that I didn’t see here, it was incredibly impressive.
Came here with a lady friend on a whim to peruse their offerings. I had the good fortune to come by when someone was just pulling out of a space, though it was easy to tell how screwed I would have been if that space hadn’t been available. No street parking, either: just 5 spaces in a private small lot.
Anyway, once inside, I was overwhelmed by the sheer number of products here. Lots of outfits, toys, lubricants, specialty items, etc. I was especially impressed by their extensive collection of DVDs: basically, if it’s legal, they’ve got it. They had an impressive array of parody DVDs too, so if you like to laugh out loud while watching your porn, they’ve got you covered. Their selection of specialty items is impressive, and they even had ones I have never even seen offered online. Clearly they buy directly from some very specific, limited-​run manufacturers.
Ironically, one consequence of having so many products is limited maneuverability within the store. While the parking lot clearly indicates this place was never meant to hold large numbers of customers simultaneously, my lady friend and I still ended up having to take a careful route around the store to avoid bumping into the other customers.
Prices are what you’d expect to see: pricey to cover the overhead of a brick-​and-​mortar shop. My advice? If you have very specific tastes, buy your specialty items here; skip the generic ones, those are best ordered online. Can’t speak on the service here since no one approached us, though they seemed amiable enough to the people they were talking to.
I highly enjoyed coming here and would gladly return if I had something specific in mind that I wanted… assuming I could find a place to park!

Pros:
— The most impressive collection of items I have ever seen in an adult store, hands down.
— The DVD section is particularly varied, and the fact that they offer such a wide array of parodies makes this place worth going to, if only to see what’s out there.
— Items are attractively presented and clearly priced.
Cons:
— High prices, though that’s pretty much par for the course for adult stores.
— Layout of the store makes it difficult to navigate even with only a few customers present.
— Parking is INCREDIBLY difficult. You can park at a nearby establishment and walk over, though that’s quite a risk to take.

My son is in the marines. He asked for some entertainment but didn’t elaborate. He’s got a blow up sheep and blow up fat girl coming his way as well as some stuff to dress them up with. I was disappointed that there was no material that featured midgets because I know my son and his buddies would always remember something like that showing up in the Christmas pack on the boat. He’s in the middle east right now, I hope the locals don’t take his sheep from him, I paid good money for it! Taboo, thanks for having a few goodies. Please get some videos and magazines with midgets in them, my son has a few more months under way.

I feel like it’s almost a bit taboo to be penning a review about Taboo!
After one visit here, I must say that this risqué shop is the perfect place to purchase bachelorette party schwag — games, gifts, or decorations. When I first walked in I thought, «hmm this place isn’t as big as I expected.» And then I noticed the room filled with lingerie and outfits. And then I noticed the room filled with bachelorette paraphernalia and high heels. And of course I saw the entire right side of the shop, with dildos and vibrators and lube and cash register. And I’m pretty sure I saw a DVD filled room as well, but I didn’t even explore the entire shop!
Although I’m not a frequenter of sex shops, I’d be willing to bet that there’s not much you can’t find at Taboo. And from how friendly the service was during my visit, I’m sure they can point you in the right direction if by chance they don’t offer whatever it is you’re looking for.

I went here last week to get a racy gift for a friend who was turning the big «4−0″ and felt the need to stray out of the boundaries of good taste for just this once. I was pleased with how well merchandised the place was but disappointed how little inventory their seemed to be on display. I walked around and tried not to turn red while ogling pretty much every sex toy on could ever want.
From what I could tell, it seems like the big business is done in DVD sales. From» Little Anal Annie” to «Poonies» they seemed to be flying out of the back room like hot cakes if one was to judge by the multiple sales I saw while waiting at the register.
I had to get help as I had no idea what to get. I found a sexy négligée kind of dress up number that wasn’t too slutty, we next looked at whips but I think they were a little too advanced for the recipient and settled on a nice feather tickler. I then got a combination c-​ring and vibrator for both of them to enjoy and finished up with some BJ mints! I got out for right around 50 bucks and I can’t tell you what a huge hit my gift was at the party… I am waiting to find out how the groom to be liked it…*wink.

I love Taboo! First off, it’s female owned with female employees so it takes away a lot of the creep factors that a lot of sex shops have.
Plus, being female run has a lot of perks when you are a woman shopping for sex toys because you have less of a chance of buying crap in that situation.
They have a great selection of dvds for rent or for purchase, something for all different kinds of tastes.
I never feel uncomfortable at Taboo. The staff is super friendly.
The only downsize is that they don’t have a very big costume/​lingerie selection.
